Daniël de Groot is returning this season to KAIROS 3 'to defend his title' after a win back in April against Tommy Yip. This new Pro Jiu Jitsu event, takes place on Sunday 16th November at Escapology BJJ in Cambridge and will be showcasing the under 66kg male professional athletes. KAIROS 3 now has a prize pot of £2.5k, and this increase will continue onto the next KAIROS event, once again showcasing female professional athletes. Daniël favours Nogi, and spent a great deal of time mastering the art of coin tossing to secure this style of Jiu Jitsu for KAIROS 2. Sadly, coin-tossing wasn't part of the event, but thankfully his early morning Jiu Jitsu competition training did stand him in good stead for the win last time. We're excited to welcome Daniël back for KAIROS 3, and wish him all the best in preparations leading up to November 16. Ben Sulston and Tinsin Wong make up Two Chefs based in Cambridge, and one of the many sponsors of KAIROS 2 PRO JIU JITSU. Ben is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Tinsin a self-proclaimed 'spazzy' White Belt and both train at EscapologyBJJ, the host of KAIROS. Listen and learn about blast freezing, and the freshness of the food prepared by the Two Chefs as well as how to create great pasta at home. Both Ben and Tinsin have long careers in the food and hospitality industry, and founded Two Chefs around a year ago, bringing their expertise to your microwave. We all agree that KAIROS 2 was the Michelin Star level of Pro Jiu Jitsu events, even if Ben and Tinsin were acting as the swans feet of the actual event. Their upcoming marketing campaign is to normalise eating dinner for breakfast, do go and check them out, and if you're looking to sponsor the next KAIROS event, get in contact with the team at EscapologyBJJ. Daniel De Groot is ready for his Superfight with Tommy Yip at the upcoming KAIROS 2 event at EscapologyBJJ on 27th April 2025. Daniel has been training under the same coach since 2015, and uses signature moves such as Half Guard and Guillotine and Foot Locks. Creating an exciting match is one of the many priorities for Daniel. Facing a familiar opponent in Tommy will bring some challenges, and he will have to find some secret alternate moves, over and above Foot Locks from his purple belts days. Bringing Jiu Jitsu to everyone, as well as building a strong competition team is what Daniel focuses on when not in training camp. Creating a good game plan, as an everyday competitor is his great advice, and to regularly test the plan at competition. In addition to growing the academy, Daniel works with dedicated pro athletes at Haven BJJ on a daily basis.
