Zena Keita sits down with Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr for a remarkably candid conversation about the "inevitable" end of the Warriors' dynasty. Kerr opens up about the "beauty in the struggle" of chasing one last ring, facing his own retirement, and what life looks like after coaching Steph Curry. Then, The Athletic’s senior writer Sam Amick joins the crew fresh from Las Vegas to break down the NBA Cup results. The team plays a game of "Save It or Scrap It"—debating whether the league should keep the In-Season Tournament, how to fix the load management crisis, and if rule changes are needed to bring intensity back to the game. Plus, a look at the imminent "passing of the torch" from the league’s aging superstars to the next generation, a trade market preview, and a new edition of "Learning Feels Good."Hosts & GuestsZena Keita @itszenakeitaRobert Mays @robertmaysJason Goff @Jason1GoffSam Amick @sam_amickEditor: Matt ShiltsExecutive Producer: Maggie BurbankProducer: Stephen LorenzoA Production of The Athletic, Ode Studios, and Banner Studios. 10 minutes of dead air. cool, cool cool.
This podcast focuses on the most inane, least interesting topics…and takes the worst stances on each.
This Dufour dude needs to work on his conversational awareness. Constantly trampling over others analysis and feedback.
Every December I tell myself I won’t go overboard with holiday accessories, and yet… here we are. To me, Christmas earrings are less about fashion and more about leaning into the fun of the season. I like the idea of having something festive but not cheap-looking, something you’d actually want to keep and maybe wear year after year. The challenge is finding designs that are playful without being tacky. I recently came across this page: https://olertis.com/services/christmas-earrings/ , and it got me thinking about how custom or personalized jewelry makes the difference. Instead of generic snowflakes from a mall shop, you could have a pair that actually feels thoughtful—like part of your holiday tradition. I’ve seen Olertis mentioned in jewelry discussions, and I like that their approach is about turning personal ideas into custom designs. It’s the kind of thing that feels more like a memory than just another accessory.
unfortunately all the great names of the athletic are gone along with the awesome shows they made (and they made daily ding along all of that great content). this is now just a bad version of daily ding
Finally, some Trae Young love and appreciation. Most hated , slept on, overlooked, scrutinized 25.5 - 9.5 career avg player in history.

Mike Smeltz to discuss the Brooklyn Nets (28:37) and play a rousing version of Andrew vs. The Beat (51:03)
Am I the only one who couldn’t give a single shit less about these fashion people?
Draft review with draft guru Sam Vecenie (26:27). Andrew vs. the beat (53:05).
Raptors wheel of fandom with Tas Melas of No Dunks (30:35). Scottie Barnes talk (32:05). Andrew vs the beat (1:00:15).
The annoying background music made this podcast impossible to enjoy. What is the producer trying to do? I just turned it off after a few minutes. I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Terrible!!
All of the sound effects, audio hiccups and song inserts make this a painful listen. It's too bad we can't just listen to the experts and information that we tuned in to hear.

Could you stop putting those other sounds and songs behind the voices of the guests? Nice podcast
