SCOTT SRAM Racing’s Nino Schurter and Filippo Colombo won the 2025 Absa Cape Epic after a tense week-long battle. In Episode 6 of Getting to Grips, Sean and Jo chat to the SCOTT SRAM Racing team manager, Joggie Prinsloo to get some insight into what it took to secure the important victory.
Tyler Jacobs only started mountain biking in 2021 and has enjoyed a rapid rise through the sport. She is a member of the international Liv Factory Racing Team, which focusses primarily on UCI XCO World Cup Racing. In Episode 5 of Getting to Grips, the young South African star chats to Sean, Jo and Cade about her life as a pro mountain bike racer.

Episode 3 of Getting to Grips with TREAD Media sees Sean and Jo reflect on recent major South African races as well as discuss the increase in women’s participation at Tankwa Trek stage race. The guest in this episode is Mamello Mnguni, a relative newcomer to mountain biking but already aiming at finishing her second Absa Cape Epic with the support of the Absa #SheUntamed programme.
