I like having skins because they make my weapons look better during matches. Started with cheap ones and slowly got nicer skins over time. Learning about wear conditions at https://dmarket.com/cs2-wiki/ helped me understand why prices vary so much. Factory new looks cleanest but costs more while field tested is cheaper and still decent. I focus on getting skins for guns I use most like AK and AWP
