“Welcome to a new era. My viewpoints, my perspective, my voice. I realized I never really gave myself the opportunity to authentically articulate my own viewpoints. It’s mainly been me analyzing someone else’s story, so things are about to get very interesting. Yes, I love to talk mess, but most of my opinions are non-biased. Sometimes I’m just a fanboy, but most of the time, what I express will be valid. Welcome to the @nouglychickspod. As misogynistic as this title may sound, it’s the total opposite. @nouglychickspod represents the voice of the beautiful-spirited people. If you have hatred o

Fresh off of New York Fashion Week, I got to sit down with a true staple in fashion culture — designer and entrepreneur Brandon Blackwood. Raised in Brooklyn in a Caribbean household, Brandon’s upbringing and multicultural roots shaped his creative lens and fueled the drive to build something lasting in one of the toughest industries in the world. In this episode, we dive into his early journey, the leap of faith that launched his namesake brand, and the lessons he’s learned over the past 10 years in business. Brandon opens up about what it takes to maintain longevity in fashion, the logistics of running a global brand, and how cultural influences continue to inspire his designs. We also highlight his celebrity collaborations, with his designs embraced by icons like Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, and how those moments validated years of dedication and hard work. Beyond the runway and business, Brandon shares his life outside of fashion, the inspirations that keep him grounded, and the values that make him insanely humble despite his global success. This episode is a deep dive into resilience, creativity, culture, and humility from one of fashion’s most inspiring voices.
Welcome to Episode 6 of Nouglychickspodcast! This week, I sit down with Frank Cooke — sneaker designer, creative director, and cultural storyteller — to talk about his influential run with Jordan Brand and Nike, and the mark he’s left on sneaker culture. Starting on Jordan Brand’s exclusive NRG team, Frank helped bring to life some of the most talked-about releases in recent history, including the Nigel Sylvester Air Jordan 1, “Not For Resale” AJ1, Travis Scott collaborations, and reimagined retro classics. His work was never just about shoes — it was about crafting stories that connected deeply with the culture. After leaving Jordan in 2018, Frank continued to push boundaries as a creative force, and in this episode we dive into his latest release, the Nike GT Future “Fire,” along with his personal milestone of 3 years of sobriety. Oh, and for the record — Frank pulled up rocking a clean Rolex during filming, which earned him even more brownie points. Frank is such a cool guy.
Nouglychickspodcast is back!In this episode, I open up about my hiatus, the rebrand, and the new direction of the podcast. It’s still cool, creative, and relatable—but now cleaner, more polished, and rooted in deeper purpose.I also had the honor of sitting down with Lysa Cooper—legendary stylist, creative visionary, and true icon in the world of fashion. With a résumé that includes styling for Rihanna, Beyoncé, LL Cool J, Eve, and P!nk, Lysa has been instrumental in shaping the look and feel of pop culture for over three decades. From groundbreaking music videos to unforgettable magazine covers and red carpet moments, her unapologetic style and fearless point of view have left a lasting imprint on the industry. We get into her origin story, her days navigating New York’s electric nightlife scene, her role in artist branding, and what it really means to stay authentic in an ever-changing industry. But beyond the moodboards and the iconic looks—Lysa is deeply knowledgeable, wise, and real. And yes… she’s officially my new homegirl. We even wrapped the convo over bomb Japanese food and sake.
In this episode, I’m reflecting on my journey—being sober, learning, and growing as I navigate 27. I talk about leveling up my brand, getting deeper into the gym grind, and why NYC retail culture is straight-up rude and nasty. Plus, I share my experience at my first New York Rangers game and give my thoughts on Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s new album, along with FKA Twigs’ latest drop. You already know it’s unfiltered and all real.
In this episode, I open up about the whirlwind of emotions I’ve been feeling as my 27th birthday approaches. Turning another year older has me reflecting on my personal growth and my hopes for the year ahead. One of the biggest moments of my journey so far has been coming out as gay to my dad. It wasn’t easy for him to process, and it came with its challenges, but I’m proud to be standing in my truth and living authentically. Beyond the personal, I’m also celebrating a huge milestone—my podcast is officially charting on Apple Podcasts! The support and love from listeners have me feeling so happy and grateful.
On a lighter note, I share my thoughts on Lil Baby’s new album, WHAM, which has been on heavy rotation for me—it’s definitely delivering the vibes I needed. At the same time, I reflect on the devastating LA wildfires and the lives affected, reminding us all how important it is to support those in need. This episode is a mix of self-reflection, celebration, and raw honesty. Tune in to hear it all
Welcome to episode 2, This isn't just a rant-it's a real conversation about accountability, navigating big-city energy, and staying informed about cultural and industry shifts. It took me awhile to finally take a look within myself, and had a Issa Rae rap in the mirror self talk with myself. " Like G get it together" On the positive note I get to fight another day. To summarize this episode I would say accountability is the main point of action. From traveling to Los Angeles for two weeks, self reflection, and a couple fall outs. I feel stronger than ever with better perspectives. Whether you love or hate the topics that I story tell, these are my opinions not statements. I still hate Los Angeles, that's something that will never change, unless I live like a Kardashian.
