Named after a beloved Israeli lullaby, Numu means “sleep” in plural form. This podcast is our way of giving Jewish children a soothing, meaningful good night.

On a quiet night in Mitzrayim, Hashem prepared His children for freedom. In this weeks Parsha, we hear how the Jewish people followed Hashem’s instructions, marked their doorposts, and trusted Him completely. From darkness that protected the Jews to Pharaoh’s final surrender, this story reminds us that Hashem is always watching over us, and helping us take our next step forward.
Tonight, We continue our journey in Egypt as Moshe and Aharon stand bravely before Pharaoh once again. Watch the Nile turn to blood, frogs hop everywhere, lice itch, wild animals roar, and hail crash from the sky! Even as Pharaoh refuses to let the Jewish people go, Hashem shows that He is always watching, protecting, and keeping His promises. A powerful and exciting Parshat Va’era story that reminds us to trust Hashem, especially when things feel hard.
Seven people. One tiny room. And then… a chicken, a goose, a goat, and even a cow! What could possibly go wrong? This classic Jewish story is filled with humor, noise, and heart, and ends with a powerful lesson for children and grown-ups alike. Sometimes, when things feel hard, all we need is a new way of looking at what we already have. A sweet reminder to be thankful and notice the good in our lives.
This week we begin Sefer Shemot and the incredible story of the Jewish people in Egypt. From slavery and courage, to a baby saved from the Nile and a shepherd chosen by Hashem, this episode follows Moshe’s journey to becoming a messenger of Hashem. Through miracles, bravery, and trust, we learn that even when things seem to get harder, Hashem is always keeping His promises.
In Parshat Vayechi, we sit beside Yaakov Avinu in his final moments and listen to words filled with love, wisdom, and hope. Yaakov blesses his children and grandchildren, reminding us that every person has their own unique path. We learn what true forgiveness looks like, and discover how believing in Hashem’s plan gives strength even at the end of a journey. This parsha closes Sefer Bereishit not with sadness, but with courage, faith, and the promise that the story continues.Chazak, Chazak, V’Nitchazek!
