Our Community Discord Server: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynTIt feels like there is a new Warhammer codex every week. Today's episode is covering Jonny's #1 faction: Chaos Knights. This army is all about letting you live out your boyish dreams of commanding big stompy infernal robots. The Chaos Knights would be practically identical to their cousins, the Imperial Knights, if not for the spikes and demonic imagery. Codex Chaos Knights opens players to various methods of destruction, from the animalistic War Dog-focused Houndpack Lance to the towering Lords of Dread detachment- there is something for all players, whether Damned, Iconoclast, or Hunter. This episode may be our crunchiest yet, as Jonny lends Joshy his insights to this faction. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT Open a new tome and behold! The last of the "Year of Chaos" celebration - the final Astartes Chaos Cult faction is here, and we are reviewing it. Jonny helms this arcane expedition, with Joshy beside, taking notes. The Thousand Sons are Dust. Quite literally - in the time of the Horus Heresy, Ahriman would conduct a ritual to save the legion from mutation, only to turn almost all of them into animated suits of armour, shepherded by the many sorcerers spared. This is the legion of Magnus the Red, the most psychically gifted of all the primarchs, so you know that means this legion has tricks up their clanky sleeves. With a playstyle emphasising smaller units of marines firing infernal bolts of armour-piercing might, and sorcerers casting deadly spells, the Thousand Sons control the battlefield like nobody else. This codex offers five ways to play this force, from braying mutant skirmishers to the literal fate-daemons of the immaterium, the Chaos God Tzeentch has you covered. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT*Cough, Death Guard time, Cough*Next up in this Year of Chaos is our Trust the Process reaction and review for the Warhammer 40K 10th Edition Codex: Death Guard. These smelliest of Astartes are the sons of Mortarion and Nurgle's plague-bringers. The Death Guard are an unmovable wall—perhaps the sturdiest of forces you could bring to the Warhammer tabletop. Their playstyle combines toughness with a slew of aura abilities designed to weaken their foes, and the codex offers many ways to defeat their enfeebled opposition.Joshy, Jonny, and friend of the channel Zac sit down for a long while to talk about the faction’s models, their army rule, and their numerous detachments—such as the Virulent and Shamblerot Vectoriums—and try really hard to summarise the Crusade narrative rules. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT It's Kill, Maim, Burn! time here at the TTP Field Manual. Kicking off the first in a slew of codex reviews is the second-ever codex for the well-mannered World Eaters. Fresh out of the end of 9th Edition, the World Eaters Index focused on mad-rush charges into your opponent's closest war dollies. Now, with the arrival of a ripped and roaring codex, World Eaters offer many ways to beget blood and beget skulls for ol' Khorne. Joshy and Jonny sit down for a while and talk about the models available to the faction, including the new Goremongers Kill Team. We discuss Combat Patrol, the army rule (Khorne's Yahtzee), and the numerous detachments, ranging from the frothing Warband to the sleek Goretrack. The narrative component to 40k, 'Crusade' gets a mention, and we break down how we would put together a World Eaters list, as well as how we would paint them. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT It's a Joshy and Jonny after-hours episode. In this rather relaxed episode, we're talking about the models, factions, and games that have our attention across Warhammer and beyond. From the next additions to armies we already collect, to ideas for systems we've barely touched, it's a whirlwind of wishlists, what-ifs, and hobby confessionals. We talk 40k, Age of Sigmar, and Horus Heresy. We also begin to dip our toes into Malifaux, Idols of Torment, Infinity, and Trench Crusade. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT –*SPOILERS FOR THE NOVEL: Fulgrim (Graham McNeill, 2007) With a heavy heart, do Joshy and Jonny review and discuss the fifth instalment in the hefty saga of the Horus Heresy, Fulgrim. This novel focuses on the titular character, primarch of the 3rd Legion, the Emperor's Children, and their descent into the perverse Chaos corruption of blissful hedonism, away from the light of their namesake. Discord: https://discord.gg/A7aPwNNynT –In this episode, Joshy takes you deep into the lore of Gabriel Seth—the brutal, unrelenting Chapter Master of the Flesh Tearers. Known for his blood-soaked reputation, Seth is a force of nature who dragged his dying Chapter back from the brink through sheer will, fury, and a whole lot of chainblade diplomacy. From navigating the tangled politics of the Imperium to carving through Tyranids and Chaos alike, Seth’s story is one of rage barely held in check—and maybe, just maybe, a shot at redemption. Jonny, a technician, spends his downtime conquering more video games than Joshy can keep track of.–NOTES: Gabriel Seth, the chapter master of the Flesh Tearers, is a total badass, leading his chapter with a fierce determination and a penchant for violence. The Flesh Tearers have a notorious reputation for their bloodthirstiness, often leading to chaotic battles where they sometimes attack Imperial forces instead of enemies. Seth's leadership style is all about embracing the chaos of war while trying to maintain some semblance of honour for his chapter, which is a delicate balancing act. During the Third War for Armageddon, the Flesh Tearers were so savage that even Orks labelled them as 'Eaters of the Dead,' which says a lot about their ferocity. Seth has had to deal with a lot of political drama within the Blood Angels, including being labelled a traitor, which makes his journey super interesting. Despite all the chaos, Gabriel Seth's character showcases a complex blend of rage and control, making him a fascinating figure in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
Joshy and Jonny plunge headfirst into the wild lore of the Last Chancers—the Imperial Guard’s very own Suicide Squad. These aren’t your average grunts; they’re convicted criminals from amongst the Guard’s own, offered one final shot at redemption... by being thrown into the deadliest missions imaginable. Led by the charismatic (and slightly unhinged) Colonel Schaeffer—a man who cheats death like it’s a hobby—this ragtag unit faces everything from Tyranids to Orks, often with nothing but bad attitudes and big explosions. Join us as we unpack the crusades of this doomed crew. This isn’t just lore; it’s a mad dash through one of Warhammer’s most chaotic corners.– TTP Field Manual is brought to you by Joshy and Jonny, best friends and gaming enthusiasts from their local group, Trust the Process Hobbies.
