Description
Do you call the Show-Me state home? Are you sick of burying your head in the sand about national and local political issues? Are you too overwhelmed to even think about consuming news due to the sheer quantity? We realized through conversations with people in all different settings, most have NO IDEA what's going on in our local government. We decided to do this podcast to cover the shenanigans that we think is especially important for our friends and family to know. We do say a few cuss words so we wouldn't recommend listening while your kids are in the car!

In this episode, we talk about why working families rely on SNAP benefits. Hint: it’s not because they’re living the high life on government-funded charcuterie boards. It’s because many corporations still behave like paying a living wage is a mythical concept, like Bigfoot or affordable housing. We dive into how the middle class keeps the entire economy running, yet somehow keeps getting treated like the “optional” middle child. Then we take a detour into the world of politics, where manipulation is basically a sport and women running for office get critiqued on their policies and their shoes. Technology, mind games, psychological influence—it’s all here. Yes, your phone is basically a tiny propaganda billboard. We also shine light on the very real and very global issue of human trafficking, because pretending it doesn’t exist isn’t helping anyone. And we wrap it all up by reminding ourselves of the most powerful force we have: community. When things get chaotic, we don’t rise alone. We rise together. Preferably with snacks.
The “No Kings” rally drew a crowd — proof that people are fed up. From protests that mix humor and anger, to ICE’s ballooning budget and the military’s quiet moves in the Caribbean, this episode looks at how power keeps expanding while citizens push back. We talk student loans, trade, and why satire might be the last honest form of protest.
2025 called — it wants its sanity back. From Amish peace to political chaos, we’re watching history replay itself, just with more hashtags and fewer ethics. The CDC’s under fire, Trump’s still fishing for gold stars, and the voting machines may or may not be owned by your cousin’s crypto startup. It’s the same circus — just new clowns.
Welcome to the podcast where beef prices aren’t the only thing getting butchered. We’re slicing into how corporate ag, political apathy, and crumbling rural hospitals are serving rural America a well-done disaster. From tariffs to tax credits to the ghosts of the Rural New Deal, we’re grilling up stories that prove it’s not just the cows getting milked—it’s all of us.Find Will here:https://www.youtube.com/@WestmorelandPopshttps://www.tiktok.com/@westmoreland_pops?is_from_webapp=1&sender_device=pc
Buckle up for a brutally honest ride through Missouri’s political hell, where Jess Piper calls out the nonsense most politicians hope you’re too distracted to notice. From gerrymandered districts and disappearing detainees to billionaire-approved news and TikTok takeovers, we’re unpacking how democracy got sold at a garage sale. If you’re tired of gaslighting headlines, government hypocrisy, this podcast is your antidote.
@anthon7yandrewsJoin us with Tony as we tackle free speech — that magical right people confuse with “say anything without consequences.” Algorithms are now our overlords, documentaries try to clean up the mess, and cognitive dissonance keeps politics spinning. Meanwhile, scandals involving politicians and child abuse remind us that accountability is apparently optional. And political “compromise”? Just code for selling your soul for a seat at the table.
Well, taco tits lives another day. Missouri still sucks. Peter Thiel is the AntiChrist. Mike KeHOE is still a HOE.
Welcome to Missouri, where it’s so hot even protests are sweating democracy out of existence, but don’t worry — a $2 million stealth bomber flyover made sure taxpayers felt the burn too. While politicians swap awkward handshakes with Putin and Gavin Newsom sharpens his 2028 audition tape, Missouri public schools slide down the rankings faster than grocery prices climb. Meanwhile, St. Charles may get a shiny new data center (because what’s transparency when you can have tech bros and higher utility bills?). Media spin is losing ground to independent voices, gender politics are still stuck in the 1950s, and we’re left wondering: will anyone actually write this mess down so future generations know exactly how ridiculous it was?
This week, we dive into the shockingly controversial idea that women should gasp value education and financial literacy—wild, right? We explore how personal experiences shape views on women’s rights, why divorce can be the ultimate glow-up, and how single mothers are basically running society on caffeine and pure grit. The political climate isn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for women’s rights, and healthcare access, especially around abortion, is becoming a luxury item. We call out societal pressures that keep women stuck and remind listeners that self-worth isn’t optional, it’s survival.
Strap in for a rollercoaster of political absurdity as we use humor sharper than a gerrymandered district line to unpack America’s ongoing circus. From Billy Long’s blink-and-you-miss-it stint as IRS commissioner to Laura Loomer’s Arby's mishap, this episode skewers the instability of leadership and the drama-hungry media machine. We’ll even revisit the footlong sandwich incident that proves public safety can be derailed by carbs. Missouri’s gerrymandering disaster takes center stage, alongside grim discussions about shootings and political dysfunction, but don’t worry—we lighten the mood with a side of Gavin Newsom’s social media savviness and a sprinkle of food jokes about public figures. Because if democracy is going down in flames, we might as well roast marshmallows on it.
Find him on Twitter: @anthon7yandrewsThink you’re in control? Cute. Anthony’s here to connect the dots the media hopes you’ll scroll past—surveillance culture, social media censorship, and the algorithm that decides if you’re allowed to speak. From Trump’s sketchy network (hi Zampoli!) to Epstein’s labyrinth of lies, this episode peels back the glossy headlines to reveal a system run by billionaires prepping for a future without you. We’re digging into COVID’s political power plays, gerrymandering gymnastics, National Guard deployments, and the slow creep of authoritarianism disguised as “leadership.” Spoiler: history already warned us, but no one listened.
In this episode, we wade into the swamp where politics, crime, and greed blend seamlessly. From Josh Hawley’s political maneuvers and whispers of insider trading in Congress to the dark, unfinished business of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, we explore the underbelly of power. Along the way, we examine why CEOs are in the crosshairs, how media narratives twist public perception, and why public outrage may be the only force left to hold the powerful accountable.
FIND ANTHONY ON X @anthon7yandrewsIn this episode, we pull back the velvet curtain on the messy mash-up of history, conspiracy, and power. From the secretive whispers in congressional back rooms to the social media megaphones blasting half-truths, we explore how misinformation shapes public perception, why our education system needs a reality check, and what the future of U.S. politics might look like when the masks come off. Expect a mix of hard facts, uncomfortable truths, and just enough intrigue to make you wonder if the Illuminati RSVP’d to your last Facebook invite.
This week, we dive into the hot mess of American politics where DACA recipients still get surprise ICE visits, Missouri lawmakers treat voter-approved laws like suggestions, and paid sick leave is somehow controversial. Sprinkle in a dash of conspiracy theories, a heaping scoop of political hypocrisy, and just enough national debt panic to keep you up at night. Civic engagement never sounded so exhausting.
This week, we dive headfirst into the flaming dumpster that is American politics—with oven mitts, of course. Andrew Bailey is busy protecting corporations from the trauma of accountability, while actual Afghan allies get shown the door for having the audacity to believe U.S. promises mean anything. We take a scenic detour through Obamagate—aka "Fan Fiction for the Fox News Crowd"—and pause to reflect on the beautiful separation of church and state (RIP). Tina gets real with her congressman, and by "gets real," we mean “politely wrecks him with facts.” Ghislaine Maxwell makes a cameo in our ongoing segment, “Elite Crimes: Just Vibes, No Consequences.” And finally, Hunter Biden’s interview reminds us that, yes, everyone’s life is a mess—some of us just don’t have 24/7 surveillance and a last name that triggers boomers. Democracy may be on life support, but at least the commentary is killer.
In this uplifting romp through late-stage democracy, Lisa and Tina dissect Josh Hawley’s brave crusade against poor people (via Medicaid), revisit the Epstein files that somehow never seem to reach the right courtroom, and marvel at how QAnon turned child trafficking into fan fiction. Along the way, they explore how private prisons are thriving off immigrant misery and how humanitarian aid was deemed too generous under the Trump doctrine. Spoiler: It’s all a mess — but at least we can laugh while the ship sinks.
From rainbow flags to red flags—Tina takes Josh to Pride while Missouri takes away your rights. Also, why is taxpayer money funding private prisons instead of PTO?
This week’s episode dives headfirst into the comforting topic of impending global catastrophe, starting with the G7 summit—a political cosplay convention where world leaders awkwardly pretend to get along while quietly edging us toward World War III. Back in the good ol’ U.S. of A., the National Guard is popping up in places that should probably be left to, you know, civilians, while lawmakers are dodging threats like it’s part of their job description (because apparently, it is now). ICE is still doing ICE things—terrorizing communities with the subtlety of a sledgehammer—and political “debate” sounds more like a group therapy session for angry boomers. Thankfully, we balance the chaos with sarcasm, jokes, and a strong sense of community forged through mutual disbelief. Tune in, stay woke-ish, and laugh so you don’t scream.
Missouri’s out here rallying for democracy with the No Kings crowds while juggling youth violence, a loneliness epidemic, and more guns per capita than good decisions. The state takes in more federal money than it gives—making it a welfare queen in camo. Local crime rates rival big cities, yet politicians keep blaming "urban decay" from the safety of their subsidized offices. Meanwhile, marginalized groups are getting louder, the political right is eating itself alive, and even the skeptics are dusting off their protest signs. Turns out, hope (and sarcasm) might just be Missouri’s next big export.
Lil X might have a future in WWE, we should hook him up with the Dept of Education....if we still have one. ICE is the new Gestapo and still out there snatching up our neighbors fully masked with no identification. We are making it easier to get guns again, because more guns always make us feel safer. Brain worm put out a report that contained 7 sources that are non-existent. Hope everyone is ready to live in a surveillance state, because Palantir is finishing up your dossier now!
