We chatted about his journey into football media via studying with Real Madrid CF, his love for Yeovil Town FC and Málaga CF, and the many football adventures that have taken him around the world.

With the new League of Ireland season about to kick-off, it was a great opportunity to be joined by Chris Lee - the author of Shades of Green: A Journey Into Irish Football. Dani Strindholm is a professional goalkeeper currently playing for Swedish side Varbergs BoIS, having previously featured for Örebro in Sweden and Arendal in Norway. Dani has represented Sweden at U19 level and has been part of the U21 setup, but his football story starts even earlier — coming through the system at Málaga CF, a club he grew up supporting long before pulling on the gloves. We chat about goalkeeping life, the Scandinavian football scene, international call-ups, and what it’s really like progressing through the game as a young keeper.
