Hey guys! Apologies on the long radio silence. It was intentional. I had a pretty big ah-ha moment in August, realizing that since 2020 I was being driven by an impulse not in alignment with truly embodied living. Here is Part 2 of my exploration of Henri Bergson’s metaphysics and the role it can play in a return to a more grounded and qualitative science. I simulate a conversation between Bergson and the contemporary Analytic Idealist, Bernardo Kastrup as a way to highlight some of the differences and core criticisms of Idealism from the framework of Bergson’s view of reality and then touch on non-dualism. Finally, we finish with a conversation between Walter Russell and Bergson. I hope this fun exploration into these cosmologies and philosophies opens your mind up as much as mine! We can all take this in as a conversation and as a means to explore a collective reality that is fluid while also objective. As I continue to break down the fallacies of modern science and mainstream philosophy in general as grounds for dispelling any notion that AI could ever be truly sentient, I now dive deep into the metaphysics of philosopher, Henri Bergson. I want to make it clear here that I don’t believe any single philosopher or mystic has all the answers nor do I propose that I do but I do see the value in analyzing specific minds who were able to see into the reality field in exceptional ways and then contextualize them for our current reality in hopes of progressing thought forward. In this continuation of my series breaking down the false claims of AI consciousness, I take from Stephen E. Robbins breakdown of ecological psychologist, J.J. Gibson’s work around invariance laws and perception of the outside world. According to Robbins, this is a crucial starting point for understanding why ‘the hard problem of consciousness’ (that David Chalmers proposed in 1995) can never be addressed by AI engineers or the current leading cognitive scientists. My aim here is to ground this discussion within a commonsense framework of logic and practical human experience in an attempt to avoid the typical trappings of philosophical meandering or scientific dogma. In the end, I hope I can illustrate why this topic matters not only for the future of humanity’s quality of life, but for the individual expressions of consciousness we call human life. By appreciating this true gift of life, we can reinvigorate society to refocus our attention towards what really matters and bring science back to it original purpose. Here is an introduction to my new series here on the challenge to AI and the philosophical reasoning behind my claim that AI will never be sentient or ‘conscious’ and the massive implications this has for us as organic, perceptual co-creative beings in this dynamic, interconnected reality. This is a pretty massive undertaking but thanks to the brilliant minds of many before me, I am merely putting together many of the pieces from their work to deliver these Substack casts in a (hopefully) entertaining and easy to understand format. It is my hope that we can explore these ideas together and share this information with as many like-minded friends and family members so that the field can resonate this reality into more conscious actors. In this latest Substack cast, I summarize a fantastic bit of investigative reporting by Jasun Horsley in relation to “Epstein, the Edge Foundation, MIT Media Lab, TED Talks & the Biology Wizards Rewriting Global Culture”. Crazy to think this article came out over 5 years ago and is now more relevant than ever. As the Trump regime aims to obfuscate details around the ‘Epstein list’, those who have been following this for years already know the damage has been done. I believe we are now witnessing the house of cards in complete collapse as millions of awakened individuals are abandoning allopathic medicine, avoiding fast food chains and big box stores, turning away from mainstream media, magazines, newspapers and any belief in ‘climate change’ or the natural inclination of ‘trans children’ to bend their gender. Here I follow the complicit arrangements made between notable figures in the world of science and Epstein, and how this moral quagmire serves as just one example of the rampant corruption within a scientific cult driven by power instead of truth and beauty. We can do better and we are! The true scientific revolution is upon us and it won’t be taking place in the ‘hallowed halls’ of our famed academic institutions or drab government buildings, but instead at co-op gatherings at farms and within private groups on decentralized platforms like Qortal. A science that isn’t top-down or constricted to elite circles but truly open-source and decentralized.
