The St. Louis Blues and Springfield Thunderbirds announced on Monday that AHL head coach Steve Konowalchuk has been relieved of his coaching duties and Steve Ott would leave the Blues' bench and coach the Thunderbirds for the remainder of the season. The St. Louis Blues beat one of the hottest teams in the league Tuesday night, as Joel Hofer earned his fourth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Nick Bjugstad returned to the lineup and scored the game-winning goal in the second period.
