Dr. Strati shares about trials happening at MD Anderson for DLBCL and follicular lymphoma. Dr. Melani discusses the latest updates from the VVIP, VIPOR, and VIPOR-P studies, which are clinical trials for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The goal of these studies is to improve the outcome for patients with relapsed or refractory lymphomas by using targeted therapy combinations. Targeted therapies block specific proteins that cancer cells need to grow and survive. The conversation also discusses these three clinical trials' design and treatment protocols.
Defining and tracking progression/remission in follicular lymphoma patients can be subjective and complicated. In this episode, we are joined by Dr. Juan Pablo Alderuccio. Dr. Alderuccio recently published his research on PET-based biomarkers in lymphoma patients. His research aims to give patients a more accurate knowledge of their lymphoma prognosis.
