In episode 49 of the Buckleheads Podcast, we recap how the Ouray 100 went for the 5 Kansas runners that attempted.Jonathan, Blaine, Rob, Brian and Andrea. The race did not go as well had hoped, If this weekend wasn't an example to never be afraid step up to the plate and take a swing at something big that you're not guaranteed to complete, I'm not sure what is.Unfortunately, the Ouray 100 had all of our numbers this weekend...for now.But the way that Kansas showed up, everyone should proud of their performances, our presence was felt, and all of the crew, pacers, family, friends...it was the best. To everyone who noticed the shirt and said they were listeners, Thank you! It means the world.WE will be back and this is not our last swing at getting a Kansas finisher across those cones.Run Happy. Train Hard. We'll See You Out There. `
You've heard us bring it up for months, we've have the RD Charles Johnston on the podcast, the training is done, the race is finally here. The Ouray 100 starts this Friday. There has never been a Kansas finisher, and this year, 5 runners from the Sunflower state will take a swing at one of the most difficult 100 milers out there.Brian, Blaine, Rob, Jonathan and Andrea will all attempt to accomplish this monster of a race.Devin will be out there pacing, Marc will be out there crewing as well as many others.Episode 48 will be a conversation we had with everyone running Ouray. We discuss their training approach, strategy, nutrition, all the things. We thought it'd be fun to discuss before the race without the reflection on how everything unfolds, but they are all tough, they've put in the work, and we know they can conquer it!We'll post a tracking link as soon as we get it! Comment and cheer everyone on!Run Happy. Train Hard. We'll See You Out There.
