Christine Walker remembers Jackson Hole in the ‘90s. It was hard to find full-time, year-round work. Housing was a huge stretch. Especially for those earning their income locally. Today, Jackson Hole’s economy is more advanced. Year-round jobs are plentiful. But, Walker tells co-host Pete Muldoon, finding a free-market home for local earners has gone from hard to “downright impossible.” Having experience with affordable housing policy in towns from Aspen, Colorado, to Bozeman, Montana, the strategist thinks it's time Jackson Hole takes a holistic look at its housing goals for the decades to come. That means drilling down on housing demand from the source: commercial development.

Freestyle skier Jaelin Kauf is one of Wyoming’s – and the nation’s – top prospects for the upcoming winter Olympics. KHOL caught up with her biggest fans at her send-off party at Grand Targhee Resort.

This year was KHOL’s first with Music Director Evan Ballew. This summer he dove into a new music experience and attended his first Grand Teton Music Festival concert as the organization aims to capture more young people. 
This year about $40 million of the state's Biden-era health grants fell victim to federal cuts under the Trump administration. Two programs in Teton County ended prematurely in March. Both addressed disparities in health outcomes and vaccinations.
Earlier this year KHOL went to Driggs, Idaho, where emergency shelter and mid-term supportive housing is an increasing need for people looking to leave a relationship.  
This week the KHOL newsroom is reflecting on 2025, staring with when federal layoffs hit Teton County shortly after President Trump's second inauguration. 
Today children from around the world eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa. Some of them will be calling volunteers in Colorado Springs, Colorado to find out exactly where Saint Nick is on his journey around the globe.
