Description

Welcome to Through His Eyes: Infertility from a Male Perspective. I’m just one guy sharing what it’s like to walk the long, often quiet road of infertility. For the past eight years, my wife and I have been trying to start a family—and it hasn’t gone the way we thought it would.

This podcast is my way of opening up about our journey—not just the medical side, but the emotional and relational challenges too. Everyone’s story is different, but I hope that by hearing mine, you feel a little less alone in yours.

If you’re a guy navigating infertility, or someone trying to understand what your partner might be going through, my hope is that this space brings honesty, encouragement, and maybe even a little peace—no matter where you are in the journey.

Thanks for listening. May you be blessed.

In this episode, I share about a different path my wife and I explored on our infertility journey—visiting a naturopathic doctor in the summer of 2021 after taking a year-long break from treatments. A friend’s recommendation led us to try something more holistic, and while the tests she ran revealed helpful insights into my overall health, the end result was not what we were expecting. I talk about what it felt like to re-enter the world of fertility conversations from this new angle and how hope, fear, and uncertainty all collided in that moment.
The next step for us in this journey was IUI. With each new treatment option along this journey there has been hope mixed with uncertainty. This step was no different. In this episode I unpack the emotions of being less involved in the baby making process and share an insight I learned this month that connects back to episode 2.  Reach out to me at ThroughHisEyesPod@gmail.com
After initially waiting before starting medical intervention, we finally took the plunge. Roughly two years after we started trying to grow our family we began with Clomid and then eventually trigger shots and timed intercourse. The pressure to perform and the strain that it took on our marriage were some of the most difficult months of this journey. This episode explores the challenges that come with medical treatments but through the hardship our marriage has become a strong foundation.
Your plan not go as expected? Me too. This episode deals with the challenges of the unexpected and things happening outside our control. I thought getting pregnant was going to be the easy part.
