Description
Creative CEO is a podcast for artists and creative people who desire to become their own boss and make money from their creativity. Hosted by me, Georgie Turner, an art teacher turned full time artist. As I build my own art business from the ground up, I am taking you on the journey with me, offering real world advice on what's working as an artist on social media, how to sell art online, marketing your art work and building sustainable creative income streams. I'm doing this alongside juggling babies, country living, a family home and horses, so if you want realistic advice from a female founder who is trying to 'do it all', you've come to the right place! Expect brutal honestly, a bit of oversharing, interesting conversations with guests and a safe space for you to feel like you're not alone.

As an artist, our phones are key to running our business, but they can also be the biggest distraction. I've found a way to keep myself focussed during the times I need to use my phone and a way to stop me from being distracted when I actually need to create. This app has been a game changer and no, it is not endorsed, I just genuinely love it. In this episode I talk all about the pressures of running an art business, whether that's keeping up with your competition, the pressure to post on social media or joining in with Black Friday sales. I also talk about why it's good to sometimes put the pressure on and when it's important to take it off. This comes from my experience in November where it all got too much and I had to press pause on marketing my art business (whilst quietly putting equal pressure on myself to complete commissions!). I hope this episode helps anyone who finds themselves feeling in a state of pressure at any time in their art business. If you ever have any questions, episode ideas or thoughts on what I've discussed, please email me: georgie@georgieturnerartist.co.ukFor more useful information on running an art business, including downloadable guides, visit: https://georgieturnerartist.co.uk/collections/creative-ceo Hosted on Acast. I'm so excited to talk all about fine art prints and the journey I have taken over the last four years, from incredible FLOPS and incredible triumphs which led me to put all of my experience into a downloadable print guide. In this episode I talk about my first set of prints that did okay, the second set of prints that flopped so spectacularly that they ended up in the bin and subsequent print drops with mixed results. I discuss my experience with getting digital files made, printing at home and using a professional service. Off the back of my first curated art fair, I wanted to talk openly and honestly about my experience. Maybe it was too honest.. but I'm here to be authentic and transparent about the realities of building an art business!
