Welcome back to ‘Season Two’ of The Inner Light Podcast, a podcast on our favourite Beatle ‘George Harrison’.In this first episode of the season, this is part 1 of a two part series where we break down the album that was ‘Dark Horse’. This first episode consists of the context surrounding the album and contextualizing it into the work that we eventually received. This album has been polarising to say the least but it’s a miracle anything came out in this time due to the immense workload he put on himself, his fracturing relationships and an abundance of business matters. We hope you enjoy this video and come back next week for part two where we go into the album itself, track by track. Thanks again for all of the support we’ve had in the time we’ve been away it really does mean the world to us. If you're new here, firstly thank you so much, and we hope you consider supporting us whether it be a like, a share or a follow everything helps! Our Instagrams:@theinnerlightpodcast@rubbersoph@harryfitz

Welcome to the Inner Light Podcast, where we hope to shed light on the lesser-known aspects of our favourite Beatle George Harrison, and delve into everything from his music to his extraordinary life.In this episode we discuss George’s poignant song “Beware Of Darkness” from its creation to its relevance in today’s pop culture and climate. This song has always been in relative ‘darkness’ and ambiguity compared to the tracks surrounding it on the album but in 2025 it’s finally getting the revaluation it really deserves and we hope this episode plays a part to prolong this song’s levity into the future.Happy Halloween and let us know if you’d like to see more song-focused episodes!Media used (under ‘Fair Use’):The Pirate Song Beware Of Darkness - Alternate Acetate TakeApple Scruffs“Luma” from the Super Mario Galaxy original soundtrack*All compositions by George Harrison except*Our Instagrams:@theinnerlightpodcast@rubbersoph@harryfitz

Welcome to the Inner Light Podcast, where we hope to shed light on the lesser-known aspects of our favourite Beatle George Harrison, and delve into everything from his music to his extraordinary life.In today's episode we will spicing up our Deep Dive formula to cater to the album that never was.George Harrison’s ‘Somewhere In England’ was never intended to be the album we received and was one that George was proud of.Playing with old and new friends, reconnecting with his faith and spiritual awareness as well as his new found fatherhood it provided him a fresh slate for creating music much like his self titled album that predates the year before.Ultimately, this album was rejected by Warner to be reworked but in this episode we pay homage to what was dropped, what was added and all the ‘what if’s’ in between. We hope you enjoy! Media used (under ‘Fair Use’):Hong Kong BluesComposition by Hoagy CarmichaelOur Instagrams:@theinnerlightpodcast@rubbersoph@harryfitz

Welcome to the Inner Light Podcast, where we hope to shed light on the lesser-known aspects of our favourite Beatle George Harrison, and delve into everything from his music to his extraordinary life. This episode is a little different to our usual content and is a personal ‘Ranking’ of all of George’s 10 mainline studio albums. We will be covering from right where we left off from ‘The Apple Years’ last episode and explore all of his main musical output with our personal thoughts, feelings and insights. This format will be a lot more laid back as opposed to our deep-dives as we lean less on sources and more our personal inferences to rank what we deem is a near-perfect discography. Prepare your popcorn, drinks and tissues because this episode is feature length and juicy. We’d love to hear your rankings as well as it is a very personal experience for us that we’d love to share and just a content warning that we discuss some darker tones in this episode covering grief and mental health to name just a few so please bear this in mind before watching.
