Elinor Young presents her children's book "Beautiful Feet Upon the Mountains" to a group of young children. As she answers questions and tells of God's wonders, Elinor seeks to inspire the next generation to serve the Lord in missions.
Forced to leave the field due to post-polio syndrome, Elinor Young finds ways to continue the translation of God's Word into the Kimyal language. Upon receiving the New Testament in their language, the people of Korupun rejoice with hearts transformed by the Word. But the work of God's Word is not complete in Korupun and throughout the world, as the call of the Great Commission still beckons believers to dedicate their lives to the service of Christ.
After coming back to the U.S. from Korupun for a furlough, Elinor Young realizes how much she needed rest. She spends her time planning and strategizing for the needs of Korupun, all while battling the lingering results of polio that affect her heart. When post-polio syndrome emerges in her body, Elinor is forced to leave the Kimyal people and return to the U.S. with tearful trust in the Lord.
Having learned much of the spoken Kimyal language, Elinor Young seeks to create a written language so that the Kimyal people can receive the Scriptures in their language. Clinging to the Lord in prayer to fight loneliness, depression, and the difficulties of jungle ministry, Elinor labors to give the Kimyal people the Word of God.
After her arrival in a new world, Elinor Young continues to adjust to her new life. With patience and perseverance, she finds her way to Korupun, begins to learn Indonesian and the Kimyal language, and connects with pivotal people.
Finding herself on a path to a new world, Elinor Young sets out with the love and prayers of her parents behind her and a shocking culture change ahead of her. Without looking back, she embraces the challenges of unfamiliar sights, babbling sounds, adventurous settings, and distinctly different people.
"Take an under-sized five-year-old farm girl, give her polio that not only crippled her but nearly killed her, then give her an impossible dream. In her childhood and again as a college student she will rebel against the plan. Finally, she embraces it. It led her to one of the most primitive, rugged places on earth, and a life that brawny international explorers would envy." – Elinor Young
