Gabrielle Brownfield grew up skateboarding with her dad and has been a big part of the Ohio skate scene for most of her life. As a young adult, Gabby had the opportunity to take part in several high-profile skate competitions in California, including Combi and Exposure. Anita Tessensohn Sanford is a true trailblazer in women’sskateboarding, from her gnarly street skating in the 80s when girl street skaters were a rarity to her appearance in Powell’s 1987 Some Girls Play With Dolls, Real Women Skate ad. The skate world is getting reintroduced to Anita today, thanks to her appearance on the Bones Brigade Audio Show nearly two years ago.
