Sandra experienced two ectopic pregnancies. Her first was during the COVID-19 pandemic. She details what it was like to have emergency surgery alone at the hospital because her husband wasn't allowed to be with her. Sandra's second was shortly after her first and was treated with methotrexate.
While both of her experiences happened nearly five years ago, it still brings tears to her eyes - A feeling I can completely relate to.
Thank you for being brave, Sandra!❤️

Denise Borraz Trepat is a Los Angeles actress, director, and producer. She experienced an ectopic pregnancy at the beginning of the COVID pandemic (2020). Please help support Denise and ENOUGH (her film) by donating to or sharing her crowdfunding page. Every little bit counts! 🔗: https://seedandspark.com/fund/enough-1?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaeolT6gc97LE873WW-L_jo4c_A6jXdJ88Ko21IEIbxikzj2bliuCDYyoiCvQA_aem_ZtdFDIHPA6bNMitvj9XcfA#story

Francene was one of my first Instagram friends after going through my ectopic pregnancy, so I'm super excited to have her on this episode! She has a lovely daughter named Luna from earlier in her marriage. When she and her husband decided to expand their family further, they realized it was much harder than the first time.
Francene suffered multiple miscarriages and one ectopic pregnancy over the last few years. After many tests and appointments, they decided it was time for IVF. They started the process earlier this year, and I'm overjoyed to hear they are expecting!!!
Your story will bring light to so many women, Francene.❤️

We touch on many often unspoken points, so I hope you'll listen!

World Health Day (today) is kicking off a year-long campaign on maternal and newborn health titled, “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures.” It urges governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being.
80% of maternal deaths are preventable.
I was invited to be on my friend's podcast, Instigating Women + Friends, to discuss ectopic pregnancy and the importance of this campaign. I share in my intro that the primary recording is from her podcast.
An ectopic pregnancy is life-threatening and happens when a fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus.
Enjoy our real and honest conversation.
Thank you, World Health Organization, for choosing this topic for this year's campaign. I urge everyone to share their stories - as long as you're comfortable.❤️

Sydney's been through a lot in the last few years. She first experienced a missed miscarriage late in her first trimester in 2021, and she needed a D&C. Shortly after, she conceived her rainbow baby, who spent 7 weeks in the NICU after birth. Nearly three years later and only one month ago, she suffered a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and needed surgery.
Thanks for being brave and courageous to share your story, Sydney!❤️
