Description
We invite you to immerse yourself in Audio First, a new podcast of fiction treated with cinematic sound design that is part experiment, part spin-off. Audio First is a green offshoot of the venerable creative writing anthology UC First, published annually by the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Canberra. The audio edition aims to bring written works into a new medium: a collaboration between writers and students accomplished in sound design. The resulting meld of words and layered sound, which UCFM is very pleased to bring you, is... something else.

The inaugural episode of Audio First is comprised of five works, short stories and poetry: Want/Need written and voiced by Georgia Biggs; Journey written and voiced by KL Morris; I Drive Cars Better Than My Own Body written and voiced by Leon Horscroft; The Woods written and voiced by Caitlyn Gibbs; Phycophyta written by Leon Horscroft, voiced by Leon Horscroft and Ryan Pritchard. Sound Design for each of the five works and the episode overall is by Jack Morton.
