Y'all are deceiving your listeners by dismissing what this case is about. It has simply never happened before in the history of this country that a president has attempted to stay in office after losing an election, and the Supreme Court should be focusing on these facts not on hypotheticals - attempting to stay in office unlawfully cannot be an official act. Also, frankly, Brett, you should mention in this podcast that during his administration Trump attempted to appoint you as a federal judge.

This prosecutor apparently has forgotten how adept a teacher is at judging a child when they are saying “ I did’t use any scissors” when they have a pile of cut paper under their desk. Yes we may be a little to sympathetic but we also really good at seeing the crumbs all over the guilty party’s face.

It doesn't make me distrust the courts. The media is the issue here, in my opinion.

very early in this episode they state that Baltimore is the most corrupt area of the U.S. and it doesn't sound sarcastic. (it might be sarcasm and I just missed the tone cues but I don't think so. they usually make it clear when they are being sarcastic, both here and on their other podcast.) and then they go on to talk about how the justice system *should* work, not how it actually works, and especially in Baltimore. if Baltimore is so corrupt, don't you think the original prosecutors and the subsequent prosecutors might have been corrupt? don't you think the original detectives on the case might have been corrupt? might not the evidence have been tainted? I mean, Baltimore is corrupt. right? these prosecutors even said it up front.

could Jay have done it? If the evidence points anywhere it's to Jay.

Would love your take on Amber Heard's 2016 deposition and the way the lawyers are acting. Is this typical? Have you ever had a deposition like this? It seems highly unusual. It's on YouTube, 'Incredibly Average' has been uploading the whole thing in uncut volumes.
