Hey there Cubies! To start off the New Year we are tackling our backlog in a major way. We are looking to start a gaming book club and this got us really into some more retro/catch up gaming. Playing games like Last Guardian, Zone Of Enders, Fields Of Mistria, Metal Gear Solid and Fallout 4. But in the end we wanted to pick a game that we both can start now together for the month of January and that is Ico! Hey there Cubies! This week we are hitting the indie RPG category hard. Chris started Kingdoms Of The Dump and is really enjoying it so far. Just a quick update there but Christian is going to jump into that one too. But for now Christian is diving into Necrosoft's Demonschool. This game is a sleeper hit honestly. It takes tactic gameplay and changes it into something so interesting all wrapped up in an amazing story! Its great to see this series still going strong and with the remakes coming out its easier than ever to jump into this amazing franchise. And finally Christian has gotten through Final Fantasy 8. We jump off with a Final Fantasy update with Chris as he makes his way through the first 5. He just completed Final Fantasy 4 and its a fun lil conversation. Then we chat about To Be Hero X, with My Hero Academia coming to a close Christian hunts for a new show and Hero X is a great surprise. The pace is perfect and the weapon combinations are really well done. This is a great game to check out right now. Then some diving into classic Final Fantasy titles. A little bit of RomHack talks. Hey there Cubies! We have some good old updates on games like Borderlands, Yotei and Hades 2. Then bringing back an older game that just made its way to Game Pass with Hogwarts Legacy. Its pretty fun from a gameplay point of view. It expands the Hogwarts world and allows you to explore freely. It is a little slow to start but more enjoyable than expected from a license game. Checking out The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy, or some good old Ratchet & Clank. And since Tactics just out Christian dove into some more good old ROM hacks for Final Fantasy Tactics. Theres a classic one that is pretty insane. It answers the question of what would happen if Ramza, Cloud, Snake, Link and Dante were all in the same game. Its amazing!
