This week we discuss:
Ovechkin being 12 goals away from the Gretzky record, can he hit 1k, and is there another player even remotely close to flirting with the record in his career?
Conor Garland the workhorse, the switcheroo guru, the straw stir in the drink for the Canucks this season.
The Brier is in Kelowna this week so the guys drafted their respective curling teams made of Canucks players via ChatGPT. The results were hilarious.

Somehow the Vancouver Canucks have put together a string of wins (a streak, we're told) and despite all the drama, they are still a unit. Tylers Myers makes his triumphant return to the lineup and maybe the sky isn't falling on Canucks nation?
It's no secret the Canucks have been a hot mess with trade rumours and poor play but PP1 Podcast comes and delivers the goods you want.
We have a serious discussion about Elias Pettersson and his future, JT Miller's contributions to the team and Demko as a candy bar. Listen and find out why.
There is SO MUCH DRAMA going on with the Canucks and the PP1 Podcast is happy to return to talk about it... and moisturizer... and hitting Tyler Myers with a golf ball.
Listen in and find out what the heck we're talking about this week.
The final PP1 Podcast of 2024 and it's the Christmas show, sorta. Ted and Ryan deliver a very festive episode with Pettersson trade talk, the Sherwood Special, if the Canucks are all-in or not and sports clothing we asked for as kids. Lots of fun and hey, its PP1 so have a listen.
Merry Christmas!
Thatcher Demko is BACK! But more importantly, PP1 Podcast is going to talk about it or maybe we'll complain about the NHL's horribly inconsistent officiating. Maybe we'll talk about Brock Boeser and his next contract? Or maybe we'll see if Ted knows how to spell Connor or Conor for a handful of NHLers.
Lets find out this week on PP1 Podcast
Canucks can expect a hero's welcome for J.T. Miller and Thatcher Demko in the next few days and it's right on time. The PP1 Podcast get into that, the 4 Nations Cup roster reveal, Ryan is cranky, and the return of Top-5!
THPN presents... THE PP1 PODCAST
A late week show as we cover the away games, the Memorial Cup coming to Kelowna, who the Canucks biggest draft steal was and the rabbit hole of "remember that canuck?" The guys also go over how important Filip Hronek is to the Canucks and what it means if he's out long term along with J.T. Miller.
It's not good.
What mobile games are the Canucks playing on their phones? Risk, Among Us? COD? Sudoku? Ryan and Ted bring you questions you always wanted to know about your fave hockey team.
PP1 Podcast gets you ready before the weekend with Canucks mobile games, how ginger beef and scallop potatoes mix, and who ACTUALLY was the fastest ever Canuck (the answer is surprising)
The Canucks are winning, Pettersson is scoring and the Canucks are putting cap savings away for a big spend... Marcus Pettersson anyone? PP1 Podcast brings the heat on a cold night in November. We name random Canucks and how much we remember about said random Canucks. Classic.
Presented in concert with THPN, Draft Kings Sports book, Raycon, and Game Time.
The Canucks, despite what we think, are playing some good hockey. Ryan dedicates the WHOLE episode to being positive about the orca boys.
There is way too much to be positive about and Quinn Hughes reaching 300 assists is the latest feat!
Kiefer Sherwood is buzzing, Jake DeBrusk is scoring and even Elias Pettersson is finally getting in on the action.
Ryan goes off on a rant about house numbers, the guys chat about door dash drivers, and Ted brings up Canucks Reddit on some great categories "Most overrated, most underrated, best player, worst player".
One of our most fun episodes we've done in awhile. Check out the Youtube if you can.
PP1 Podcast presented by THPN, Draft Kings Sports Book and Game Time.
Listen, the Canucks haven't been good lately. They've been relearning hockey like the Matrix and it's a bit frustrating but fear not listeners, Ted and Ryan have you covered.
We get into the deets on how the Canucks are struggling but their overall team depth is keeping them in it.
Ryan gets into the PP and how it's like plugging in the USB wrong: making the same mistakes and not labelling it so you can change.
Top 5 we get into Mario suit power ups and we also get into our go-tos for Halloween chocolate bars.
The struggles are real right now but the Canucks are one spark away from things being pretty amazing again!
