Happy Wednesday! As it all kicks off in the house of Beckham, our gals ask if this is a classic case of the overprotective boy mum, or is VB being unfairly vilified? As well as unpacking the complicated relationships between families and partners, we also explore why our brains are often our own worst enemies, and how we should stop allowing those intrusive thoughts to have so much control over us.Plus, we all get an education in the black market for nipples, AI podcasters, and why women will always fight the good fight. Happy Wednesday lovely people! We wanted to take things back to the studio this week to round off the year and we have a lovely guest popping in to chat about the ick optics of relationships; journalist Chante Joseph went viral earlier this year with her article in British Vogue Is Having a Boyfriend Embarrassing Now? | Vogue - but how much of what she said was taken out of context and did all the trolls even bother to read it? Tolly and Audrey unpack this and a whole lot more with Chante, as well of course as answering your dilemmas. See you next week for a special ep celebrating the amazing guests our girls have had on the show in 2025! See you on Christmas Eve. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Happy Wednesday! As you know, our girlies won't let being on different continents stop them from bringing the chat, as Tolly sweats in Lagos, and Audrey shivers in London, they deep dive into the Diddy doc, the always 'on' world of the reality TV stars and dealing with a monster in the family. Plus, your dilemmas, including when to jump ship from the parental home, why the man won't give a girl the sexy chat, and if we're right to get the ick if he can't spell. Hosted on Acast. It's not quite Christmas, but here's a little extra something for the stocking, as Tolly and Audrey recently spoke to the wonderful Eni about her amazing career in teaching. Eni popped into The Receipts HQ to chat with the girls about what she loves most about the job, and put our girls in the hot seat to see if they are smarter than a school kid. Big thanks to Get into Teaching for sponsoring this episode Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
As any international woman knows, being on a different continent doesn't stop the chat, and so as Audrey settles on the couch at Receipts HQ, Tolly dials in from her winter break in Lagos; and fills us in on the chaotic flight in the middle seat. Our girls of course catch up on the gossip, as well as getting involved in listener dilemmas including calling time on a 20 year friendship, when you realise a marriage means nothing, and a colleague with an aversion to soap and water. This episode dives into the hilarious chaos of getting ready to go out - from wig mishaps to makeup disasters and toddler interruptions. The conversation wraps with deep advice on relationships, boundaries, family trauma, and knowing when it’s time to move on - whether from a partner, a job, or a chapter of life. Hosted on Acast. In this hilarious yet layered episode of The Receipts Podcast, the girls start with pure chaos - saluting the $88 million Louvre jewellery heist and praising the art of the “victimless crime.” What begins as banter about thieves and Lupin turns into a sharp, cultural deep dive - from street smarts and working-class brilliance to Gucci Mane’s mental health journey, the stigma around schizophrenia, and how Black love endures through struggle. The tone swings effortlessly from laughter to depth, as they debate ride-or-die womanhood, ask when loyalty becomes self-sacrifice, and confront society’s obsession with perfection, empathy, and performance online. The conversation stretches further into power, privilege, and race - from Prince Andrew’s Epstein scandal to America’s “Perfect Neighbor” case - exposing how empathy is often missing where it’s needed most. It’s witty, raw, emotional, and unapologetically honest - a true Receipts classic that reminds you that every laugh hides a truth about survival, loyalty, and the madness of modern life. 😆
Love the podcast but on this episode all of you girls are in stew. If all your relationships are failing you have to remember you are the common denominator in them, somehow you are attracting/choosing the same kind of people. Saying the issue is that most men aren't shit is so self centered because plenty of people are in healthy relationship it's you who are struggling because you aren't looking at yourself introspectively. Is it fires fault that it's hot or is it your fault you put your hand in there?
😂😂😂😂
