Let's take a trip down memory lane and revisit Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 12: All Shook Up! An asteroid is headed toward Earth, and with less than a week until impact, Superman flies into space to stop it. But when he ends up hurtling back toward Metropolis with a raging case of amnesia, will he be able to remember who he is in time? (With Lois's help? Yes, please.) Meanwhile, Jimmy gets a byline, Cat goes to confession, Lex does a copy/paste of Lois's apartment, Martha pushes Clark off a balcony, and Jonathan hits his son with a baseball bat.  WE LOVE THIS EPISODE!   Our Special Feature this week is A Profile On K Callan, aka the unforgettable Martha Kent!   * * * * * All Shook Up first aired on January 2, 1994! Written by Bryce Zabel / Story by Jackson Gillis Directed by Félix Enríquez Alcalá Starring Michael Landes, Dean Cain, Eddie Jones, Lane Smith, Tracy Scoggins, K Callan, and Teri Hatcher Featuring Richard Roat, David Sage, Jenifer Lewis, Matt Clark, Suanne Spoke, Shaun Toub, Lee Magnuson, Rick Fitts, J.A. Preston, Richard Belzer, and SPAAAAACE! * * * Be sure to check out the Adventures Of Superman episode "Panic In The Sky," which inspired this episode. If this link works: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6sndey great! But if not, just google "Watch Adventures Of Superman Panic In The Sky," and (as Lex apparently always reminds himself) hope for the best. * * *  FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
Honeymoon In Metropolis was the final (new) Lois & Clark episode to air in 1993, so we thought it would be fun to look back at that entire year! Welcome to our 1993 Retrospective Episode! We're talking about the movies, the TV shows, the songs, the toys, the snacks, the celebrity marriages -- anything and everything. We also have listener input, quizzes, and fun facts about what we were doing that year! (At least one of us got the "Lois" haircut!) The next time we drop an episode, we'll be into 1994!  * * * * * Link to what the 1993 Game Board looked like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13CKtX6XZI8oB70K8ho5FSw6zdKPmMX2X/view?usp=drive_link * * * * * FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
Grab a plate of your favorite cuisine and join us for Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 11: Honeymoon In Metropolis! Lois & Clark are MARRIED? Nah, but they are staying together in the Lexor Hotel honeymoon suite for 3 nights!  But don't get any ideas about romance, okay? This arrangement is STRICTLY BUSINESS... except for the game playing, the personal conversations, the kissing, the teasing, and that whole thing where Lois sleeps completely nude. There's also an A plot in there, somewhere, too. Allegedly.   Our Special Feature this week is All about IRC -- Our L&C-centric 90s social media platform of choice!   * * * * * Honeymoon In Metropolis first aired on December 12, 1993! This week we're talking about Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 7: Smart Kids! Green slime. Pretend money. Headless droids. Postmodernist angst. Clark playing ping-pong. Lois inventing new curse words. YES, it's Smart Kids! Your brain may be telling you that you dislike this episode, but we are here to say that... um... maybe it's slightly better than you remember?  Come along as we recap the episode and as we ask (and try to answer) the MANY questions that this episode inspires, such as: "Where did that ping-pong table come from?" "Why does Lois randomly say 'borscht'?" "Why is that fourth Smart Kid even there?" and "Is Dr. Carlton the absolute worst?" (Yes. Yes, he is.) Our special feature this week is: Lois & Clark FANFIC!  * * * * * Smart Kids first aired 31 October 1993 Written by Dan Levine Directed by Robert Singer Starring Teri Hatcher, Michael Landes, Dean Cain, Lane Smith, John Shea, and Tracy Scoggins Featuring Courtney Peldon, Jonathan Hernandez, Scott McAfee, Emily Ann Lloyd, Sheila Rosenthal, Michael Cavanaugh, Margot Rose, Bergen Williams, Ralph P. We all saw the new Superman movie last weekend (Julie saw it twice!) and got together to talk about it. Consensus? Listen to find out! This week we're talking about Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 6: I've Got A Crush On You! Toss your high heels in the freezer and get out the ice cream, because this is a good one! (Well, maybe not for Lois's ego.) Lois and Clark go undercover at the Metro Club to try and figure out who's starting fires in the West River District. Can Clark handle having TWO secret identities? Can Lois keep a straight face while wearing yellow feathers and a chicken headdress? Should putting facial hair on Clark be a punishable offense? Come for the heat metaphors, stay for the sports metaphors, and don't chicken out on us, because our special feature this week is: Teri Hatcher's Singing Endeavors! Julie also brings us all the scoop on the bizarre plotlines from the original script!   IGACOY first aired 24 October 1993 Written by Thania St. John Directed by Gene Reynolds Starring Teri Hatcher, Michael Landes, Dean Cain (+ a fake goatee), Lane Smith, and John Shea Featuring Jessica Tuck, Michael Milhoan, Johnny Williams, Audrey Landers, Alexander Enberg, David DeLuise, Shashawnee Hall, Gregg Daniel, Tom Simmons, Piper Perry, and an abundance of yellow feathers   Songs heard or mentioned in this episode: "I've Got A Crush On You" - George & Ira Gershwin, 1928 "Steam Heat" - Richard Adler & Jerry Ross, 1954 "Too Darn Hot" - Cole Porter, 1948 "How Ya Gonna Keep 'Em Down On The Farm?" - Walter Donaldson, Joe Young & Sam M. Lewis, 1919 "Let's Do It, Let's Fall In Love" - Cole Porter, 1928 "It Ain't Necessarily So" - George & Ira Gershwin, 1935   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
This week we're talking about Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 5: Requiem For A Superhero! Yes, FOLCs, it's "the boxing episode." We like it almost as much as Clark likes playing Poker sans powers. Perry officially teams up Lois and Clark, then assigns them a story about an upcoming big-deal boxing match. Lois's dad is involved in a boxing scandal and... oh yeah, Lois has a dad! Other surprises in this episode include: Clark likes boxing! Also, Lex has a dog! (Though we suspect Metropolis may have some kind of Rent-A-Pet situation going on.) Also, Perry has extreme emotions! (Watch out, newsroom!) Requiem For A Superhero: Come for the episode commentary, stay for Clark destroying property!   Fun fact: this episode's screenwriter has exactly one credit on the imdb: This episode.   Our special feature this week is: John Shea!   RFAS first aired 17 October 1993 Written by Robert Killebrew Directed by Randy Zisk Starring Dean Cain, Teri Hatcher, Lane Smith, Michael Landes, and John Shea Featuring Denis Arndt, Matt Roe, Joe Sabatino, John LaMotta, Dave Sebastian Williams, Peter Wick, Jean Speegle Howard, and the first of many Murderous Trucks   * * * * * * * * * * * FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
This week we're discussing Lois & Clark Season 1, Episode 4: I'm Looking Through You! Grab your lucky pen and a cup of lapsang souchong and join us as we explore the nuances of Being Invisible vs. Appearing Invisible vs. Feeling Invisible!  An "invisible man" (Leslie Jordan) is robbing catering trucks in Metropolis, much to the chagrin of his sweet wife (Patrika Darbo), who enlists the help of Lois and Clark. Meanwhile, Superman gets auctioned off to go on a sky picnic. (How does that work?) The important thing is that Superman brought in more money than Lex. Take that, Luthor! Clark sees something shocking when Lois's bathrobe slips open! But don't get too excited... we're only on episode four. In other news, Lois almost dies (again) but Superman busts through a wall and saves her (again). Just another day in Metropolis!   Our special feature this week is: The Warner Bros. Studio Store!!   ILTY first aired 10 October 1993 Written by Deborah Joy Levine Directed by Mark Sobel Starring Lane Smith, Teri Hatcher, Dean Cain, Tracy Scoggins, K Callan, Eddie Jones, Michael Landes, and John Shea Featuring Leslie Jordan, Patrika Darbo, Jim Beaver, Thomas Ryan, Miguel Sandoval, Shaun Toub, Yolanda Gaskins, Francine York, Leslie Rivers, Cliff Medaugh, Nancy Locke, Teresa L. Wells, Bob McCracken, Donna Lloyd, Estelle Levine, and Lex's new boots!   * * * * * * * * * * * * * FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!
Today we're discussing Season 1, Episode 3: Strange Visitor (From Another Planet), in which LOIS AND CLARK KISS! Okay, so it's all part of a strategic survival plan, but... we'll take it! Meanwhile, Clark learns more about his origins, Jimmy attempts to romance Lucy, Perry gives out relationship advice by way of Elvis, and Cat tries to put her paws on Clark. We also have TWO special features: All About L&C's 1st Season Ratings and Lucy Lane & Jimmy Olsen's Romantic History in the Superman Comics!   Note: Strange Visitor appears as episode 2 on the DVDs and streaming services, but chronologically, it's episode 3. It first aired 26 September 1993.   Written by Bryce Zabel Directed by Randy Zisk Starring Dean Cain, Teri Hatcher, Lane Smith, Michael Landes, K Callan, Eddie Jones, Tracy Scoggins, and Elizabeth Barondes Featuring Terence Knox, George Murdock, Joseph Campanella, David St. James, Alex Wexo, Steven Einspahr, Jeff Austin, Tom Dugan, Randall Boffman, and a mysteeeerious globe   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FOLCS Forever: A Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman Rewatch Podcast Hosted by Molly P., Julie P., and Jenn M. https://folcsforeverpod.wixsite.com/podcast https://www.instagram.com/folcsforever https://bsky.app/profile/folcsforever.bsky.social   If you'd like to learn more about who we are, how we became fans of Lois & Clark (FOLCs), or how we became friends, check out our INTRO episode!

Note: Neverending Battle appears as episode 3 on the DVDs and streaming services, but chronologically, it's episode 2. (Fear not; our Strange Visitor episode will be dropping in a week.) We also have a special feature on How Lois & Clark became a TV series in the first place!
