On this spoiler free bonus episode, we're talking about Whistle, starring the legend that is Nick Frost and Sophie Nélisse. Join us as we discuss the difference between paying homage to horror movie influences and using their ideas to trying to pass those off as your own; so which of these did we think Whistle did? From unoriginal themes to predictable, but lovable characters. This episode is as easy listening as whistle was easy watching. One to add to your list of films you don't need to ACTUALLY pay attention to to enjoy it. (Those films are important in today's world where nothing is light hearted.)When you're finished listening you can head over to our socials and check out our alternate IMDB synopsis' for this film and more!
Happy Valentine's day to the lovers (and the haters). We have spun our extra special valentine's day episode and the fates have spoken, they have redeemed themselves after last year's ABSOLUTE dud, as we are talking about the 1981 underrated slasher, My Bloody Valentine.Unlike the Jensen Ankles remake the film really paved the way for practical effects and creative kills. From a long list of cast members who we couldn't tell apart, to everyone's favourite segment... we have some horror roulette architecture.Join us as we talk sexual tension and well worked out masturbation muscles aswell as deciding whether we found My Bloody Valentine...Spooky or Dookie...
SEND HELP!!! More like, send you over to our patreon at www.patreon.com/horrorroulettepodcastWe're here again in 2026 after a cold rainy nights walk to our local cinema to experience the man, the myth, the legend that is Sam Raimi, create another Horror for our sicko viewing pleasure, Send Help.We broke down our expectations based on Raimi's previous works and seeing the trailer(s) for Send Help. We discuss gore, CGI versus practical effects and as we are SPOILER FREE, we discuss what we think this film means and not the plot.Thank you for joining us for yet another review in 2026, rate this episode and podcast and share us on all social media and join us on ours.
It's episode 76 and you wouldn't believe it but we've pulled our SECOND sequel!!! That's right, if you’re reading this before you listen, the fates have selected Another WolfCop for our horror movie of… the week. You'll remember the fun we had with this zany (slightly disgusting) horror comedy the first time round and your jumping back into the action for more fun, more gore and more wolf cock! From fun practical effects, and mad plat twists to characters that could have been more fleshed out (pun intended) and an ending that felt anti-climactic.Stay with us for those entirely necessary fun facts and whether we found Lowell Dean’s sequel… Spooky or Dookie?
DON'T F##K WITH CHIMPANZEES!A short life lesson I think we learned while watching the film for our new SPOILER FREE review, Primate.Nellie and Anthony went through all the emotions whilst watching a slasher/monster hybrid horror that has some of the most shocking body horror we've seen since Art the clown graced our screens and nightmares. He has been replaced by Ben, just because he's wearing human clothes and has an ipad does not make this furry family friend a friend at all.Head over to our socials to let us know what you thought of the film and the episode... flatulence and all.
It's February and we're ready for a review heavy month as we're starting with the little heard about (by us) YouTuber Markiplier, written, directed, self funded and starred in sci-fi horror, Iron Lung.Based on the game of the same name, this film bought us to moments of pure panic, levity, panic, even more panic and then leaving the cinema asking ourselves how this didn't end up being one of our most anticipated horror of 2026.Join us for our SPOILER FREE review and head over to our socials to interact with us and other sickos!
On this Episode of Horror Roulette Podcast we are joined by the wonderful Clelia McElroy from Monstrous Flesh, her encyclopedic knowledge has really raised the tone of this podcast that enjoys a fart joke. Clelia bought along an INCREDIBLE wheel we've dubbed the "Women in Horror Wheel" and the fates have chosen the 1974 cult movie, Messiah of Evil, written and directed by Willard Hyuck and Gloria Katz of Howard the Duck fame. (Who knew?).Clelia talks us through this uncanny watch and describes her love for liminal spaces and the Giallo style whilst Nellie coos over the camera angles and shots and how striking she found the bright red blood. After the conversations of female representation and how the red flags are redder than the blood moon. Clelia's excellent knowledge gives Anthony's FUCK YEAH FILM FACTOIDS a run for there money, but he holds his own, even if he's becoming suspicious that he may be replaced.Stick around until the end to find out whether Clelia manages to persuade Anthony that Messiah of Evil, is in fact... Spooky... and not Dookie...
We return... to the cinema to watch the very low rotten tomato rated, Return to Silent Hill to make our own minds up on whether this game to film adaptation makes Anthony want to dress up as pyramid head and parade around town scaring the living daylights out of everyone or want to be mutilated by the aforementioned sword weilding beast. We have some game comparatives from the 2001 Silent Hill 2 the film's story is based upon and how juxtaposition, even in a Silent Hill movie, is way more important then it seems to be to the films writers.Enjoy our spoiler free review and let us know whether you enjoyed the film itself or if you'll be avoiding this one yourselves altogether.
On this week’s episode we've hit uncharted territory by covering our first ever sequel. That’s right Sickos, the fates have FINALLY given us a second film! "Which film?" Join us for our own fan theories and comparisons with the first film to the second whilst we can't stop gushing over the handsome stud Bruce Campbell. Ted Rami's cameo was also something we just couldn’t hand-le.If you stick around through the fabulous FUCK YEAH FILM FACTOIDS (another shout out to Stephen King) we're playing a fun little game... let's hope you get the rules better than Anthony and don't forget to find out if we found Evil Dead 2…Spooky or Dookie?

On Episode 73 we are DELIGHTED to have spun our wheel and for the first time since episode episode 6, a fun and spooky Horror Adjacent. We're doing 1995's, Casper. It's in every spooky goth girl starter pack and what made a generation fall in love with Devon Sawa.Between conversations of a star filled cast and unbelievable cameos, we're sprinkling in our own personal brand of delirious ramblings on plot holes and why Casper is a classic gothic romance that rivals the likes of Wuthering Heights and even Frankenstein. If you stick with us through the fuck yeah film factoids you'll find out if we found Casper...Spooky or Dookie...

We also draw parallels and comparisons to other iconic horror movies and how this modern Gothic tale compares to it's predecessors.Between the sarcasm and cursing we think you'll find this episode very inciteful (just don't drink the water), stick around while we tell you whether we found A Cure for Wellness... It's Episode 70, the Christmas wheel is being spun for the last time this year, seeing as it is boxing day and Christmas has passed, the fates saw fit for us to watch the 2007 Vampire action horror, 30 Days of Night; starring the under rated scream king, Josh Hartnet. In between discussing the exciting nature of this film and the practical effects that still hold up 18 years later, Nellie and Anthony dig deep into vampire folk-lore and their own personal theories about this particular vampire clan and also of course discussing the character's development... or lack of!Join us for the final time in 2025 to find out whether 30 Days of Night is...
