The JD Denham Podcast (formerly The Iron Perspective) is for people ready to stop waiting and start building. JD digs into mindset, discipline, faith, and relationships, sitting down with entrepreneurs, coaches, and everyday people who rebuilt their lives from scratch. Expect real talk on betting on yourself, outworking the competition, and ditching average. He'll still dive into addiction, redemption, and faith too, that's part of his story and always will be. But at its core, this show pushes you to take ownership, get uncomfortable, and go after your life without asking permission.

In this episode of The JD Denham Podcast, JD Denham sits down with Joe Stan, author, pastor, recovery advocate, and co-founder of Warpath Ministries, for one of the most spiritually rich conversations this show has had. Two men from completely different worlds who ended up in the exact same war.Joe grew up on one of the oldest farms in North Carolina, raised in extremes by a father who made him feel unwanted and a mother who overcompensated with too much love. His first suicide attempt was at six years old. By nineteen he found drugs and went zero to one hundred on every substance he touched. His journey through addiction, trauma, imprisonment, and eventually full surrender to God became the foundation for Warpath Ministries, which started as addiction outreach and grew into something much bigger: getting to the root of whatever we use to escape.Joe drops one of the most reframed ideas JD has heard on this show: addiction is not a disease and it is not just a choice. Addiction is idolatry. We are all created to worship something. The question is what. And when God finally gets his hands on the people who worshipped a substance with that kind of intensity, they become some of the most extraordinary worshippers of the Most High that the world has ever seen.JD and Joe also dig into Ephesians 6, the invisible war that every man is fighting whether he knows it or not, why putting on the full armor of God every single day is not optional for men like them, and why the pocket of bliss you feel helping someone with zero expectation of return is better than any high either of them has ever chased.Chapters:00:00 – Cold Open: "If You Die, I Want to Bury You by My Window"01:03 – Intro01:11 – Welcome Back & Meeting Joe Stan02:57 – Warpath Ministries: Finding the Real Enemy04:54 – Putting on the Armor of God Daily07:08 – Why Addicts Share the Same Wiring10:54 – Who Is Joe Stan Today?13:45 – The Father Wound That Started It All19:04 – The Three Kinds of Forgiveness21:28 – Finding a Sponsor & Learning Accountability26:22 – JD's Sponsor: Integrity & Doing Hard Things30:38 – Did JD's Dad Change Because of Him?35:17 – Relapse, Fentanyl & a Near-Fatal Crash47:17 – Finding a New Family in Sobriety57:04 – Mentors, a Movement of Broken Men & RededicationFollow Joe Stan:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/joestan44TikTok/Facebook: Joe StanWebsite: warpathministries.orgBooks: The War Within Handbook and Letters from a Dead Man on AmazonJD's Socials: https://hoo.be/jddenhamofficialJoin My Community: https://www.skool.com/peptideoftheweekcommunity/aboutIntro Music: Pennywise – Let Us Hear Your Voice
In this episode of The JD Denham Podcast, JD Denham sits down with Jacob Lawson, entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker, and founder of the Extraordinary Core community. Two men who think big, hate the comfort zone, and have no patience for the ninety-seven percent.Jacob opens up about running along San Diego Bay looking at mega yachts and understanding viscerally that abundance is everywhere and the only thing keeping most people from it is the story they tell themselves. He breaks down why most people never leave the box, why fear of failure makes men posture instead of move, and why your why is the only thing that gets you out of bed when the snooze button is screaming your name.JD and Jacob dig into what it means to live a life of regret versus a life fully used, why God moves broken people into positions of impact rather than the polished ones at the pulpit, and why building a community of men who hold the rope for each other is the real legacy play. Jacob also shares his military lens for sizing up every man he meets: not judgment, just discernment about who belongs in the squad making real decisions and who is back at camp cooking food. This one goes wherever it needs to go and ends with two new brothers who will definitely do big things together.Chapters:00:00 – Intro00:08 – Meeting Jacob Lawson02:28 – Breaking Out of the Box of Comfort03:10 – Finding Your "Why"06:37 – Sobriety & Becoming a Student of Your Craft09:23 – Non-Negotiable Morning Routines11:19 – Extraordinary vs. Ordinary: Doing the Extra13:42 – Choosing Who You Surround Yourself With17:55 – Living in Abundance, Not Competition20:14 – Jacob's Entrepreneurial Roots & Family Seeds28:29 – Why the World Needs More Men to Lead33:26 – JD's Rock Bottom & the Woman Who Said God Loves You45:00 – Legacy, Fatherhood & What Matters Most48:40 – The Divine Idea Behind "Extraordinary Flooring"59:07 – Why COVID Sparked a Fire in JD1:03:28 – What's Next & Where to Find JacobFollow Jacob Lawson:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realjacoblawson/Extraordinary Core Community: Thursday calls 6 PM CentralFollow Me:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jddenhamofficial/Join My Community: https://www.skool.com/peptideoftheweekcommunity/aboutCoaching Website: https://www.warrior-makerscoaching.com/Intro Music: Pennywise – Let Us Hear Your Voice
In this solo episode of The JD Denham Podcast, JD Denham keeps it positive and practical. After a few weeks of calling out everything wrong with the world, he sits down to talk about the thing that actually changes it: becoming a student of your craft, thinking through your day, and surrounding yourself with people who make your ceiling their floor.JD talks about the four men who radically changed the trajectory of his life, starting with his father, who he spent most of his youth arguing with only to realize later he was becoming him and being proud of it. He gets into his sponsor Darko, whose lessons about showing up early, keeping your word, and working to provide a service rather than just collect a paycheck are still running in his head 16 years later. He shares how he drove home from work every single day asking himself how to get better, and how that one habit, done over years, is the actual story behind every business he has built. He talks about studying Bitcoin until he understood it, studying peptides until he could sell them with integrity, and why he will never put his name on something he has not mastered. The message is simple. You are worth it. The life you want is available. But God does not hand it to you and neither does anyone else. You have to think through it, work for it, deserve it, and stay in integrity while you do. Everything else is just details.Chapters:00:00 – Intro00:08 – Reflecting on the Jacob Lawson Podcast02:31 – Surrounding Yourself with Big Thinkers04:36 – Why This Episode Is Meant to Be Positive05:05 – The Men Who Changed His Trajectory06:54 – Finding a Sponsor & Learning to Love Himself09:00 – Breaking Out of the Box of Comfort11:25 – Rock Bottom: Life as a Heroin Addict14:52 – Getting Sober & Selling Golf Clubs16:02 – Back Into Mortgages: Outworking Everyone18:14 – Living With Integrity & Becoming a Student of the Craft20:34 – The Idea That Changed Everything: Old Applications27:33 – Giving Loans Back & Being Watched29:49 – Offered the Branch Manager Job34:31 – "How Do I Get Better?" In this episode of The JD Denham Podcast, JD Denham sits down with DJ Paden, owner of Kingdom Fit in Huntington Beach, California, a gym built on the belief that faith and physical discipline are not separate things. They are the same thing. JD took his whole team there to train and pray, and he knew immediately he had to sit this man down.DJ opens up about losing his father and his older brothers, staying sober through all of it, and never losing his faith. He talks about what it means to build a space where everyone is welcome regardless of where they are with God, why it is about relationship not religion, and why the two great commandments are really all you need: love God and love others. He shares one of the most powerful stories of the episode, a girl who came into his gym heartbroken after losing her 21-year-old brother, brought her wife and her non-believing family to a worship night in the gym, and ended up asking DJ to lead the celebration of life. That is what a Kingdom Fit gym is for.JD and DJ dig into the spiritual leadership crisis in men, why physical discipline and spiritual discipline are inseparable, what it means to put on the armor of God every single day, and why the church closing its doors during COVID was one of the biggest leadership failures of our generation. They also talk about grace, self-righteousness, and why a cuss word in a sentence does not erase the truth inside it.This one is for the man who is ready to come as he is and let God do the rest.Chapters:00:00 – Intro00:08 – Meeting DJ Payden01:25 – Who Is DJ Payden Today?02:36 – The Awakening: Men Reclaiming Boldness for Christ07:46 – Putting on the Armor of God Daily12:08 – The "Warrior Gene" & the Black Sheep Theory14:08 – DJ's Childhood, Early Drinking & Getting Into Fitness18:31 – DUIs, Addiction & Losing His Reputation26:42 – Rock Bottom: Overdosing, Detox & a Suicide Attempt34:34 – Fourth DUI & Facing Prison Time37:55 – Sobriety Date & JD's Own Rock Bottom47:59 – Finding a Sponsor & Wanting What He Had52:52 – Leaving Corporate to Start Kingdom Fit1:02:00 – Why You Have to Give Your Story Away1:07:05 – Walking Through Grief: Losing Brothers & His Father1:16:24 – God Using the Gym to Reach a Grieving Family & OutroFollow DJ Paden:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dj_padenKingdom Fit HB: https://www.instagram.com/kingdomfithbFollow Me:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jddenhamofficial/Join My Community: https://www.skool.com/peptideoftheweekcommunity/aboutIntro Music: Pennywise – Let Us Hear Your Voice
In this solo episode of The JD Denham Podcast, JD Denham comes in hot with zero filter and zero apology. Something he saw in society broke his patience and he sat down in front of the mic and let it rip. This one is a straight up rallying cry for men to stand back up and lead.JD opens with what sent him over the edge: women publicly cheering for a mother who killed her children. Not the politics around it, not the sides, the children. He makes the case that what we are watching in society is a direct result of men going passive, weak, and overweight, abdicating leadership at home, in church, and in the culture. He brings up COVID as exhibit A: the moment when men had a chance to stand on their integrity and most of them folded. He does not let pastors off the hook either. If you closed your church when people needed it most, JD has something to say to you directly. Then he gets personal. From driving his two-year-old daughter to the dope man in the middle of the night while strung out, to waking up in a hospital bed four times, to 16 years sober and building companies, raising sons who want to lift weights with dad every morning. He lays it all out to show you that change is possible and then tells you exactly what it looks like: get in the gym, read your Bible, get sober, open a business, lead your family, raise kids of integrity. This podcast is not for everybody. JD knows it and does not care. It is for the man who is ready to hear the truth.Chapters:00:00 – Intro00:07 – Tribrid Society Beard Co Sponsor02:07 – The Viral Story That Sparked This Episode04:10 – Calling Out Pastors Who Shut Down During COVID06:32 – Cultivating Discipline Starts With Getting in Shape08:57 – JD's Story: From Addiction to Self-Destruction12:07 – Finding a Mentor & Wanting What He Had13:07 – Never Hit Snooze Again: The Promise That Changed Everything16:27 – Becoming a Giver Instead of a Taker19:46 – Doing Hard Things: Cold Showers & Keeping Your Word21:08 – Leading Your Family Whether You Realize It or Not23:18 – A Call to Pastors & Men to Stand Back Up25:25 – Blaming the Lack of Manhood for Society's Decline27:41 – The Movement of Men Reclaiming Their Integrity30:10 – Raising Kids Who Become What They See32:05 – Closing Message & OutroFollow Me:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jddenhamofficial/Join My Community: https://www.skool.com/peptideoftheweekcommunity/aboutIntro Music: Pennywise – Let Us Hear Your Voice
