Join us as explore lessons from the Ark of God. The Ark of the Covenant, detailed in Exodus 25, was a gold-covered acacia wood chest containing the stone tablets of the Law, serving as the central, holiest object in the Tabernacle. Its gold lid, the Mercy Seat, flanked by two cherubim, was the precise location where God promised to commune with and deliver instructions to Moses.

Text: Proverbs 27Join us for a powerful exploration of the wisdom encapsulated in the simple truth "Don't leave where God has placed you." This message delves into the spiritual, physical, and emotional concept of finding, maintaining, and diligently working within the boundaries and responsibilities God has set for us. When we stray—whether it's from our commitments, our calling, or our community—we often invite unnecessary friction, vulnerability, and loss of focus.
The King of Sodom offered Abram all the recovered goods and people after the battle, requesting only that the persons be returned, but Abram refused this generous offer. Knowing that the King of Sodom was wicked and would claim he had made Abram rich, Abram swore an oath to God that he would take nothing from the king, "from a thread even to a shoelatchet." This decisive action ensured that Abram's great wealth and victory were clearly seen as blessings from God Most High, the possessor of heaven and earth.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN
Join us for a journey to Shiloh, the site of the ancient Hebrew Tabernacle, for a deep dive into the powerful message found in Jeremiah Chapter 7. This message warns against relying on the mere existence of a sacred structure for security, using the historical downfall of Shiloh as a potent example. Jeremiah calls for genuine repentance, justice, and an end to oppression, teaching that God demands a change of heart and action over empty ritual. In Romans 16:17, Paul urges us to mark and avoid those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to sound doctrine, reminding us that unity must be grounded in truth. As followers of Christ, we must stay alert, discerning, and devoted to protecting the purity of the gospel message. Join us and we learn about Danger zones we must avoid.
As we look at Psalm 126, we find one of the most joyful songs in all of Scripture — a celebration of God’s restoring power. The psalmist says, “When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.” It was a moment so wonderful, so unexpected, that it felt like a dream come true. This passage reminds us that God is able to turn sorrow into singing, captivity into freedom, and tears into joy
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, he found Israel dancing around a golden calf. In the heat of judgment and confrontation, Aaron tried to excuse the sin by saying, “I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf” (Exodus 32:24). But the truth is - You cannot blame the Fire!
In this powerful message, we uncover the true marks of a follower of Christ. In a world full of voices, how can we tell who truly walks with God? The Bible shows us that the difference is revealed through patience, praise, persuasion, and preaching.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN

The message “JUST WHAT GOD WANTS” captures the heart of Romans 14, where Paul teaches believers to live in a way that pleases God rather than themselves. In this chapter, the focus is on seeking God’s will above personal opinions, preferences, or liberties. It’s a call to surrender our desires and align our hearts with His — to walk in love, not judgment, and to pursue peace and edification.
This episode takes us to the book of Jude for a message titled “The Biopsy of a Backslider.” Just as a biopsy reveals hidden sickness, this study exposes the spiritual causes and symptoms of backsliding — when believers drift from truth back toward the world. Pastor Shelley explains how apostasy creeps in, steals conviction, and corrupts character, yet reminds us that God still offers restoration. No matter how far someone has fallen, there’s hope and healing when the backslider comes home to the Lord.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain” Text: Exodus 20:7 This scripture reminds us that bearing God’s name is a sacred responsibility, not just a spoken claim. To take His name “in vain” means to take it falsely or without sincerity. As Christians, we bear the name of Christ — we are called His people, His children, and His representatives in this world. Taking His name involves commitment, like a marriage vow that binds us to Him for better or worse, as Job declared, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” It also reflects character — our lives should display Christ’s likeness in our words, actions, and love, not just in outward profession. If a blind person followed us for two weeks, would they know we’re Christians by how we live? Finally, it speaks of circumstance — we are called by His name to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from sin (2 Chronicles 7:14). For His name’s sake, He restores, leads, and forgives us. So let us confess, call upon, and commit to His name — not taking it in vain, but living in a way that honors the name above every name.

“Life Produces Life”Text: 1 Peter 1:3; 22–25; 2:1–5The Christian life is a wonderful life! Peter reminds us that it’s a life filled with steadfast hope, personal holiness, and motivated reverence. Why? Because we have been given new life through Jesus Christ — and life produces life. When Christ gives life, that life begins to grow, to build, and to bear fruit. In this passage, Peter shows us three key truths about the life we now live in Him.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN
In Romans 13:8–14, Paul gives a clear and urgent call to believers — “It’s time for change.” God is calling His people to wake up, to live with spiritual awareness and moral urgency, knowing that Christ’s return is near. The knowledge of His coming should stir our hearts to live differently, reflecting His light in a dark world. It’s time for a change in our appetite, casting off the works of darkness and putting on the new man in Christ; a change in our armor, as we put on the armor of light and walk in dependence on Him; a change in our attitude, to walk honestly before God and others; a change in our application, to not just know the Word but to live it; and a change in our allocation, making no provision for the flesh. Like soldiers who burn their ships, we must leave no way back to sin. When we truly “put on the Lord Jesus Christ,” His presence will be seen in us—His love, His compassion, His strength—and the world around us will be changed. Oh, it’s time for change.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN
As we continue to study the book of Exodus, we come to one of the most important passages in all of Scripture—the Ten Commandments. These are not just ancient words written on stone; they are living truths meant to shape our hearts and guide our daily walk with God. In this sermon, we focus on the first four commandments, which remind us that God must always come first. They call us to honor His name, His day, and His place in our lives above all else. When God has His rightful place, everything else finds its proper order. Join us as we learn what it truly means to love and serve the Lord with all our heart, soul, and strength.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN
