Interim hosts Tom and Luke take over hosting duties on the League One Lowdown to break down the weekend’s action, starting at the Kassam Stadium as Oxford United stun Leicester City with a comprehensive 4-0 victory. Just days after Leicester beat Plymouth Argyle, the Foxes are brought crashing back down to earth as Oxford produce one of the standout results of the League One season so far. Things are little better for Barnsley, who concede five at home to Stevenage in another extraordinary result. Stevenage continue their impressive start with a 5-1 victory at Oakwell, while Barnsley are left to pick through the pieces of a defensive collapse. Stockport County, meanwhile, continue to make an increasingly convincing case that they are the best team in League One. A dominant 4-0 win over Wigan Athletic provides yet more evidence of Stockport’s promotion credentials as they continue to set the pace. Reading also enjoy an impressive afternoon with a 3-1 victory over Blackpool, before attention turns to London Road where Peterborough United suffer another self-inflicted defeat. Sheffield Wednesday leave with a 2-1 victory as Posh once again contribute heavily towards their own downfall. There is considerably more entertainment between Wycombe Wanderers and MK Dons, who share six goals in a brilliant 3-3 draw. Luke gives the MK Dons perspective on a game packed with attacking moments, goals and plenty to dissect from both sides. Elsewhere, Luton Town and Leyton Orient share the points in a 1-1 draw, while Huddersfield Town are also held 1-1 by Notts County.
