On today’s cast I tricked Brad into talking about the Lords of Terra by telling him we were going to talk about the Minotaurs. We start with their origins as the magisters temporal, and how that set up some of the “challenges” the imperium would have with them for the next 10,000+ years. Then we move onto the Council of Terra, which also kind of sucked, but was at least functional. Unfortunately we then get to the grand council of reconstruction which was the last time it functioned in a way that benefited the imperium at large, cause that is when the Imperial Senate was created. From there we just dive into the nightmare of bad choices that happened. Until at the end we set up the perceived need by the lords of terra for the Minotaurs.

On today’s cast we conclude our coverage of the 500 worlds campaign book with the conclusion of the events on Novamagnor as well as the events throughout Ultramar. We open with Titus and crew needed to turn their situation around quickly as they are on the verge of losing the planet. While at the same time Ammentar needs to get his Nightbringer shard and will not be denied it. Luckily they both kind of win? After that we jump into the goings on throughout the rest of Ultramar and some of our theories on what is coming next for the lore around the Necrons.

On today’s cast we continue our coverage into the 500 worlds campaign. We open with the retconning of the destroyer curse withing the Necrons. What it is, and how it is evolving in the lore to add a lot of depth to the Necrons. We then talk about Ammentar himself and how he is flipping some of the script on the destroyer curse. After that we jump into the conflict within the Heliodras system. Starting with Titus taking on the hive fleet attacking Idarus. And then following with having to rush to Novamagnor to deal with the explosion of the Necron threat there. With Titus unknowingly seizing a shard of the nightbringer and handing it over to the wrong person in the ad-mech (as usual), and finally with Titus coming face to face with Ammentar himself.

On today’s cast we jump into the 500 worlds campaign. We open with a breakdown of the state of the galaxy in “modern” 40k. From there we jump into the background of the Imperium and the Necrons. We then go over to the set up of Ultramar and how the campaign there is to work, with a focus on Titus and his role in the campaign. On today’s cast we conclude our coverage of the blood ravens. With a brief trip to Dawn of War Soulstorm, and then a hard dive into the Dawn of War 2 series. From the chapter fighting off the orks, the eldar, the tyrandids. And then later fighting off chaos, and discovering the betrayal within their own chapter, and fighting that off, even a greater daemon. From there we go into Dawn of War 3 and the wild events of that game, namely them once again fighting a greater daemon, along with orks, chaos, eldar, etc. We then talk about the latest lore on the Blood Ravens in modern 40k, with them joining Guilliman in his crusade. We then close out with some of our theories on the origins of the Blood Ravens, that we hope will get revealed by GW in the coming editions.

We open with our own theories of what happened to them during the Horus Heresy, did they take different sides, did they go their own path, or maybe they were just weird and ineffective. On today’s cast we begin out coverage of the great enigma that is Alpha legion. And boy is the a doosy. Opening with the origins of the 20th legion, or really the rumored origins of the 20th legion. Their early hints at their existence and purpose, and our theories on what they were really for. From there we go through the numerous stories of Alpharius and Omegon, are they all lies? On today’s cast we cover the after effects of the 1st war of Armageddon with the months of shame. From the decisions on Armageddon by he inquisition with what to do with the populace and solders of Armageddon, to the opening of hostilities between the Wolves and the inquisition. On today’s cast we jump into the events of the 1st war of Armageddon (sort of). We open with a dive into what Armageddon really is and where it actually came from (damn it ad-mech). Then we talk about the Grey Knights, doing a bit deeper dive into them and their function in the imperium. Then we get to the warp and Angron doing a YOLO into the galaxy. After all that we get to the meat and potatoes of the conflict, the planetary guard, the Space Wolves, and now the Grey Knights. Then onto the final battle itself and the breaking of the black blade! On Today’s cast we close out (for now) our Titus coverage. We open with his discovery by the inquisition from his statis prison by Inquisitor Thrax. From there, we follow his adventures with the death watch that lead him to the surface of Kaduku leading to his reunification with the Ultramarines. On Today’s cast we close out our coverage of the Salamanders, with a focus on the Salamanders post Vulkan. So we open before Vulkan is gone with Cassian Vaughn and the Disciples of the Flame. Then we move over to Vulkan He’Stan and the origins of the forgefather. After that we have some fun with Adrax, the grumpiest of the Salamanders. Then we jump into a bunch of the events of the Salamanders, mostly them getting pulled into massive conflicts where they take heavy losses but save the day. The attack by Perigno, the ork invasion of the Osiris sector, purging of the genestealer cult on Ymgarl, defeating Soulsmelter, and of course the 2nd and 3rd wars of Armageddon. On today’s cast we continue our coverage of the Salamanders with a dive into Vulkan coming to lead his legion. With his initial efforts to uplift their technology and recruitment pool by building up nocturn, then his saving of the legion from certain destruction at the hands of the orks. And then to make Brad sad we spend a bunch of time on Vulkan being a A-hole. We then jump to Vulkan and the Salamanders all dying it Isstvan 5, well not Vulkan because he is a Highlander. But then Vulkan is captured by Konrad, which is not ideal We then close with Vulkan returning to Terra just in time to assist the Emperor in his hour of need.

On today’s cast we finish our coverage of the Badab War. Opening with the state of the affairs with the arrival of more space marines into the region. For there we cover the failure of the parley (or was it a failure), and the increase in hostilities. After that we talk about the truth behind the size of the forces of the Astral Claws and the Tiger Claws (surprise). And then the arrival of the Carcharodons to the war and their “unique” style of war. From there we begin the linear progression of the war into the Astral Claws being all alone but still holding there own, until the loyalists come up with a “super special plan.” We the conclude with the post events of the war with the creation of the Red Corsairs from the fleeing Astral Claws, and how the imperium handles the other secessionists.
