SEEDS.

SEEDS.

2025-12-0807:20

Welcome to Episode ONE straight from the PEEL headquarters: where we start with the most basic principle of all when it comes to farming … NOTHING MATTERS WITHOUT A SEED. Seeds are potential.Seeds are sovereignty. And seeds, right now, are in danger. What most people don’t know?We have lost 94% of global seed diversity in the last century.Ninety. Four. Percent.Let that sit in your body for a second. Most of what used to be grown — thousands of varieties adapted to local soil, climate, and culture — is gone. Replaced by uniform varieties bred for yield, shelf-life, and control.Because here’s the truth that makes my whole system heat up:If you control the seeds, you control the food. And if you control the food… you control the people.Corporate patents, terminator seeds, regulations on “approved varieties,” and monoculture have all pushed us into a fragile, centralized system where diversity — the thing nature relies on most — is disappearing. This is why seed saving matters. This is why seed starting matters. And this is why local food systems like PEEL exist.Seed starting = remembering our autonomyWhether it’s a backyard tray or a greenhouse table, starting seeds is the opposite of giving your power away. It’s slow but immediate. Tiny but massive. And it teaches your nervous system something real:You can create your own abundance. If you’re watching my soursop and moringa video, here’s why these two feel so important:🌱 Soursop (Graviola) — What it gives youSoursop seeds become a tree packed with gifts:* Anti-inflammatory support* Antioxidant-rich leaves traditionally used in teas, potentially anti-cancerous! * A nutrient-dense fruit known for vitamin C, fiber, and minerals* A plant that feels ancient, protective, and wildly generous when it grows🌱 Moringa — The “Miracle Tree” for a reasonMoringa grows FAST and grows almost anywhere. If you want to feel like a magician, plant moringa. Its benefits are unreal:* High in magnesium, calcium, and iron* Supports blood sugar stability* Protein-rich leaves (yes — actual plant protein)* Anti-inflammatory + immune support* A regenerative, drought-tolerant tree that feeds people and rebuilds soilIt is one of the most nutrient-dense plants on the planet. And it starts as a little, unassuming seed. Why this ties back to PEELWe tend to think the food system is too big to change. But honestly? It starts in places like this — your hands, your soil, your seeds.Saving seeds, starting seeds, and sharing seeds is how we rebuild resilience from the ground up. It’s the most SPRAY FREE, HAPPY SOIL act there is.It’s what makes a food system local again. It’s what corporations can’t patent once they’re in your jar. It’s what growers on PEEL already know:Abundance exists — it’s just being gatekept.Seed work breaks the gates. If you do one thing this winter season … Save one seed.Save two seeds.Trade some seeds with a neighbor.Add and sell your seeds onto the PEEL platform! These tiny acts are how we pull autonomy back into our bodies and our food — one little miracle at a time.www.joinpeel.comSUPPORT LOCAL FARMERS ALL YEAR LONG & BECOME A GROWER YOURSELF!
