Human Curated / AI CreatedWe’re back with a haunting tale for the festive season. A huge department store, two career criminals and a night time security guard. What could possibly go wrong at this most wonderful time of the year?
Human Curated/AI CreatedBack once again with a BELTER of an episode. Growing up in the highlands of Scotland, I was well used to staying the night in the odd Bothy now and again. Hillwalking was just a part of childhood, but I’m VERY glad to say my strolls into the great outdoors never turned up anything like this! The Luibeilt Bothy has a fearsome history and one that resonates quite strongly as it’s a relatively recent ghost story. Hillwalkers, beware!
Human Curated / AI CreatedEP07 - The Gorbals VampireBeing from the west coast, I’m well aware of blood sucking parasites. However, this time the subject might be a very real creature of the night!Young children going missing, police getting involved… it could be our very own Scottish Xfiles.Or might just be a case of the population being influenced by comics?
EP06 - The Legend of Sawney BeanHuman Curated / AI CreatedThe legend of Sawney Bean is one of Scotland’s most gruesome tales. Cannibals, murder, incest it really does cover all the bloody high points of history.Join us for a deep dive into the horror show that was the Sawney Bean Clan.
Human Curated / AI CreatedEpisode 6 takes us to the west coast of Scotland where in the 17th century the area of Pollock was rocked to the core by the accusation of witchcraft!Ghosts, witches, subjugation of women, it’s got it all. A dark period in Scotland’s history, join us to find out about Sir George Maxwell and the mute servant girl that is miraculously cured.
EP05 - Boleskine House

EP05 - Boleskine House

2024-11-0224:551

Human Curated / AI CreatedWell, this story has it all. Occult happenings, spells, haunted house, remote location, rock stars! What’s not to like?Following on from the last episode about Loch Ness, Boleskine house has been the setting to many, many suspicious events over the years. Previously owned by Aleister Crowley and Jimmy Page, the property itself has burned down at least twice that I know of. Never quite had the courage to visit it myself, but some of my friends did. And I clearly remember them telling me about a herd of goats that suddenly appeared out of the darkness one night while they were skulking round the grounds. The goats didn’t make any noise but there was a larger male goat that stood in the centre of the others and stared at my group of friends until they all got the spooks and decided to leg it out of there.
Human Curated / AI Created It’s loch not lock, I know that, you know that, AI doesn’t know that! Limitations of the pronunciation aside, this episode takes on the subject of Scotland’s most famous watery dwelling monster. Growing up in Inverness, a cycle ride along to the Dores Inn on the banks of the loch was a pretty regular trip. I’ve even met the full time monster hunter!
I’ve stayed in and around Glencoe a couple of times and driven through it on that awfully bleak and windy road several times more. You have to admit it, there’s a real atmosphere about the place. Even on a bright, sunny day the air feels odd. Glencoe was the site of one of the worst periods of betrayal in Scottish history and it’s no wonder that even today the glen is home to more than a few scary stories.
EP02 - Cawdor Castle

EP02 - Cawdor Castle

2024-11-0111:52

Human Curated / AI Created Episode 2 is a trip back to my childhood. Many a happy weekend trip from Inverness was spent at Cawdor Castle. The castle itself is really a bit special, but I particularly loved the wooden play fort built in the grounds; complete with its own little secret tunnel. This time we point our AI friends at the ghostly happenings within the walls of the castle itself!
Human created / AI generated For our first episode we go right to the heart of Edinburgh. Scotland’s capital city is home to many spooky happenings, but none more so than the famous, or should that be infamous, Black Mausoleum. Home to the final resting place of George MacKenzie, better known by his rather troubling nickname - Bluidy Mackenzie!
