As usual, we talk about something and completely go off the rails on another topic. This week we talk about volunteering for war in the Ukraine and then for some reason we come back to Lord of the Rings... specifically the Rings of Power.
The best way to avoid becoming angry is to remove that which makes you angry. In other words, I can't watch The Rings of Power because it sucks. I can't get behind any political figure because they are garbage.
The crew talks about video game monetization, and how one streamer spent 100k on Diablo Immortal. AND THEN... OUT OF NOWHERE... we talk about people being charged with the theft of Ashley Biden's diary.
We discuss highlights from Snow's adventure at Defcon 2022. It is basically him and 30,000 nerds battling for top nerd. WHO WINS?! Listen to find out. Seriously though, Defcon sounds like an incredible experience. If you know something about cyber security OR know nothing at all, it is worth looking into, based on the report from Snow.
The gang muses on various topics including Alex Jones ripping his shirt and future hosts of InfoWars possibly ripping their shirts. More ramblings about absurdity in society's religion of politics. Sorry for the poor audio.
Back to politics... SB 107 is a California bill that would make the state a sanctuary state for gender affirming treatment. While we have to qualms concerning gender affirming treatment, we believe it is in the best interest of the child that both parents should agree. Since we know so much about it and understand law so well (we don't), we figured we would add our two cents to the matter. Listen in and subscribe.
The film Extraction with Chris Hemsworth is a good example of color grading to make the environment look dirty. There has been some chatter recently that the use of color grading, to make countries outside of the US look bad, is racist. It could be argued that it is more to tell the story or to express that the main character is in a small area which is in fact dirty. We also talk about obituaries and running over herds of deer, because all the guns were taken away and there is no longer deer population control.
In this episode, we have Frances Devries from Happy Fangirl podcast! We talk Fight Club and gory B-Movies. Did you know the ending to Fight Club was altered for Chinese theaters? Did you know if you eat 12 bananas and chug a 2 liter of soda, you will probably evacuate all of your organs? We don't talk about eating bananas and drinking soda in this episode.... OR DO WE?! Lame, I know.
Travel, science, and sleep deprivation. Also, Nasa found mutated sharks hanging out in an underground volcanic cave. Yep, first inflation and now mutated volcanic sharks. I blame the government. We need common sense volcanic shark control, but nobody seems to care.
First, you can't say the G Word in Florida schools...what do? Secondly, all my Disney stocks dropped. Most thirdestly, teachers cannot openly talk to their students about their romantic encounters. Am I the only one who thinks that is outrageous? I should be able to talk about what I want and to whomever I want. If I want to tell my next door neighbor about my romantic encounters, even though she is in her late 80s, I should be able to without restraint. All the gory and lusty and sweaty details.
It has happened. Millions of people die instantly due to rich douche bag buying popular social media platform. I am speaking of course of Elon Musk and his acquisition of Twitter. Twitter just hasn't been the same since. The crew talks about how it affects our personal lives because we are on the platform so much. We literally don't speak to each other outside of Twitter and the podcast. We don't speak to our families either... that's all... I am just stating that we don't have a good relationship with our families.

The game in question is Grand Theft Auto V, and the roleplay aspect has quite a large following. Many streamers stream their streams on streaming services. IT'S TRUE. Davis was a genius and there is no doubting his abilities as a programmer. His rants lead to much memery and jokes, but no one could deny his technological prowress. He is missed.
