Oprah Winfrey has just flown the Duggar family, in late 2006, from their isolated farm in Arkansas to Chicago. She covers all accommodations for mom, dad, and their litter of (at the time) 17 kids and counting in exchange for an interview.
The Duggars are a well known reality TV family, iconic for their cult-like way of life. They looked like time travelers. A family plucked from the pre-electricity past and dropped in the middle of the big city.
Before they can even start filming, an anonymous email in all caps, lands in one of the producer’s inboxes:
“…YOU NEED TO KNOW THE TRUTH… [REDACTED] HAS MOLESTED [REDACTED] WHILE [REDACTED] WERE SLEEPING AND THE PARENTS HAVE BEEN HIDING THIS SECRET FOR A LONG TIME…”
Oprah takes the tip seriously. She cancels their interview and forwards the email straight to the authorities and a child abuse hot line.
The email is later found to be sent by a [redacted] female. And not only that, the sender is right…
At least 3 Duggars have been arrested thus far, in addition to 1 police officer in connection with their case, all relating to crimes against children.

Mattheo is driving to a town called Nuremberg in Germany. A good friend of his is sitting shotgun and just as they’re driving past a local pizzeria, about to get onto the highway ramp, Mattheo spots something in his peripheral.
He slams the brakes, his friend’s head almost hits the dash, and he pulls a U-turn as fast as physically possible.
The moment the car stops, he’s out and walking straight up to a girl with long, dark hair standing in front of the pizzeria. She looks a bit skittish. Her eyes are giant as he stares back at her.
He says the first thing he asks her is, “Are you dead?”
She responds slowly, “I don’t know…” Then she bolts. Runs off. Mattheo jumps back into the car to follow her.
She’s not supposed to be here. She’s not supposed to be anywhere.

Two officers from the Kotzebue, Alaska Police Department enter a living room and ask the two small children watching SpongeBob, “Did someone call the police?”
One just points to a bedroom door. Inside, a man, Anthony, cradles a young woman’s body drenched in blood. He says she’s his girlfriend, Jennifer. That he too, was just watching SpongeBob in the living room when he heard a ‘pop’ from the bedroom and found her with a ‘self-inflicted’ gun shot wound to her chin.
An investigation begins. The rifle used measures 27 and 1/8th inches long from barrel to trigger. Jennifer’s arm is 26 and 3/16th inches long. Nothing comes of it. The medical examiner observes red strangulation marks around Jennifer’s neck. The investigation is over within one day. Jennifer’s death is declared a self exit.
They don’t test for gunshot residue on the boyfriend, Anthony.
They don’t look into his past record of abuse and SA.
After all, Anthony lives with his father, Clement Richards Senior, the mayor of the Northwest Arctic Borough. Surely this was a horrific one time tragic event…
Two years later another young woman’s body is found one again, at the mayor’s home.

In the event of a break in, usually something of value is stolen from a house. But what if someone breaks into your home and steals a single, random item. Your hairbrush. Your pet’s ashes. Your family picture but leaves the frame. Your one spare house key?
Daniel Krug, patriarch, calls the police after his wife, Kristil comes home and realizes that the spare key they keep hidden in their garage is missing. They could’ve just misplaced it right?
With three young children at home though, the family doesn’t want to take any chances. Especially after Daniel, the father, remembers pulling into his driveway, before the key went missing, and saw someone jump their fence and take off running.
If someone had broken into their garage, stole their spare key, and nothing else that can really only mean one thing right? They’re planning on coming back.
Daniel reports it to the police and even gives his statement to the responding officer who visits his house. For nearly three months the family will grow increasingly paranoid after feeling like the burglar never left the house in the first place. That he came back and started doing stranger and stranger things around the house.
Until exactly 82 days after the initial report, one of the Krug family members will be found inside the family home.

Everyone hears about pre-nups but what about post-nups? They’re drafted and signed AFTER two people are legally married and they’re typically much weaker when brought in front of a judge.

Perhaps nerdy, but the type of guy to get into peak shape later in life. Tatyana Remley is his wife with bottle blonde hair and a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model body. She’s also the main star of the Valitar horse show. The Remley’s invested over $20 million dollars into the show, just to lose every single penny of it after multiple scandals back to back. Allegedly, horses were abandoned with nothing to eat and massive creative differences led to performers quitting. Former staff members would come out to allege that Tatyana Remley doesn’t even know how to ride a horse that well… Later, the couple is featured on TV as a well known swinger’s couple, a pillar in the local sex-swinging community. That’s just a side quest though; the most scandalous thing that happened at Valitar was the decapitated horse head on the Remley’s marital bed. Thankfully, it’s not an actual butchered horse head. It’s just a hunk from one of their very expensive statues in their $5.5 million dollar home near San Diego, California. And it’s clearly not been placed there as a mistake. This is a targeted threat. that intro was kind of weird... nurses do not universally tell fathers to just sit down and not move. Also, it's their child as well. They're allowed to be involved. Not all women want to exclude them.
