In this episode, Dr Deblina Dasgupta, Chief Medical Officer, sits down with Councillor Anntoinette Bramble, Statutory Deputy Mayor and Cabinet Member for Education, Young People, and Children’s Social Care in Hackney for conversation about leadership, partnership, and our collective committment to the people of Hackney and beyond.  They discuss the partnership between Homerton Healthcare and Hackney Council, exploring how collaborating in education, health, and social care builds a stronger, healthier community. They cover prevention-focused care, equity in access, and the power of co-creation to deliver care and services. 
In episode 3, Bas talks to Paediatric Consultant Dr Alex Argyropoulos about his journey as a doctor, from Greece to Homerton. Dr Alex shares his insights as a new consultant, the impact of Brexit and the importance of diversity in the NHS, what it's like to live in the same community you work in, and navigating imposter syndrome.  (note: this is our third Homerton Voices Podcast, however it was recorded before the previous published episode (episode 2, reclaiming narratives ) so there are references to this being the second episode during the podcast) 
In this episode Bas talks to Safirah Irani, Alesia Waterman, and Dr Natalie Bailey about 2024's Black History Month theme "Reclaiming Narratives".  They  explore how reclaiming narraitives empowers them and enriches their communities and discuss the importance of cultural storytelling, self-identity, and resilience. They each share personal reflections on heritage and family, and how embracing both the struggles and achievements of their communities shapes their sense of worth and visibility in professional spaces. 
In episode 1 Chief Executive Bas Sadiq talks to Dr Anna Chapman, Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Lead.  Listen to hear more about Anna's incredible story of determination and hard work to get where she is today. She shares her passion for leadership and training others, and working in a more integrated way with our local community, as well as her research goals.
