So be sure to dig into this episode that proves just how every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end. Have you also been feeling that pull of resistance? In this week’s episode, I continue our series on the many faces of resistance. Join me as I discuss how knowledge itself becomes a powerful form of resistance, and why the courage to learn, unlearn, and evolve is one of the bravest acts we can choose. In addition to sharing another famous face of resistance from the Harlem Renaissance, jazz great Duke Ellington, I’ll also share my personal journey of how knowledge has been a type of resistance in my own life - whether because I challenged myself or was challenged by others to be open to receiving it. Lastly, we’ll unpack how knowledge can be a powerful act of resistance in your own life as you gain understanding about your brain, your values, your definition of success, and what you need to get you there. This knowledge empowers you to resist those outside forces trying to tell you who you are. Ready to have the power of self-knowledge at full force in your life? In this week’s episode, I explore how love and relationships can be one of the most powerful forms of resistance. For many of us, relationships can be both a foundation for growth and one of the things we are most afraid of. However, they’re often the very thing that helps us withstand outside pressure, or resist. Join me as I discuss how using love as a verb, especially in a world that often profits from division can be the greatest act of resistance of all. If this episode has you curious to explore further, wanting to resist in your own way, or desiring to build stronger relationships in your own life, I’d love to support you! All month long, I’m offering my signature free strategy session plus a 10% credit toward any coaching offer you choose if you book in February. A free strategy session is the perfect space for you to see what personalized support feels like. It’s my February kickoff episode! Join me as I begin a month-long series exploring resistance as both a cultural force and a deeply personal act of empowerment for us all. From the mood-shifting sunlight in a Chicago winter to the brilliance of the Harlem Renaissance, I share how creativity, joy, and self-expression have always been powerful forms of resistance. You’ll learn why developing your ability to focus on areas in your life in which you have direct impact and control is a transformative mindset shift, especially for ADHD, autistic, and multi‑passionate minds. I also unpack the difference between self-reflection and actionable growth (inspired by one of my own favorite podcasts!), and why showing up for yourself is one of the most radical choices you can make. This episode will embolden you to challenge old narratives, reclaim your energy, and embrace resistance at its most personal level.Ready to turn the inspiration this episode creates into real momentum? In today’s episode, I share how I unexpectedly (and a little unwillingly) chose my intention for 2026. Or rather, how it chose me. From being proud of the intention I originally set and ready to put it in motion, to an intimate conversation that changed everything, all the way to the split-second decision to throw my intention out into the universe, this is the story you need whether you have already set an intention for the year or are still trying to decide. 🎉Register for my FREE Masterclass: The Communication Toolkit for adults with autism, ADHD, or who struggle to feel understood in the workplace and understand the real reason why you’re both misunderstanding and being misunderstood in the workplace. In this first episode of 2026, I invite you into a few of my cozy New Year’s Day traditions: pajamas, family, homemade soups, and a lively Dungeons & Dragons session, before I dive into the heart of today’s conversation: setting your intention for the year ahead. As the “Twixtmas” (my new favorite word!) haze lifts and life begins to reset, I break down why resolutions often fail and how choosing an intention or “word of the year” creates a more compassionate, flexible, and growth‑centered foundation. I also share the key differences between resolutions and intentions, why intentions support true thriving, and how to choose an intention that aligns with who you’re becoming. You’ll learn about my own journey with intention-setting, which was born at the start of 2021 from a need to restore balance in my life in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic of 2020. It’s something I now do at the beginning of each year, with my 2025 intention of “Growth” leading to such an unexpected shift that I hadn’t even imagined a year ago. At the end, you’ll even find out what my intention for 2026 is, and I promise it’s a doozy! This intention gives me just the right mix of excitement and discomfort that I know will support continued growth in my personal and professional life - which is exactly what I want for you. Whether you’re still reflecting on 2025 or ready to step boldly into the new year, this episode will help you ground your energy, focus your mindset, and start 2026 with purpose. In this final episode of 2026, I’m inviting you into a cozy year-end reflection that starts with three lasagnas, family traditions, and a whole lot of gratitude. As Christmas passes, Hanukkah wraps, and the winter solstice settles in, I’m sharing the stories, celebrations, and even a little Bears playoff excitement that shaped this week. I also reflect on why I chose to keep releasing episodes through the holidays this year and how that decision aligns with my commitment to thriving, not just surviving. Together, we’ll walk through three powerful reflection questions that are aligned with our recent conversations about Thriving. These three questions are designed to help you notice your growth, honor your proudest moments, and step into 2026 with clarity and intention. This episode is both a summary of and reminder that thriving is about progress, presence, and paying attention to who you are becoming. I also can’t wait to share what’s coming in January, but for now, let’s close out this year with purpose, gratitude, and a whole lot of heart. In this episode, we continue in our “Thrive” series as we break down why slow, steady progress is not just okay. It's powerful. Using the childhood classic story of The Tortoise & the Hare along with real-world lessons learned from marathon running, we talk about moving through life at your own pace, and not at the pace of those around you. You’ll hear why small steps count, how to avoid burnout, and what to do when you hit “the wall.” Think of this episode as a reminder that your brain, your path, and your timing are valid. Slow steps are still strong wins, especially for neurodivergent thinkers building a life that actually fits them.Thinking about how this could work in your life? In this deeply personal episode, I welcome my daughter Jenna as my very special guest to share her emotional journey of growing up misdiagnosed and misunderstood. From early struggles in school to years of confusion and frustration, her story sheds light on the hidden challenges many neurodivergent individuals face - especially generations of women who were misdiagnosed due to a false narrative that only boys had ADHD. It wasn’t until the beginning of this year that Jenna received her ADHD diagnosis which has brought clarity, validation, and a new sense of self. Together, we explore how being “finally seen” has transformed Jenna’s confidence, relationships, and daily life. In this episode, I explore the growing curiosity around the rise in ADHD diagnoses, especially among adults and women. Using the powerful metaphor of Galileo’s stars, I reframe the conversation: it’s not that ADHD is suddenly more common; it’s that we’ve finally developed the tools, language, and awareness to recognize it. From shifts in pediatric care and education to the impact of social media and self-discovery, I unpack why so many are now finding clarity and connection through diagnosis. I also share personal insights from my work as a coach and educator, highlighting the relief and empowerment that come from understanding how differently wired brains truly work. Are you an adult newly diagnosed with ADHD or autism? On today’s episode, I sit with Alefiyah Lindo, a speaker, coach, and energy intuitive who helps people alchemize fear into purpose using the tools of consciousness, embodiment, and intuitive awareness. Alefiyah reframes fear not as a barrier, but as a powerful guide toward alignment and truth. Through her FEEL framework—Face, Embrace, Extract, and Leap—she shares how fear can illuminate what matters most and spark meaningful action. Whether you're in the midst of a mid-career crisis or simply craving clarity, this conversation offers tools to decode fear’s message and move forward with intention. Tune in to explore how emotional energy can become your compass, not your cage.Learn more about Alefiyah on her website: https://www.alefiyahlindo.com/Stuck in a mid-career crisis, feeling overwhelmed, or as if your life is out of balance?
