The Underclass Podcast

Welcome to "The Underclass Podcast" with Austin Wade Picard,I am an independent researcher who can't stomach being lied to on a daily basis by the Mainstream Media. While we live in a fracturing society launched into parallel realities falling perfectly onto the two sides of the political spectrum, I remain in the underclass...Please consider supporting my work- Austin's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/TheUnderclassPodcastAustin's Spreaker: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-underclass-podcast--6511540Austin's Rumble: https://rumble.com/user/TheUnderclassPodcastAustin's YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnderclassPodcastBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-underclass-podcast--6511540/support.

This week, I once again had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite people in the alternative media landscape as I sat back down with the great William Ramsey in order to discuss the 1973 British folk horror film, "The Wicker Man" directed by Robin Hardy. Was The Wicker Man just a horror film, or a pagan ritual the audience was made to take part in? William Ramsey is joined again by Austin Wade Picard of The Underclass for a deep dive into the 1973 cult classic: From Dennis Wheatley and Aleister Crowley to the Son of Sam letters and "Wicked King Wicker" moniker, Christopher Lee's 12,000-book occult library and his warning about black magic, the Green Man, the Maypole, and the mystery of the original negative, allegedly buried under a British motorway.Director Robin Hardy said burning "the occasional policeman" sounded like a fair price. Screenwriter Anthony Shaffer said he looked forward to the day "when we are pagans again." Join us, as we go through the film scene by scene and ask what was really being put in front of the audience.CHAPTERS0:00 Trailer0:56 Welcome: William Ramsey & Austin Wade Picard5:01 Son of Sam & the "Wicked King Wicker" letters7:14 Hollywood, the holly tree & Druid wands8:31 Puritan vs. pagan: the audience as ritual participant10:09 Christopher Lee's extraordinary life18:52 Lee, public executions & his heavy metal band20:05 Occult ties: Dennis Wheatley, Crowley & Hammer films25:05 Lee's 12,000 occult books & his warning37:42 The Ghost Club, Tavistock & the Age of Aquarius39:50 The final-cut war & the vanished negative42:39 The Green Man symbol & True Detective parallels49:58 The church opening scene & the pagan spy52:49 "One of the 10 worst movies": British Lion & the buried negative59:00 "A touch of paganism in all of us": the filmmakers' own words1:01:23 Willow, the Maypole & testing Howie's faith1:04:41 May Morrison, Rowan & the March hare1:07:50 Spirit cooking & the sacrifice to Aphrodite1:13:45 Why "the right kind of adult" is chosen1:18:39 Musical mind control: the pagan folk score1:20:49 "The old gods are not dead"1:22:51 The ritual cue card from the set1:24:28 Discernment & self-defeating ideology1:29:57 Wrap-up & where to find AustinPlease consider supporting our work-William's Spreaker: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/william-ramsey-investigates--1898073William's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/williamramseyinvestigatesWilliam's Website: https://www.williamramseyinvestigates.com/Austin's Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/TheUnderclassPodcastAustin's Spreaker: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-underclass-podcast--6511540Austin's YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheUnderclassPodcastAustin's Rumble: https://rumble.com/user/TheUnderclassPodcast#TheWickerMan #ChristopherLee #Occult #FolkHorror #WilliamRamsey #TheUnderclass #Paganism #HollywoodSecretsBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-underclass-podcast--6511540/support.
