Episode 15 of All In Martin honors Black History Month by reflecting on the lasting impact of educators who helped shape learning and opportunity in the Martin County School District. In this episode, Joshua Perry and Dr. Kimberly McHardy share the stories and legacies of Marian Carpenter and the McHardy family—educators whose dedication to students and community continues to influence generations. From the early days of segregated schools to decades of service in Martin County classrooms and leadership roles, their families’ commitment to education helped pave the way for many of the opportunities students experience today.
