The 2026 Formula 1 season is officially launched! Well, shaken down at least... But do you know your shakedown from your pre-season test (no, us neither)? What about flo-viz and aero rakes? Our first review of 2026 takes us back to the Dakar Rally, the world's toughest motorsport event bar none. 13 stages over 15 days kick start the year as cars, bikes, and trucks attempt to navigate 7,900km of the rocky and sandy terrain of the Saudi Arabian desert. The Dakar Rally was my favourite "discovery" of our 2025 reviews. There is something truly magic about this journey and the cameraderie shared by all of the competitors, and yet the very real dangers of traversing a desert landscape always loom. My navigator through the dunes was motorsport superfan David, who each year creates a handy guide to the Dakar Rally for new fans, exactly like myself! Please check it out below, along with David's other guides (which I'm sure will soon include a much needed guide to the 2026 WRC season too)!If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. Has the 2025 Formula 1 season really finished already? 24 races FLEW by and of course it was McLaren and Lando Norris that have claimed the Championships - who could have predicted that? Well prior to the season beginning, myself and Keith tried to do exactly that! But how did we do?In the second half of the season review, we look at the top 5 teams of 2025. Surprises, disappointments, mid-season personnel swaps, and one of the all time great drivers tries to overcome the greatest points deficit a World Champion would ever face. Surely not eve Verstappen could do it, could he? We also find out the final results from Perry and Keith's pre-season predictions, could Keith overcome the 4 point deficit from part 1? As discussed towards the end of the last episode, a wonderful young girl called Alayah has turned adversity in her own life and turned it into a strength to help others. She has spent her spare time to make "Foot Doon Lando" bracelets that she has been selling to raise money for Heel and Toe Charity, a Children's charity in the North East of England raising money to help children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities. Somehow, some disgusting people have posted some vile comments and messages simply for being a Lando Norris fan. Please show some love if you can and remind Alayah that the F1 community has a lot of decent members too! This is it - 23 F1 weekends have been and gone, and it all comes down to 1 final Grand Prix. Oscar Piastri, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris. Only 1 of them would be crowned the 2025 F1 Drivers Champion, and separating each from that finding out that destiny was 58 laps the Yas Marina circuit. There were countless permutations and scenarios, but ultimately they knew their tasks. For Piastri and Verstappen, they HAD to win the race. For Norris, he had to be on the podium. What followed probably won't be remembered as the greatest Grand Prix to have ever graced the sport, however it was tense from the moment the lights went out, to the moment they passed the chequered flag. Verstappen did everything that he could, Piastri rolled the dice with an alternate strategy, but it was Lando Norris that got the job done. But it was far from easy as he was chased throughout by a determined Charles Leclerc, trying somehow to wrestle just 1 more podium visit from the mightily disappointing SF-25.Joining Perry to discuss the concluding Grand Prix of he 2025 season, Tom Cairns and Corrinne Bowers give their verdicts on expectations going into the showdown, and what we witnessed within it.As discussed towards the end of the episode, a wonderful young girl called Alayah has turned adversity in her own life and turned it into a strength to help others. After the double disqualification for McLaren in Las Vegas, the Drivers Championship has never been closer - Lando Norris holds a 24 point lead over both Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri. The penultimate round of the 2025 F1 season is already upon us, and and sprint weekend in Qatar is the only event left ahead of that season finale in Abu Dhabi. Could either Verstappen or Piastri stop Norris from clinching the Championship this weekend? After taking a dominant sprint race victory, Oscar Piastri took pole position for the Grand Prix itself ahead of title rivals Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. With overtaking proving so difficult around the Losail circuit, the run to turn 1 would be crucial, but would the mandated 25 lap maximum tyre stint length become a factor through the rest of the rest, or would it dictate the strategy for the teams? Could anyone else get amongst the Championship protagonists to steal a podium visit? And where would the remaining points be shared as both teams and drivers look to score some late season Championship positions? Eddie and Luis are back to discuss all of the talking points with Perry. If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. The penultimate round of the 2025 F1 season is already upon us, and and sprint weekend in Qatar is the only event left ahead of that season finale in Abu Dhabi. Could either Verstappen or Piastri stop Norris from clinching the Championship this weekend? The first hurdle was the Sprint race itself, 19 laps of the Losail circuit under the lights. Whilst all of the talk heading into the weekend seemed to be about Verstappen closing in on a possible 5th World Drivers Championship, it was Piastri who claimed Sprint pole ahead of George Russell. Would he be able to convert pole to a win and keep the pressure on Norris? What could Verstappen do from 6th position? Perry discusses all of the points from the Sprint half of the weekend, so get yourself ready and all set for the Qatar Grand Prix itself by giving our Sprint review a listen! If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. This is it - the final triple header of the F1 season and the final 3 Grand Prix weekends to decide who will be the Formula 1 World Drivers Champion! Norris, Piastri, Verstappen - who will it be? Kicking off the last races, Formula 1 heads to sin city and the lights of Vegas as racing returns to the strip. Cold dusty conditions greet the drivers around this street circuit, and in 2025 we got a new component in the form of rain too! The high speed, low grip, nature of the circuit was not expected to play to the strength of the McLaren's here, so would we see Verstappen make a dent into the Championship advantages of Norris and Piastri? Could Mercedes once again spring a surprise after dominating the 2024 Grand Prix?As it turns out, we were truly treated to a fascinating Grand Prix weekend. One of the best qualifying sessions of the year in tricky conditions, a race with both battling and strategy at play, and then the Championship bombshell that saw both the McLaren's disqualified due to excessive plank wear. Could this be the race that saw the Championship go Verstappen's way? Discussing the weekend with Perry is Jimmy from the Papaya Pod - a must listen for all McLaren fans! As Formula takes 1 last weekend off before the Championship ending triple header, we take a look back at the the NASCAR Cup Series Championship deciding race hosted at Phoenix. The playoff format employed by the series guarantees that 4 drivers arrived in Phoenix with the chance to claim the Championship - Denny Hamlin, William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Chase Briscoe. But who would walk away with the ultimate prize in 2025?Perry is joined by NASCAR Cup Series fan Luis this week, with the task of changing our early season verdict of the series... Armed with a Championship to be decided and watching the entire race and not just the highlights, would Perry be won over at the second time of trying? And what do we both think of the controversial playoff format that has been at the heart of NASCAR Series debates for so long?If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. The busy Sprint weekend schedule leaves no time to rest - following dramatic Sprint race, action resumed with the Brazilian Grand Prix itself. After Lando Norris took a narrow win from Kimi Andrea Antonelli in the Sprint, they would both line up alongside each other once again for the Grand Prix itself. But it was Leclerc starting 3rd, relegating Championship hopeful Piastri to 4th. And Verstappen? Well a disappointing qualifying session left him starting from the pit lane.Could Norris secure the win and with it a huge step towards the Championship? Could Antonelli claim a first Grand Prix victory in his rookie season? What could Piastri do from 4th on the grid? What could Verstappen do from the pit lane? All will be discussed by Perry, Luis and Eddie!Shout out to Terry at Coffee Corner Motorsport - go give his website and social media accounts a follow!https://coffeecornermotorsport.com/If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. 4 Grand Prix, 3 Championship contenders, 2 Sprint races left, 1 point between the McLaren drivers - the numbers don't lie, the end of the 2025 Formula 1 season is going to be one for the record books! And if it wasn't exciting enough, Interlagos usually offers some of the best racing of the season and is the best suited to the current Sprint weekend format.Lando Norris continued where he left off in Mexico by securing Sprint pole, but could Oscar Piastri or either of the fast paced Mercedes duo offer a threat in the Sprint race? With heavy rain hanging in the area, drama was all but guaranteed! Just 5 race weekends remain in the 2025 F1 Championship, and next up is the Mexican Grand Prix around the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Located in the heart of Mexico City, the circuit is situated over 2km above sea level, meaning air is at a premium. The cars will run with Monaco wing levels, but will only be able to generate Monza levels of downforce! And with the track not being used often during the year, grip is incredibly difficult to come by. Off the back of scoring maximum points in Austin and reducing the Championship deficit down to just 40 points, Max Verstappen arrives in Mexico in red hot form. Is there anything that either of the McLaren drivers can do to upset the form guide? Ferrari also enjoyed a competitive weekend in Austin, could they continue the trend and deliver another podium? And what could the 9 rookies produce as they get a chance to experience F1 machinery during FP1?Reviewing the Grand Prix alongside Perry is McLaren superfan Keith - but we promise not to be too biased to the papaya squad! The 2025 F1 Championship is ramping up nicely as the end of the season approaches, so what better time for a Sprint weekend than in Austin. The Circuit of the America's has served Max Verstappen very well over the years, so he will be looking to take maximum points and make another dent into the Drivers Championship lead of the McLaren pair. After winning the sprint race from pole position, Max Verstappen once again lined up on pole for the Grand Prix itself. Could he repeat his win, or could Lando Norris and the rest of the chasing pack put a stop to Max's hold on the United States Grand Prix? A number of teams and drivers were looking to bounce back from a disappointing Sprint, and could Ferrari surprise again after showing good pace? The Circuit of the America's has served Max Verstappen very well over the years, so he will be looking to take maximum points and make another dent into the Drivers Championship lead of the McLaren pair. 19 laps from lights out to the chequered flag and with no pitstops required, could Verstappen go on to convert his Sprint Pole into a Sprint win? Could the chasing McLaren pair demonstrate the once dominant performance of the MCL39? And what could the chasing pack bring to the table in terms of action, lead by the outstanding Nico Hulkenberg from a dizzying 4th place? The single seater motorsport ladder has many options on the way to Formula 1 sitting as the pinnacle. Although there is no set route or defined ranking to the various series, one of the very top rungs often gets overlooked and does not have the popularity that it probably deserves...Super Formula is one of (if not the) Japan's top motorsport series alongside Super GT. It boasts to have the fastest cars outside of Formula 1, and has been the final proving ground for many F1 drivers over the years. So is there a reason why it seemingly does not have the following befitting of such a series, or is it just on the cusp of becoming more popular amongst the motorsport fanbase?Discussing Super Formula with Perry is Luis - we review rounds 1 and 2 of the 2025 season held at Suzuka. And if you like our review and want to give Super Formula a watch yourself then you can find both of these full race replays available for free over at Motorsport.tv - Give them a watch! If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below. With the European races completed, F1 entered the final phase of the 2025 season. Starting with the home of the night race, the Singapore Grand Prix. Last year saw Lando Norris take a commanding victory ahead of Max Verstappen, which had fans asking whether he could really overturn the deficit and make it a Championship fight. This year roles are reversed, so could Verstappen take a win that proved his Championship hopes were real?McLaren squandered the first chance to wrap up the Constructors Championship in baku, so would they take the second chance and make amends under the lights of Singapore? A podium finish for either McLaren driver would do it, but maybe Mercedes and Ferrari could offer one last reprieve to their celebrations?Joining Perry this week to discuss the Grand Prix, fellow McLaren fan and McLaren Fanscast guest Andy Robinson steps up to offer his views on the weekend. If you enjoy what we do then please let us know - all of our social media links are below.
