We're talking S1E18, Vatman, and once again, Lex is up to no good. He's created a clone of Superman and is raising him to kill the real Superman. Spoiler alert: He succeeds, and we're stuck with Supes #2 for the rest of the series. :(
Of course we're kidding. That would be terrible. Which is to say, the clone is terrible. Please, showrunners... promise us -- no more clones? Ever?
Anywayyy, join us for some split-screen shenanigans and wacky doings, including but not limited to: Lex giving Supes2 a piggyback ride! Clark walking on the ceiling! Lois throwing pasta! Perry jumping off a bridge! And Jimmy, dear Jimmy, losing his mind!
Our Special Feature this week is: (Unofficial) Lois & Clark Fan Clubs!

Lois and Clark are just friends. Nothing more between them. So... why does Lois get wildly jealous when her ex-friend starts romantically pursuing Clark, hmm? Maybe it's because the writers knew we'd love watching Lois jump on Clark's bed, start a fight at a press conference, squeak "How can you be so calm?" and discover Perry hiding in Clark's magical closet.
Yes, this week we're talking about The Rival! And that ex-friend is Linda King, the first of many "pals from Lois's college days" to pop up on the show. Linda lies, she steals, she seduces, and she'll scoop your story right out from under you. And sure, Metropolis Star magnate Preston Carpenter is here, too, trying to take over Metropolis and eventually the world, but... is he even the real villain of this episode?

In this first-season treasure, we're introduced to the cutest character to ever appear on the show (except for maybe baby Clark in Tempus Fugitive) -- iiiit's Jack!
We're talking about S1E16, Foundling!
Remember that Kryptonian globe Clark found way back in Strange Visitor? It starts to glow and chatter, and -- whoops -- suddenly it's gone. It soon falls into the hands of Lex Luthor, who, let's face it, doesn't need more stuff! I don't care how many underground lairs he has! But -- fear not, because when the stakes are high, that globe can fly!
In other news, L&C get nominated for their first joint award, Jimmy and Cat pore over their family trees, and Perry gets called Gramps -- which we're sure in no way influences any of his actions two episodes from now.
Our Special Feature this week is: All About Tracy Scoggins!

The Ides Of Metropolis: Or, The One With the Gigantic Nude Painting of Clark's Mom!
In this fan, um, non-favorite, ALL THE COMPUTERS become infected with a virus, and only Superman and his floppy-disk-transporting powers can save the day! Meanwhile, Lois harbors an escaped convict, Martha might be having an affair, and Lex gets philosophical -- and then accidentally kills someone.
We rarely rewatch this episode, but we're glad we did, because it turns out... Ides has some hidden gems! Clever throwbacks to The Pilot... hints about things to come later in the season... a preview of what married life might look like for Lois & Clark in the far future... not to mention some rare, sweet moments with Clark and his dad.
Of course, we also started noticing that Lois's fish tank badly needs cleaning, so, you know... "enthralling," Ides is not. OUR recap, on the other hand? A total blast (if we do say so ourselves.) So come on and have a listen!
Our Special Feature this week is: Jenn's Visits to the WB Studios in 1995 and 1996!

Let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 12: All Shook Up!
An asteroid is headed toward Earth, and with less than a week until impact, Superman flies into space to stop it. But when he ends up hurtling back toward Metropolis with a raging case of amnesia, will he be able to remember who he is in time? (With Lois's help? Yes, please.)
Meanwhile, Jimmy gets a byline, Cat goes to confession, Lex does a copy/paste of Lois's apartment, Martha pushes Clark off a balcony, and Jonathan hits his son with a baseball bat.
WE LOVE THIS EPISODE!

Lois & Clark are MARRIED? Nah, but they are staying together in the Lexor Hotel honeymoon suite for 3 nights!
But don't get any ideas about romance, okay? This arrangement is STRICTLY BUSINESS... except for the game playing, the personal conversations, the kissing, the teasing, and that whole thing where Lois sleeps completely nude.
There's also an A plot in there, somewhere, too. Allegedly.

Green slime. Pretend money. Headless droids. Postmodernist angst. Clark playing ping-pong. Lois inventing new curse words. YES, it's Smart Kids! Your brain may be telling you that you dislike this episode, but we are here to say that... um... maybe it's slightly better than you remember?
Come along as we recap the episode and as we ask (and try to answer) the MANY questions that this episode inspires, such as: "Where did that ping-pong table come from?" This week we're talking about Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 6: I've Got A Crush On You!
Toss your high heels in the freezer and get out the ice cream, because this is a good one! (Well, maybe not for Lois's ego.)
Lois and Clark go undercover at the Metro Club to try and figure out who's starting fires in the West River District. Can Clark handle having TWO secret identities? Can Lois keep a straight face while wearing yellow feathers and a chicken headdress? Should putting facial hair on Clark be a punishable offense?

This week we're talking about Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 5: Requiem For A Superhero!
Yes, FOLCs, it's "the boxing episode." We like it almost as much as Clark likes playing Poker sans powers.
Perry officially teams up Lois and Clark, then assigns them a story about an upcoming big-deal boxing match. Lois's dad is involved in a boxing scandal and... oh yeah, Lois has a dad! Other surprises in this episode include: Clark likes boxing! Also, Lex has a dog! (Though we suspect Metropolis may have some kind of Rent-A-Pet situation going on.) Also, Perry has extreme emotions! (Watch out, newsroom!)
Requiem For A Superhero: Come for the episode commentary, stay for Clark destroying property!

If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
This week we're discussing Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 4: I'm Looking Through You!
Grab your lucky pen and a cup of lapsang souchong and join us as we explore the nuances of Being Invisible vs. Appearing Invisible vs. Feeling Invisible!
An "invisible man" (Leslie Jordan) is robbing catering trucks in Metropolis, much to the chagrin of his sweet wife (Patrika Darbo), who enlists the help of Lois and Clark.
Meanwhile, Superman gets auctioned off to go on a sky picnic. (How does that work?) The important thing is that Superman brought in more money than Lex. Take that, Luthor!
Clark sees something shocking when Lois's bathrobe slips open! But don't get too excited... we're only on episode four.
In other news, Lois almost dies (again) but Superman busts through a wall and saves her (again). Just another day in Metropolis!
Our special feature this week is: The Warner Bros. Studio Store!!
