The Phoenix Suns will look to get back on track in their home finale as they host Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night. It’s the second end of a back to back for Phoenix, which blew a 21-point lead to the visiting Houston Rockets on Tuesday.   In addition to it being the 41st and final home game of the regular season, it is Game 80 for the Suns, who enter the night with a 43-36 record on the season. Phoenix can no longer move out of the Play-In Tournament range, but it still has work to do to clinch the Western Conference’s seventh seed to ensure that it will play on its home floor during the Play-In Tournament.   With tonight’s game being the second end of a back-to-back, head coach Jordan Ott suggested that the Suns may not have their full complement of players. In that case, it will be on Devin Booker to lead his group past the presumptive Rookie of the Year in Flagg, who has been playing some of his best basketball as of late. The Phoenix Suns did not do much to inspire confidence Tuesday, blowing a 21-point first quarter lead in a 119-105 loss to the Houston Rockets. Things unraveled for the Suns, who were outscored, 98-68, from the second through fourth quarters.   Phoenix’s efforts were led by 31 points from Devin Booker, but it was far from enough as Houston chipped away at the deficit it faced. The Rockets dominated the glass and had a balanced attack led by 24 points from Kevin Durant.   With the loss, the Suns fall to 43-36 on the season and are officially locked into the Play-In Tournament, but they have yet to secure the seventh seed. Led by 30 points from Devin Booker, the Phoenix Suns snapped a two-game skid with a 120-110 win over the Chicago Bulls on Easter Sunday. With the win, Phoenix moves to 43-35 on the season, but something doesn’t feel right about the way in which the team is performing in these games.   Despite how shorthanded the Bulls were on Sunday, the Suns needed some playmaking and shotmaking in the clutch, namely from Dillon Brooks, who scored all 15 of his points in the second half. Jalen Green scored 18 of his 25 points in the first half and continues to build momentum ahead of the postseason. The downward spiral continues as the Phoenix Suns turned in one of their most disappointing performances of the season, a 127-107 loss to the Charlotte Hornets. With the loss, Phoenix falls to 42-35 on the season and has now lost two of three games on its four-game Eastern Conference trip.   After scoring 41 points in the opening frame, the Suns managed just 66 points over the final three quarters and their porous defense allowed 127 points on 51.6% field goal shooting. The Phoenix Suns came up short Tuesday, suffering a close 115-111 loss at the hands of the Orlando Magic. The game marked Dillon Brooks’ first appearance in over a month, and he finished the game with nine points on 4-of-13 shooting in 22 minutes. It was also a rough outing for Jalen Green, who saw just 20 minutes of action and scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting.   As for positives, Devin Booker scored a game-high 34 points, thanks in large part to his 16 makes from the charity stripe. It was not enough to keep up with the Magic’s balanced attack, as four players finished in double figures, led by Desmond Bane’s 21 points. The loss ends Phoenix’s two-game winning streak and it falls to 42-34 on the season. The Phoenix Suns have officially clinched a winning season, moving to 42-33 on the year with a dominant 131-105 win over the Memphis Grizzlies Monday. Memphis put up a fight but Phoenix used a 40-16 fourth quarter to pull away and take care of business.   Devin Booker led the way with 36 points on 16-of-24 shooting while Jalen Green added 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field. While the Suns were again without five key players, they enjoyed contributions from across the board. The Phoenix Suns suffered a heartbreaker Tuesday night, falling 123-121 at the hands of the Denver Nuggets. Devin Booker’s potential game-winner fell just short at the buzzer, as a floater from Nikola Jokic was what ultimately put the Nuggets up for good.   Booker finished the game with a team-high 22 points but he shot just 5-of-14 from the field. On the other side, Jokic recorded a massive triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 17 assists. Phoenix enjoyed the returns of Grayson Allen (21 points) and Royce O’Neale (17 points) but their contributions just weren’t quite enough.   While it was a tough loss, the Suns showed a few things to be encouraged by throughout the course of the game.
