It's pretty cool that Long Way Home builds schools out of waste materials, but even cooler is their curriculum that blends sustainable, hands-on learning with the regular curriculum.Students are designing, building, and installing safer stoves for local families. The clean energy transition seems unstoppable now, but back in 2011, Michael Liebreich, founder of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, exclaimed, "Yabasta," he was ready to say enough is enough with the UN COP process. "Yabasta is the rallying cry of the anti-globalists in the anti-capitalist, anti-globalists in Italy back then. And so I said, Yabasta, can we stop doing this? And the reason I said that was I was leading a team, a big team, hundreds of people, and we were tracking this incredible progress across clean technologies. Wind, solar, of course, also EVs, batteries, energy efficiency, the switch away from coal was pretty clear what was happening. And then there were these COPmeetings. The folks who say clean energy can never satisfy primary energy demand have it all wrong, says Michael Liebreich in his essay on The Pragmatic Climate Reset. Due to the inefficiency of fossil fuels, only 68% of primary energy is provided by fossil fuels, he says. In Michael Liebreich's Pragmatic Climate Reset, he calls for an end to polarizing all-or-nothing climate action. VIDEO - Nova Scotia is bullish on offshore wind power. They just offered leases for the development of 5 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity. That's twice the annual electricity consumption in Nova Scotia. And they have already identified suitable areas for up to 60 gigawatts of offshore wind development. That's enough to provide 27% of Canada's electricity.
