For years, I used to dread Valentine’s Day. I told myself it was superficial, overhyped, and proof that love shouldn’t be reduced to one day. But looking back, I don’t think I hated the holiday — I think I hated how performative love felt in my early twenties. In this episode, I’m talking about performative romance, social media relationships, and the pressure to express love in ways that look impressive instead of feeling honest. When you’re in your early twenties and still learning how to trust yourself, it’s easy to confuse what love looks like with what love actually feels like. We’ll explore: Why love can feel performative in your 20s The pressure to “prove” your relationship publicly How social media shapes our expectations of romance Why Valentine’s Day isn’t the problem — our understanding of love might be Learning to trust your own definition of love This episode is about emotional maturity, self-trust, and redefining love beyond grand gestures, aesthetics, and expectations. If you’ve ever questioned whether you genuinely feel something — or just feel like you should — this conversation is for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In this episode of You’ve Got Mail, we’re unpacking the pressure of success in your twenties — from promotions and salary expectations to comparison, productivity guilt, and the fear of falling behind. When we were younger, success felt simple: work hard, get the result. But adulthood doesn’t work like that. And when your self-worth is tied to outcomes you can’t fully control, it’s exhausting. If you’ve been feeling behind, not good enough, or quietly anxious about your career path, this conversation will feel like a deep exhale. We’re talking about ambition, external validation, imposter syndrome, and what it really means to define success on your own terms — instead of chasing someone else’s timeline. Because maybe success isn’t about being ahead. Maybe it’s about choosing what’s actually worth caring about. Love, Bella Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Returning to London always makes me think of the 22-year-old version of me who moved there with no real plan, no clear sense of who she was, and no idea how life in her twenties was supposed to look. She built a life for herself from scratch — navigating uncertainty, independence, and self growth all on her own. Every time I revisit, I’m reminded of how brave I was back then. How doing the thing that scares you — even when it costs you comfort, certainty, or familiarity — is often the most important step in growing into who you’re meant to be. This chapter of my life taught me that trusting yourself, especially in your twenties, can change everything. Big sister advice for anyone feeling lost right now: if it scares you, it might just be worth doing 🤍 Love,Bella Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
