Today’s episode is all about style goal setting and why being intentional with your wardrobe can completely change how you feel when you get dressed.
This is a special sneak peek into one of the masterclasses I ran inside The Colour Collective, and it’s designed to help you get really clear on what you want from your wardrobe in 2026 — not just what you want it to look like, but how you want it to feel.
Because style goals are just like any other goals… if you don’t know where you’re heading, you’ll keep buying random pieces and still feel like you have nothing to wear.
In this episode, I’ll walk you through practical questions and steps to help you define your personal style direction, understand what’s working (and what isn’t), and create a wardrobe that supports your lifestyle and your confidence.
In This Episode, I Cover:
Why style goals matter just as much as health or career goals
How to figure out what you actually want your wardrobe to do for you
The difference between shopping for clothes and building a wardrobe
How to identify what’s currently working in your outfits
The key questions to ask yourself before buying anything new
How to choose a “style direction” for the year ahead
How to make your wardrobe feel more intentional (without spending a fortune)
Questions Mentioned in the Episode:
Here are a few of the questions I share to help you set your style goals:
How do I want to feel in my clothes this year?
What do I want to be known for style-wise?
What outfits do I feel my best in — and why?
What am I constantly reaching for?
What do I avoid wearing, even though I own it?
What’s missing from my wardrobe that would make getting dressed easier?
Mentioned / Resources:
✨ This episode is inspired by a masterclass inside The Colour Collective — my membership where I help women learn how to actually wear their colour palette and build wardrobes that feel effortless.

Not everything you buy ends up being a good purchase, which makes the ones you actually use and reach for worth talking about. This episode is a relaxed chat about the things I’ve genuinely loved buying for 2025 so far — not trends for the sake of it, and definitely not impulse buys that end up forgotten, but pieces and finds that feel practical, considered, and worth the investment.
I share what I’ve been reaching for on repeat, why these purchases made sense for my lifestyle, and what made them good additions rather than just “another thing”. If you enjoy honest reflections on what’s actually useful (and what holds up over time), you’ll enjoy this one.
It’s a real, easy conversation — the kind you’d have with a friend when you’re talking about what you’re glad you bought and what you’d happily buy again.

Christmas colours aren’t just red and green — and they definitely don’t look the same on everyone.
In this episode of Life in Colour, I’m breaking down the different variations of Christmas colours, from reds and greens to metallics, and explaining why some versions feel festive and flattering… while others just don’t feel right at all.
We chat about:
The different types of reds (and why one person glows in crimson while another looks better in a softer or deeper shade)
How greens can swing warm, cool, light or deep — and why that matters
Why metallics aren’t one-size-fits-all (gold, silver, champagne, pewter and more)
How to choose festive colours that work with your seasonal palette, not against it
If you’ve ever put on a “Christmas outfit” and felt like something was off — even though the colour should work — this episode will help you understand why.
It’s about keeping the festive feel, without forcing colours that don’t suit you.

In this deeply personal episode, I take you behind the scenes of how Loving Colour came to life — a journey that began when I lost my sense of style as a new stay-at-home mum. I share the moment I realised I wanted to do something for myself again, fuelled by a lifelong love of fashion. From starting with a humble blog and Instagram page, to launching my online clothing store I Choose Me, and eventually designing my own slow fashion label, I open up about the excitement, the trials, and the heartbreak that came with it all. You’ll hear the tough decision I made to close that chapter — the tears, the lessons, and the surprising clarity that followed — and how it all led to the creation of Loving Colour. This is a story about passion, resilience, and finding your way back to what lights you up.

From all the different shades of burgundy to the rise of knit pants, there’s a lot to take in right now. Some pieces feel exciting, others a little puzzling — and I’m breaking it down to help you figure out what might work for you.

Whether you’re planning a shopping trip or just want to stay in the loop, this episode is a fun look at what’s out there right now — with some helpful tips to shop with more clarity and confidence.

It’s the halfway point of the year—can you believe it? If you started 2025 saying, “This is the year I’ll finally sort my style out” or “I’m going to find my colours and feel confident in what I wear,” now is the perfect time to pause and reflect.
In this episode, I guide you through a gentle but honest mid-year check-in. It’s not about guilt or should-haves—it’s about tuning into how you're really feeling about your style, your wardrobe, and your confidence.
You’ll hear reflective questions like:
Do you feel more like yourself in your clothes now than you did in January?
Are you still defaulting to black because colour feels too hard?
Is your wardrobe supporting your lifestyle—or stressing you out?
And we’ll chat through practical, doable steps you can take in the second half of the year to move closer to your goals:
How to make small shifts without starting from scratch
The difference it makes to know your colour palette
Why now is a great time to refresh, reset, and reframe how you see your style
Wherever you're at—whether you’re feeling stuck, inspired, or somewhere in between—this episode is for you.

In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on colour analysis — what it is, how it actually works, and why it’s so much more than just holding up a few colour swatches.
I’ll walk you through the full process I use with my clients, from the first impressions to the technical details I’m looking for when I figure out someone’s season. We’ll get into things like undertones, depth, clarity, temperature — all the nerdy (but fascinating!) parts of how colours interact with our natural features.
I’m also sharing some of the common mistakes people make when trying to guess their own colours, and why professional analysis can make such a huge difference.
If you’ve ever wondered how colour analysis actually works behind the scenes — and why it's about so much more than just “what looks nice” — this episode will give you a whole new appreciation for the power of finding your best colours.

In this episode of Life in Colour, I'm joined by the fabulous Kirsten Smith — wife, mum, midlife cheerleader, and founder of Bettyquette, a skincare brand born from resilience, honesty, and a whole lot of heart.
Kirsten and I chat about everything from business beginnings and travel tales to juggling motherhood and prioritising health — and how, through a season of adversity and illness, the idea for Bettyquette was born.
We talk about what it means to age with grace and grit, the surprising upsides of midlife, and why a good serum and a splash of champagne can go a long way.
Kirsten is a former early childhood teacher turned content creator and accidental founder of the award-winning skincare brand, Bettyquette. Based in Brisbane, Australia, she has spent the past decade sharing authentic, relatable life and style inspiration with her online community. Kirsten’s life took an unexpected turn when, at the age of 42, she began losing her eyesight and was diagnosed with a rare condition known as Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH). The daily cocktail of medication she relied on to save her eyesight left her skin dry, dull, and dehydrated—yet nothing on the market provided the deep hydration her skin so desperately needed. Determined to find a solution, she created her own: a hydrating face oil. That one product became the foundation of Bettyquette, a natural skincare brand dedicated to helping women achieve healthy, glowing skin with products that truly work.

There’s a lot hitting the shelves right now—rich autumn colours, layered textures, and accessories that look great… but don’t always feel great when you try them on. In this episode, I’m talking through what you’ll actually see in stores this season and how to make it work for you—without the overwhelm.
I’ll walk you through these colours, cuts, and must-have pieces, and more importantly, how to figure out which versions of those colours will suit your season. Because olive, rust, burgundy—they’re not one-size-fits-all. And the right shade makes all the difference.
So if you’ve ever stood in a change room thinking, “Why doesn’t this look right on me?”, this one will help you shop with more confidence, more clarity—and way less guesswork.
