00:00 All right, welcome back to the program. Let's go to Clay up near Shelby. How you doing, Clay? Hey, how you doing, Charlie? I'm great. What's up, man? It's nice to talk to you. Thank you. I agree with everything you always talk about. love your show. Thank you, sir. What's up? I'm just going to say, you know, I hear people talk about gas and feeding the kids. I just want to run this by you. You're probably a man. close to the 60. I'm a 60 year old man. All right. And I'm going to ask you a question. 00:30 You know, people talk about prices going up and inflation's not coming down. My opinion is, is one of times, you know, when taxes go up for your county taxes, do they ever go down? No, they don't. And same thing as this. Have you noticed how packaging of foods and stuff are getting smaller? Yeah. Shrinklation. 00:59 charge you the same price. Yeah. When these companies, which I can't blame them because they're making money because they can charge you and they say, Hey, they're still paying for it. It's kind of simple there. They're not going to change their prices going down. Even if the gas prices go down, it's just like the tactics. It's not going to go down. I've been living long enough. I've seen this over and over. Can you explain? mean, 01:29 That's just kind of a simple scenario. Companies make money. Yeah. Well, that's why they go into business to make money. Somebody sent me a text talking about how, because we were talking about three gallons of gas or something is all you could get back in 73. And they were like, yeah, but, you know, gas was only 30 cent a gallon back then. But the average income, the median family income in 1973 was like $12,400. 01:59 Dr. Ramon, that about about a half for $68,000. Yeah, yeah. Beautiful house, you know? I'm just saying the same situation is people complain about inflation. Why are they coming down? Well, our inflation is coming down. I mean, now compared to what it was under Biden, I appreciate it, Clay, compared to what it was under Biden when it was over 9%. I mean, it's holding pretty steady at 2.4. Now, chances are 02:29 Next month is going to go over up a little bit because of what's going on in Iraq and not all and we saw it would go away. Well, remember it went down to 2.3 inflation went down to 2.3 then it bumped back up to 2.4 because of the longest government shutdown in history. Thank you, John Thune and the Democrats. 02:52 Really, that's our biggest problem. But when you look at the cost of a gallon of gas ... 03:01 So much of that is taxes and regulations. It's not even funny. In fact, in California, they just shut down three refineries because they just can't handle all the regulations. Well, thankfully, we got a new one being built. Now, how long it takes to build a refinery, I don't know. We got the first one in 50 years is being built. I think it's down in Brownsville, Texas. That's going to help. But again, that's that's 03:31 Gosh, probably years away from that happening. 03:37 But we forget that under Joe Biden, gas peaked at $5.03 a gallon nationwide. $5.03. Right now, national average is $3.71. 03:55 So we're still a long, uh long way from Joe Biden. And we are still better off than we ever would have been under Kamala Harris, without a doubt. But the Democrats have made headway. We know that they won in Virginia. um Abigail Spanberger won that race for governor. And ever since this woman became governor of Virginia, it has been a nightmare. 04:25 An absolute nightmare for those people in Virginia. I you to listen to what they're doing. They've got these new gun control bills in Virginia, and some of them do not apply to lawmakers. We think this job has gotten dangerous in the last couple years. Well, how many Virginians out there believe that they're in a situation where they need to protect themselves? 04:53 But yet we don't listen to them, well not me, but this body's not gonna listen to them because they think they need to ...
00:00 All right, let's go to the phones. Let's talk to Chuck and Mills River. How you doing, Chuck? What are you doing with ACDC? That's right. There you go. I appreciate that. And man, that's a lovely new collar belt you got going on there. Where'd you get that? My wife got that for me for Christmas. Isn't that good? Well, it's lovely. think it sounds because it is better than, you know, there's nothing wrong with the old one, but that one, that one does sound better. But let me get this straight. You got a rangefinder. 00:30 and a brand hammer new bell for Christmas. No, I got the rangefinder for my birthday. I got the bell for Christmas. Oh, my bad. Yeah. You're one of us. You're one of us poor folks. That's right. That's right. Well, I got a little bit more than the bell for Christmas. I got a new golf bag too. But yeah. What's up, man? Oh, there you go. Hey, I want to talk about since you were talking about the new oil refinery or gas refinery, however you want to put it. I to remind people, I want to say it was 2001 or 2002. 01:00 during the George W administration where Chuck Schumer said that, you know, because Congress has to license, I believe, refineries. have to go through the licensing process through Congress. Yeah. And they had allocated some money for that. And Chuck Schumer said, oh, it'll be years before it's built. It'll be 10 years before we'll even notice that we've even built one before it'll notice a price change. Well, guess what? You know, that was, you know, that was, we'd have had 01:28 a new refinery 15 years ago and it had been pumping out. then think about the other lies. It's not really a lot. They were talking about how under Obama, that we were pumping out, know, we're making more gas than ever, blah, blah, blah. They're operating at 104 % efficiency. Well, if that's the case, you're overworking them and should take some stress off of those factories. And I do know a little bit about gasoline and propane and compressed natural gas from the automotive industry. 01:58 I worked on that for quite some time. But the point being was that the refineries that we had were being so overstressed. if anything happened to one of them, it could have collapsed a goodly portion of the system that we have in place. So I think it's really great news that we've got a new one built. to the two, I think you said there were two that went under or in There were three, no, three in California. 02:28 california would be surprised yeah right uh... but indian but the new ones that they're making now are probably going to one of the new thing new technology and uh... everything going into it are probably going to be able to replaced more than just one of those losses but we have got to get on the ball with refineries we have as a nation that i mean i don't care what anybody says it's 02:55 Oil is the lifeblood of America. like Russell and Ball always said, there's no better fuel, no better bang for your buck than gasoline. I mean, we can argue the environment or whatnot, but look at these batteries in the Teslas and Priuses and stuff. They had to let them burn for days and days because they couldn't spray water on them put them out. And just any number of things. That's what I wanted to say. uh 03:25 good path that we're on and energy independence is the name of the game. If we can do that, if we can remain in our own arena with that, I think we'll be just fine. That's about all I to say. I think you're right. I appreciate it, Chuck. Thank you. You guys remember. 03:47 Under Joe Biden, when Joe Biden said he was going to do away with the oil industry, he's just going to do away with it. He's just going away. He's just going to phase it out. Remember that? I think sometimes we forget how good we've got it. Here, I'm going to give an example coming up in just a second. Right now, I want to go to Pete in Anderson. Pete, welcome. 04:15 Hey, welcome, Charlie. Thanks for taking my call. Yes, sir. A of i ...

And they were like, yeah, but, you know, gas was only 30 cent a gallon back then. But the average income, the median family income in 1973 was like $12,400. 02:00 Dr. Bermondetti bought it the house for $68,000. Beautiful house. I'm just saying the same situation is people complain about inflation. Why ain't it coming down? Well, our inflation is coming down. 00:00 All right, let's go to the WRG talk live and talk to Robert in Mills River. How you doing, Robert? I'm doing good. I caught in a little early today. Charlie, I hear you at six o'clock, man. But I'm going to tell you straight up, I didn't like nothing that Prime Minister of Iran had to say. And that little old gal backing him all the way. And then when the other guy come on, yeah, he was talking there. I mean, he talked so 00:26 cool and he's smiling the whole time. looks just like a true Republican look on there. And he just lashed right back at that little gal. don't know none of her names on ABC there, but I was there with that. And it was terrible to me the way she greeted the guy from the ranch, so great. uh 00:50 kind of like the other guy she was trying her best to get some on him. I really I don't understand what here I do understand why I do understand 100%. It's all got to do with Donald Trump. It's just Donald Trump that seems so bad don't that they have. Well, I'm glad I my 2028 at Charlie. There you go. Hi Roberts got his 2028 hat on and he is ready to go. I buddy I appreciate about me and well you see. 01:19 heads explode, let Trump announce he's going to run for president again. Oh, take that to the Supreme Court and see. This was amazing. When I saw this this weekend, I was like, what? Are you kidding me? We all know Jasmine Crockett. We all know Jasmine Crockett. Failed in her primary bid to James Tellerico. She lost. 01:48 to a guy that says God is non-binary. She lost to a guy that says Jesus was in favor of abortion. She lost, that's the guy that she lost to, okay? So now we found out that a member of, well, listen to this on Fox News, this is gonna blow your mind. We do have some news back here at home, swat officers killing Texas Congresswoman 02:17 Jasmine Krogh gets former bodyguard in a standoff in Dallas last week. Law enforcement sources telling CBS News that he had been wanted for impersonating a police officer. He was shot after reportedly driving to a parking garage and barricading himself inside a car. Eventually, officers used tear gas to force him out. That's when officers say he pulled a gun on law enforcement. Police have not released his real name yet. We do have some news back here at home. believe that? 02:46 A member of Jasmine Crockett's head of security. 02:53 This guy. 02:57 imitating a police officer. 03:01 Yeah, I know that's Unfortunately, that's a crime I have committed, but I'll tell you that story later. Anyway, so this guy impersonating a police officer. 03:17 pulled a gun, this was a jasmine Crockett. Even over at CBS News, they said, despite the criminal background, ah Representative Jasmine Crockett's longtime security guard, he was a wanted fugitive going by the alias Mike King, was shot and killed by Dallas SWAT after a standoff in the parking garage at the Children's Health Hospital. 03:44 The convicted felon had a criminal history dating back to 2009, including felony and misdemeanor charges. He was actively wanted on an outstanding warrant for impersonating a police officer. CBS News said, despite the criminal background, sources say Robinson was able to forge a new identity as Mike King, where he not only became a prominent figure as a security officer for Representative Crockett while in office and during her recent US Senate campaign. 04:13 Sources said the convicted felon was also able to run a business placing North Texas law enforcement officers in off-duty jobs through his business called Off Duty Police Services. Some of those officers told CBS News that Robinson, who they knew as Mike King, told them he was a detective with the U.S. Capitol Police, which may have led to the federal investigation that resulted in the hunt for him last week. Impersonating a police officer. 04:44 is not a good thing. 04:48 But I'll be honest with you, I've done it. What's the statute of limitations on that? I'm pretty sure it's run out by now. So when ...
00:01 And welcome back to the program. Glad to have you along with us on this Monday afternoon. I know it's been a nasty, nasty Monday. Well, as I told you before, what President Trump is doing over in Iran is he is exposing all of those people that aren't really our allies. They were frenemies at best. England, France. We've known that about France ever since Macron. 00:31 and Canada, Canada as well. 00:37 the Canadian government. I here you've got the members of the IRGC, the Iranian Guard, living in Canada. 00:52 They are refusing to deport them. you want to know why? 00:58 Well, we don't have any flights to Iran, Yeah, we got to leave them here, eh? We got to leave them all up here in Canada, eh? Because we just don't have any flights going out to Iran, eh? You don't have any military flights you can put them on? The Iranian Guard, the people that were shooting the protesters in the back, the people that are loyal to the Islamic regime? 01:22 How about you do this? You arrest them. You seize their assets. You keep them under close watch. That's what you should do. Canada's not even doing that. Just no flights to Iran, Can you believe it? Yeah. That's who they are. 01:50 No, do listen. They're not. They are not. Your friends, in fact, Canada's military. Was actually attacked by the Islamic Republic back on March 1st. Mark Carney didn't even mention it. 02:09 The prime minister is completely okay with the Islamic regime trying to slaughter their soldiers. Nobody said a word about it. Unbelievable. Let's go to Bill in Rock Hill. Bill, welcome. 02:27 on a dog. 02:32 up or feeding my kids. 02:36 We put Trump in there to give us some relief and it seems like it's yet to happen. Well, it did happen until about, what, three weeks ago? Yeah, but I mean, you're talking 20, 30 cent. I mean, know, I'm telling my dad, my life has not really gotten a lot better since Trump's gotten in. mean, know, inflation's still high. No, it's not. It's 2.4 percent. Under Joe Biden, it was over 9 percent. 03:12 No, no, prices are down now under Donald Trump than they were under Joe Biden. 03:20 Well, I mean, I'm going there daily. I see them, you know, I don't feel much relief. you know, my life was pretty peaceful before the Iran and I'm a Trump supporter. So I support Trump doing what he's doing, but it's still hurting the average Joe's pocketbook. You know, I'm trying to decide, hey, do I get gas or feed my kids? All right. Well, I appreciate it, Bill. I don't think we've gotten to the get gas or feed the kids. 03:50 portion yet. I don't I be honest with you. Since the war started. I haven't even filled up yet. I haven't filled up yet. Let's go to Neil in Greenville Neil welcome. Hey Charlie, thanks for taking my call. I keep hearing occasionally some people say and all these gas prices and not supporting the war in Iran. I don't understand how these people. 04:19 Where were they after the last 47 years while these Iranians were killing Americans? Yeah, attacking our ships, attacking our military, right? Shouting death to America. This we didn't start this war. Just like the rest of them. Trump is ending this war. Yeah. Talk to an Iranian person and ask them what they think about the president Trump right now. Yeah. They love him. They are out. They absolutely they say they are indebted. 04:45 to him because he has liberated these people. So all of you idiots out there who can't support the fact that our president wants to liberate the world and bring peace, we can't help you. We can't help you. Okay. Thanks, Charlie. I appreciate it. Thank you. Let's say, let's say gas prices went up 30 cent a gallon. Let's say you got a 16 gallon tank, right? You see where I'm going with this? You got 30 cents a gallon. 05:16 and you got a 16 gallon tank. 05:20 you are paying $4.80 more for a fill up. $4.80. 05:29 If that $4.80 05:35 Well, let me put it this, I doubt that's keeping you from putting food on the table. ...

00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:28 spacious skies for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 Share his grace on P. m 01:21 America is back. Yes, sir. And we are back. Let's go to the WRD talk line and talk to Larry in Reedville. How you doing, Larry? Doing fine. I trust you having a good day as well. I am, sir. Yes, thank you. What's up? All I want to do is add a little bit on why I think the Democrats chose. 01:42 to include the TSA in the shutdown. And you probably already know this on the thing. find all the monitors or TVs and all airports, the TV news that's on there is CNN. Yeah. And so a lot of people probably don't realize that, a lot of these people are getting a lot of false news while they're sat there angry, waiting in line. You're right about that. 02:08 Are you are you right? don't know what kind of a contract CNN has with these airports, but they are everywhere. You're right. I appreciate it, Larry. Thank you very much. OK, so how many people? 02:25 on the bingo card had Donald Trump getting radical leftist women to actually support the Iranian regime. Anybody have that? thought ... Wow. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I want you to listen to this woman. Her name is Katrina. 02:50 She appears to work for the Guthrie Clinic in New York. Ooh, a healthcare provider. Let's see what Katrina has to say. Now, I ran. You do know that your target is not New York City, right? I just want you to understand the assignment, okay? And because we don't, we don't agree with this, but your target is Washington, D.C. and Mar-a-Lago, okay? Not New York City, not anywhere else. Those two places, okay? We here? Don't miss like the last person. 03:18 Okay. Don't miss like the last person. Well, she's not the only one. This is a woman. um Looks like she's a nurse in Philadelphia named Shannon Smith, who works at Aurora Home Home Care. Here we go. So I heard the new leader of Iran wants to take out you know who and leader of Iran. If you're seeing this for any reason, I just want you to know that 03:48 Most of us are rooting for you, actually, but I think most of us would like it to be kind of slow and painful if you wouldn't mind. Okay. Go get them, bud. Go get them, Go get them, bud. Go get them. Go get them. That's right, the Iranian regime. 04:19 Yeah. Have you seen the video? Maybe we should send um Shannon Smith over at Aurora Home Healthcare, um the videos of the women being beaten in the streets of Iran. Maybe we could just show her that. you know, maybe we could just show her. I mean, she works in the healthcare industry, so she might not be screamish. uh Show her pictures of the genital mutilation. 04:47 of that goes on. Just show her some of that stuff. How about that? How about we do that? How about play her the video of the imams that says it's okay for men to beat their husbands and not out of anger, but out of correction. They need to be corrected. And the video of the guy saying, listen, if a nine-year-old girl can get pregnant, 05:13 then she is not off limits. Not off limits. 05:19 So yeah, so these are the women. This is the new women's rights movement. Now I want you to hear Joy Reid who says probably the dumbest thing ever. Our regime has secret police. They have secret police. Our regime is oppressing women, taking away abortion rights, taking away women's rights in like 26 countries, 26 states, some states where they're trying to have the death penalty for having an abortion. They also oppress women. They have the highest rate of women who are in STEM careers. We're kicking women out. 05:48 of the military, out of university. We're saying that DEI means women can't be hired for high positions in the sciences. So we're marginally better and we're doing it for Christianity. They're doing it for Isl ...
00:02 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Brian in Gaffney. How you doing, Brian? Hey, Charlie, I don't agree with uh Joy Reid and I don't want Iran to win the war. Robert Kiyosaki said that Iran is playing an economic war while the United States is playing a kinetic war. And the longer they're in it, they're winning. If they're not losing, then they're winning because the United States can't take them out right now. 00:31 And Iran is winning the economic war by controlling the Strait of Hormuz. And it's going to take a lot of uh begging of Donald Trump to get South Korea or England or anybody else to help with the Strait of Hormuz. I don't think it's going to take a lot of begging at all. don't think it's going to take a lot of No, no, no, no, no, no, because remember they're going to benefit from this too. I don't think they will though. Well, then uh screw them. 00:59 Then screw them. mean, I know Keir Starmer is a socialist, then we ought to put massive tariffs off anything that comes through the Gulf of the Strait of Hormuz and show them exactly they're there. Trump is already exposing the lily-livered, do-nothing nations out there, like Canada, like France, like England, the ones that were supposed to be. Did you know that France is harboring Iranian regime members right now? I mean, not France, Canada. 01:30 I'm sure they are. This is a war that we shouldn't have been in though. is going to happen like Vietnam. No, it is not. I guarantee you it's not. It's only been two weeks. We just took Karg Island. The north, east and west of Iran are mountains. The only way we can get in is through the south and we're getting 2,500 Marines to go there. Just like Vietnam, they'll get 5,000 to help them and then 10,000 more after that. This is a big mistake. Okay. 01:59 All right, we'll see, Brian, we'll see. Hadn't been a mistake so far. just took... This whole thing, let me tell you something. You know why this thing is the way it is? Because right now, you know who Donald Trump is really worried about? The people of Iran. He's worried about the people of Iran. Now, if we were at war with the people of Iran, this thing would be over with. 02:27 You go in, he could take out their entire electric infrastructure right now. He could have blown up all of Cargillian instead of the military installations that they had there. He could have taken it all out, but he didn't. All of this waffling that I'm seeing from a lot of Republicans, so-called Republicans out there, is very unappetizing to me. 02:54 I just had a text they're talking about, oh, we're sick and tired of Donald Trump. Donald Trump lied. We need a true MAGA leader. Oh, do we really? Well, there was a poll that was done by YouGov slash The Economist that say that 91%, 91 % of MAGA supporters approve of President Trump's actions in Iran. 91%. 03:22 Among all Republicans, 83 % approved. So don't give me this, know, oh, MAGA doesn't like, no, you're wrong. You're wrong. As usual, you're wrong. So CNN recently did a poll and I know they hated to report this, but here's what it was. Are voters feeling about Democrats right now? Yeah, I mean, Democrats in the minds of the American public. 03:49 are lower than the Dead Sea. What are we talking about here? Well, let's take a look at the net approval rating for Democrats in Congress. You said it, Kate Baldwin, the lowest ever. Look at this. Overall, they are 55 points underwater. Their approval rating is south of 20%. It's even worse when you look at independents. Look at this, negative 61 points. That means that their approval rating is 61 points lower than their disapproval rating. Quinnipiac has been polling this question for the better part of the 21st century. 04:19 They have never found Democrats, at least those in Congress, in worse shape than they are right now. Worse than ever. Now, once you think about this, Democrats are worse. They have the lowest approval rating that they hav ...
00:00 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. 00:28 spacious skies for amber waves of 00:37 For purple mountain majesties. 00:59 Share his grace on P. uh 01:21 America is back. That's right. The Iranian regime. They're doing it for Is ...
00:00 Welcome to the program on this nasty, yucky, stormy Monday. I tell you what, uh we didn't get much of the house today. We got about 30, 45 seconds, maybe of some strong winds as this thing came through. Other places got a lot worse, so we hardly got anything at all. um We did hear about uh one business in Gaffney. 00:30 apparently lost their roof. Somebody was talking about today how they think they had a tornado at their house and I don't believe that's what it was. Of course, that'll all have to be verified by the National Weather Service and all of that stuff. NOAA. But a lot of people will sometimes mistake straight line wind damage with rotational wind damage and those two are different things. 01:00 It could have been a lot worse. mean, they were expecting some bad stuff. They've still got some warnings going on down in Charleston. We had friends up in Mooresville. They lost power. And they were like, we lost power and we get ready to go on a trip. And I'm like, man, that stinks. somebody's telling you not to go on a trip? How many signs do you need not to go on that trip? 01:27 When a storm comes and you're getting ready and all the power goes out, might not want to go. But anyway, looks pretty good here in the upstate. Thankfully, thankfully so. But now it's going to bring in cold weather, right? And what I think Wednesday night and Thursday, going to get down to 27, something like that? It's going to be unbelievable, 32 tonight. So I got to go out and I got to turn the spigots off or the one spigot that I have on at my house. 01:57 Don't want that thing to freeze. Wouldn't that be awful in the springtime? 02:02 You get a frozen pipe in a bus, that would be absolutely horrible. what else we got going on in the world today? Of course, we've got Operation Epic Fury. We'll talk a little bit more about that in the Gulf of Hormuz. um That is still not open. A lot of people are wondering, a lot of people are wondering what the plan was. Some people are thinking there wasn't even a plan. I will guarantee you there was some sort of a plan. what President Trump, and this is kind of smart, you see, because at this point, 02:33 None of these other countries have any skin in the game. 02:37 And all of these countries depend on that oil going through the Gulf of Hormuz. But they're not offering any assistance, especially people like France, you know, the folks in the European Union. What Trump is trying to do is trying to make these folks pony up because then they will have a vested interest in making sure that the strait, did I say the Gulf, was the Strait of Hormuz, is absolutely safe and secure. They got to get in on this. 03:07 They're going to be the ones benefiting from it. They need to be the ones that are helping out in patrolling it and making sure that it's safe, right? Absolutely. Well, so we got Operation Epic Fury. We got the Strait of Hormuz. Don't know if you heard about what went on in Ecuador. Apparently, the government of Ecuador um came to the United States and they said, we need some help with our cartels. 03:37 Kind of in the middle of all of this stuff going on in the Middle East, we sent a couple of bombers over there to Ecuador and we took out some cartel members and now they're like, we love you guys. And they're raising the American flag over the embassy there in Ecuador for the first time in decades. So that was pretty cool. So then we got that. And then what else we got going on? Of course, we had Venezuela. That happened with Maduro. And now 04:07 Cuba might be the next to fall because apparently Cuba is having some pretty serious problems today. And breaking news into CNN. Cuba's electrical grid has suffered a complete and total collapse. This is according to the country's power operator. It's the first nationwide blackout since the US effectively shut off the flow of oil to Cuba. And now. 04:36 they have got a full blown collapse over there in Cuba. But, but, but, ...
00:00 Well, ladies and gentlemen, it happened today at noon, the call to the post. 00:09 That's right. It is now officially, I know it seems like it's been, but it's now officially political season here in South Carolina. Today at noon was the opening um of the filing season here in South Carolina. These were for partisan candidate filing periods that opened at noon today. It will close at noon on Monday, March the 30th. 00:37 All partisan candidates must file during this period in order to appear on the ballot. Now this can happen during regular business hours at all appropriate filing locations throughout the filing period. There are filing fees included on this and some of them are pretty steep. Now if you're running for South Carolina House of Representatives, that's only a $208 filing fee. If you're running for 01:07 Solicitor, that's gonna cost you $8,877. If you're running for the US House, $3,000, yeah, you heard me, $8,000 to run for a solicitor, right? I know, JJ's like, what? US House of Representatives, $3,480. You wanna run for the Senate? That's gonna cost you 10,440 smackeroonies. Basically, let's say, lieutenant governor, 4,243. 01:37 Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, um Comptroller General, Superintendent, those are $3,680. And now, let's say you want to run, but you just don't have the bucks. um You can actually file as a pauper. Yeah, they have a uh pauper clause where you can file as a pauper. 02:07 So, and the reason I found it was funny, we always had this guy that ran for mayor of Augusta, my hometown, and every election, every four years, he filed as a pauper to run. um his big campaign promise was that he was going to build a monorail from Augusta to Atlanta. A monorail. 02:37 all the way to it. I don't think you ever got much of a vote. But anyway, filing season is open. That means if you have been thinking about running for office here in South Carolina, maybe Greenville, Spartanburg County, those are different filing fees. You have to file those with the county. These are all the state filing fees. um Then m 03:01 And now is the time to make the decision because after what we've seen in the state house over the past year, over the past couple of years, over the past few decades, we have seen exactly how those people operate. And it is becoming more more abundantly clear. 03:23 that those folks really do not have our best interests at heart. mean, this is a job that pays a little over $10,000 a year plus per diem, um and they will fight tooth and nail to keep that job? So they're not in it for that salary, that's not the big thing, and they're not really in it for you, they're in it for all of the perks that come along with it. At least that's how it seems to me. I mean, why else would you fight? 03:54 like cats in a blanket. 03:57 for that job. There's gotta be something else involved. And we know with all the lawyer legislators out there, exactly what all of that does. It's good way to drum up business, especially when our state legislature is the one that appoints our judges. So, if you've been thinking about it, now's the time to do it. Go ahead and file, start that campaign because you have got less than three months now. 04:26 primaries are June the 9th and we have got to make some big changes in Columbia. We have made a little headway the last the last few special elections we had Republicans good conservative Republicans. 04:44 got in and maybe we can continue that trend. Maybe we can have a state. 04:53 that makes the people in Florida jealous instead of it being the other way around. I'm tired of looking at Florida going, man, I wish we could do that. I wish we could do that. 05:06 So we also might have another person. Now we know that Pamela Aved, Ralph Norman, Alan Wilson, Nancy Mace, and Josh Kimbrell are running for the governor's spot here in South Carolina. There may be a sixth candidate entering into that mix. Apparently we're goin ...

FULL SHOW - 03.13.2026

2026-03-1302:11:02

The March 13, 2026, episode of The Charlie James Show centers on a national security crisis fueled by airport delays, the potential collapse of Cuba, and the controversial renewal of FISA Section 702. The broadcast pushes for the S.A.V.E. America Act and Rep. Sheri Biggs’ anti-terrorism bill, while leveling sharp criticism at Senator John Thune and the "Islamic nationalist" influence on Democratic policy. Locally, the show highlights friction with the South Carolina Statehouse over energy legislation and questions the public absence of Governor McMaster during the federal shutdown.
00:00 Well, today, Jake Tapper started his program off with a little bit of a monologue. We're in a press conference this morning. Democratic governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, laid out what she saw as the clear motive. 00:17 Yesterday's attack was anti-Semitism. It was hate. Plain and simple. Temple Israel, as have many synagogues in this country, uh had prepared for the worst. There were armed security guards, multiple armed security guards already on site. Employees had taken an active shooter prevention class just a few weeks earlier. Their own caution prevented a far more horrible outcome in Michigan yesterday. 00:44 We should note that attack was just the latest in a long string of anti-Semitic violence in the United States and around the world in recent months. So why is it that so many public officials are still reluctant to call it out by name? In Dearborn, Michigan, police last night increased patrols around schools and mosques all across the city as a precautionary measure. Wait a minute. Hold on. Just a second. 01:16 You had an attack? 01:19 at a Jewish synagogue. 01:25 and they increased patrols at mosques? 01:30 Is that what you're trying to tell me? Jake Tapper? 01:35 Yes, Islamic, so an Islamic individual, Eman Mohammed Ghazali, 01:44 drives his truck into uh a Jewish temple and you increase patrols at mosques? Is that what you're telling me, Jake Tapper? 01:57 uh I am just, you would have thought, no, I'm no law enforcement expert. But if I've got an attack at a Jewish temple, I think I might be increasing security at Jewish temples. see, not the places of worship of the ideology that just attacked the Jewish temple. You see how weird that is? 02:28 But all during that monologue, Jay Tapper... 02:34 did not mention. 02:37 Islam did not mention Muslim, oh my gosh, was a joke told one time that said. 02:48 that said could you imagine 02:54 A Muslim got ahold of a dirty bomb and exploded it over a city and hundreds of thousands of Americans were killed. That would be horrible because of the backlash against the Muslim community. that was one of those jokes where people go, yeah, would be bad. But they didn't realize it. Hundreds of thousands of people are just killed by a Muslim terrorist attack and you're worried about 03:23 The backlash against the Muslim community? I think you got your priorities kind of mixed up there. Extremely mixed up. 03:34 This is a problem that's not only going on here, it's going on around the world. I want you to listen to this. 03:53 Do you know what that is? That is the Islamic call to prayer at the largest soccer stadium in England. 04:07 The biggest. Home of Manchester United. 04:14 and they allowed the Muslim call to prayer. I want to know, I want to go back and check. If I went to... 04:24 Old Trafford Stadium and I said, Hello, love, like to go in there and sing some hymns about the Lord. No, you wouldn't be able to do that. It wouldn't allow that. Can I just go in here and read some Psalms? No, can't do that. No, can't do that. Can I go in here and just read a few passages out of the Bible? No, no, no, Can I go do the Islamic call to prayer? Come on in. Everything's fine. Yes, you can. 04:53 England has been colonized. 100%. So last night over on, um over on X, which by the way, if you're not following me over on X, I would love if you were to do that at Charlie on air. That's at Charlie on air. also streamed the show live over there. um One person says, a hundred bucks says you never tweet when a good old American white dude kills anyone. 05:24 Okay, well, you see there's a difference here, and I'll explain that difference to you. um Here in the United States, sociologists group Americans into about 10 to 12 major religious families, so to speak. Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Taoism, Confucian traditions, Baha'i faith, 05:53 Native American religions and others. Okay, of that list, ...
00:00 All right, let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Robert in Mills River. How you doing, Robert? I'm doing good, Charlie. How are you? I'm great. What's up, I was just thinking this little old joke. He's talking about the jokes there. This is on Alatola back in the day. They said he went to get an examination at the hospital and all and the doctor told him, know, 00:25 He examined me and he said, you're healthy and body-wide. said, you're going to have to take that turbin off your head, you know, and let me look under it. I told him, no, you, I never took it off. said, you're going have take it off. So he took it off, he looked at me. 00:42 there's a frog sitting on top of his head. And he said, how'd that get that frog? started with the ward on my butt. I appreciate it, Robert. Thank you, buddy. Let's go to Lucas in Piedmont. What you doing, Lucas? Hey, Charlie. Happy Friday. Yes, sir. You too. So, you know, some incomplete thoughts here, but you had mentioned that, Joe, you were talking about a dirty bomb and whatnot. And of course, know, how it would negatively affect 01:10 the Muslim community. uh Only that reminds you of exactly uh Mamdani's sob story about how after 9-11 his mother got mean looks on the subway and how the entire thing of, know, 3000 people killed innocently, uh you know, just doing their own thing in this radically charged uh ideology and somehow 01:39 she's the victim here because people were uncomfortable. Yeah, and that whole thing, that was a Norm MacDonald joke. I appreciate the text for reminding me. couldn't, for some reason, Norm MacDonald's name slipped my mind. But he told that joke and then Mondani actually lived it out or claimed to live it. But it turned out it wasn't even his mom, it was his aunt or something ridiculous like that. They always have to come up with something. on the subject, uh 02:06 You know, it always seems like when it comes to, um, you know, the Muhammad Ali Abu Bakr names and, you know, how many shootings have we had at churches and synagogues and attempts to, uh, you know, detonate bombs in the ideology. 02:27 And everyone's like, well, we really don't know what the ideology is, or we don't know what the motive was. Right, yeah. They're saying that about Michigan right now. Well, of course. But then, your Twitter ex-harasser there who was like, oh, why don't you call out white people? Anytime there's a white person or something like that, they're like, oh, it must have been Trump, must have been radical Christianity or something like that. Yeah, white nationalism. to say that Charlie Kirk's shooter is still on the right. 02:56 Yeah, not because they're trying to throw out evidence from his social media accounts. It shows that it's not exactly true. Yep. And, know, uh, Jesse Smollett. Oh yeah. These guys tried to, tried to hurt me. And still we've got people on the left, like Abby Phillips and all them who were trying to say, well he was accosted and you know, is an anti, anti left, uh, Trump extremism that's out there. I mean, stop it. It's like, come on people. You're right. 03:25 You're right Lucas, they never want to take responsibility. Janice is in Gastonia. Janice, welcome. Hi Charlie. Hey, well I hope you're doing well on this Friday the 13th. I know right. Going under any ladders or crossing black cats. I hope not today. 03:44 And I'm hoping that I'm not the only one that feels this way. if it naturalized citizen commits a federal crime, I don't want to pay for them to go to prison. I don't want their butts out of this country where they can't hurt nobody else. There's no rehabilitation. They've proven that time and time again. And if I'm not mistaken, the attacks that we've had the last two weeks, it's either been children of naturalized citizens or naturalized citizens. 04:15 hate to say it, we need to get rid of the Muslims that believe the extreme Islamic only because you cannot, they believe and it's legal for them to marry a ni ...

Okay, of that list, of that list of re ...
00:02 Muhammad Jallah, Muhammad Jallah shouted Allahu Akbar before opening fire at Old Dominion. um That's been ruled a terrorist attack. Amen. Muhammad Ghazali, he's the guy that drove into the synagogue in Michigan. You had the two bomb throwers in New York City. You had the shooter in New York City. Terrorism is in our midst, ladies and gentlemen, right now. ah And what are we going to do about it? 00:32 That's the thing. What are we going to do about it? Joining us right now is Dr. Ehrenfeld, who is the author of uh Finding Evil, How Terrorism is Financed and How to Stop it. Dr. Ehrenfeld, welcome to the program, ah Thank you for having me. So, I mean, this is what is, I mean, when we look at all of this stuff, is there a common ideology behind all the terrorism? Yeah, since you asked, yeah. 01:02 This is Jihad and sacrificing one for Allah. So since October 7, 2023, when Hamas committed genocide against Israelis and others in Gaza, there have been more than 13,340 01:33 anti-Semitic attacks. That means attacks against Jews. 13,340? Yes. Wow. And this includes the attacks at the universities that we saw. were demonstrations all the time. Yeah. Okay. These attacks, this includes attacks on the streets. 01:59 This includes not only attacks from synagogues, there are many, many attacks which are not reported. People don't want to bother with it. People are attacked on the street because they have, they wear a kippah, something on the head that Orthodox Jews wear, or they wear a magendavid, it's a Star of David, as a jewelry. 02:27 They are being attacked all the time. now it's not just, I mean, we all know what happened at the Jewish Center in Michigan. Gretchen Whitmer said this was anti-Semitism and everybody's calling it out and saying it's a horrible thing, but nobody's pointing the finger at the ideology behind it. And like you said, it was jihad, right? Yeah. Well, the attacker, 02:54 absolutely that I have came from Dearborn Michigan right very crazy about half an hour drive from there and um at uh for example Dearborn both the mayor of the city is radical Muslim yeah who justified justified the attack saying that the family family and some friends of the attacker 03:24 uh... uh... previously because uh... bombing the Hezbollah. Well, it turns out that his brother apparently in Lebanon has been a member of Hezbollah. We don't know about him because nobody asked apparently the question when he became a citizen or when he arrived in the United States. um And for example, what they are teaching professors ah 03:52 had been quoting from me ah in Dearborn, ah the Ford Community College, Professor Ali Akbar Shadid said the following, Trump made a huge mistake by killing our leader Ali Khamenei. We are going to continue on his path. We are going to hold his blood and ideology and teach it to our children. This is this week. 04:22 after Ali Khamenei was killed a week ago, something by the United States and Israel. So they are continuing also to preach in their mosques all the time for jihad, to kill all the Jews, but it's not only the Jews. Now we see also more arise in attacks against Christian Americans. 04:48 ah So we have seen there was the attack in Austin, Texas. What is it? Two weeks ago, 12 people were shot. uh Others were wounded. We have seen the attacks, other attacks this week, uh like the attack on, oh what is it? Yeah, this was Austin, Texas. Yeah. Yeah, and also, 05:17 He also yelled, Anurag Akbar, was wearing an Iranian flag on his clothes. Right. Yeah. That was in New York. But again, it's like nobody in the mainstream media wants to point out you can't solve a problem unless you identify the problem, and they just don't want to identify the problem. You absolutely have to identify the problem. And you have to look at data, at statistics. 05:45 The Muslims in the United States account to about 1.2, maybe 1.3 percentage of the population. I don't know, 99 % of terrorist ...
00:02 The Democrats, the minority in the Senate, seem to be the majority. Because it's not just them. I mean, you got several senators out there that are like, I'm not voting for that as long as this provision is in it or that provision. Shut up. We're trying to secure our elections with the Save America Act. 00:28 The Democrats are using the only power. Oh, please understand this. Please, if you get nothing else from this segment, understand this. The only power that the Democrats have right now in the Senate is the power that John Thune allows them to have. 00:56 John Thune is giving them the power, not only to block funding for DHS and TSA and the Coast Guard and FEMA, he's also giving them, he's giving them the power. 01:12 to block the Save America Act. In fact, he's giving them the power to block over 200 bills that are sitting in the Senate. So really, the ultimate roadblock that we have in the Senate right now is John Thune. It's not the Democrats. The Democrats are only using the power that he gave them. 01:34 Wait a minute, a minute. uh Senator Thune, you said we can block these bills? That's right, you can block the bills. And you're not going to do anything to stop us? No, I'm not going to do anything to stop you. 01:52 But you could stop us if you wanted to. Yeah, I could. But you're not. No, I'm not. That's how that conversation is. You can pull that all down to that. 02:03 The only power the Democrats have is the power that John Thune's given them. And he could revoke that power like that. I just don't have the votes. uh I thought you were the Senate majority leader. I thought you led the Senate majority. But apparently you're not a leader. So then therefore you need to go. Well, Senator Mike Lee might have an idea. Let's take a listen to what he said. 02:33 Okay, important update on the Save America Act and the effort to get it passed. Look, I am guardedly optimistic. We've turned kind of a corner. Over the last few days, there's been some uncertainty about exactly what procedure we will be and will not be using. In the end, we've been working closely with Leader Thune and his staff, and they've been great to work with. What we're coming up with is something that I think is best described as a hybrid version of the talking filibuster. But look, let's not... 03:02 get mired down in nomenclature. What matters far more than what we call it is what we do with it. We're going to bring it to the floor. We're going to debate it for an extended period of time before filing cloture. And in my view, at least, I don't want to speak for anyone else. This bill needs to remain on the Senate floor before we file cloture on the bill for as long as it takes to get it done. Now, fact that Leader Thune and his office have been willing to work with us on this and they appear open to a variation of that is a good thing. So let's 03:32 Let's keep up the momentum. Let's encourage them to continue to do this. Let's put the bill on the floor. Let's make those who want to filibuster speak and keep it on there as long as possible. Thanks so much. Not really sure how that's a hybrid talking filibuster, but there you go. But please understand this. John Thune is gaslighting you. When he's talking about bringing this Save America to the floor of the Senate. 04:02 next week. He is gaslighting you. 04:08 This is nothing more than a show vote. That's all it is. It's a show vote. He knows it's not going to pass. He knows it's not going to pass 60 votes. But what he wants to do is give cover, give cover to all of those Republicans who are against it. And there are some out there. 04:34 You got the McConnells and his crowd, Mikowski. You got those folks. So what he wants to do is he wants to bring it to the floor of the Senate and then just let all the Republicans quote unquote vote for it. That way they can all say I voted for it knowing good and well that the Democrats are going to vote against it. 04:59 ...
