We chat to Alex Skerratt, a friend of Lizzie's who not only writes the Sooty and Sweep show, but whose life has been intertwined with Emmerdale since the 80s! From growing up in real-life Hotten to living with an Emmerdale scriptwriter, Alex shares his Emmerdale memories, as well as behind-the-scenes insights into the writing process and how the show has changed over time.
After quickly debriefing the highlights of Simon's 40th birthday party, we talk about the 3 recent special episodes of Emmerdale as well as expressing our frustrations at everyone gaslighting Eve, discussing why Ray and Celia's horrible barn accommodation has better interior design choices than most other Emmerdale properties, and wondering which new young male character is secretly Kev's son.
