Human beings are dreamers, it's wired into our neurology. As relational communal beings, sharing dreams with fellow kind, loving souls is also wired into our beings. We're made for dream groups. There's usually an absolute feeling of rightness, wonder and yes - magic that enters the space when groups share dreams with one another in dream council. It feels magical because it's the way it's supposed to be for us. Dream groups blow the lid off the myth of separation, and grounds in our cells a knowing of our interconnectedness. Mother Earth is a seasonal being, and all of life within her - plants and humans included - are seasonal beings too. Grandmother Jyoti Ma is an internationally renowned spiritual teacher, grandmother vision keeper and one of my deepest inspirations. I first discovered her through the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, whom she was instrumental in helping to convene, as you will hear in the episode.  You and I are very blessed to have this time with her. This episode is FUN! Bevin has been working as a healer and warrior of self-love for decades... "We are here to dismantle all forms of coloniality that make people unfree in the world," she jumps right into saying.  Bevin is a weaver who has given up on fighting systems and instead focuses on helping people free themselves from within.  Bevin shares how her dreaming came online when her spirituality started waking up, beginning with nightmares when she was living in New York City. These dreams, she says, came to alert her that 1) she was being affected by the thin walls she was living in, 2) she was far more powerful than she realized and 3) she was doing more spiritual/energetic work when awake and asleep than she was aware of. That experienced kicked off a spiritual awakening process that lead to Bevin developing strong practices of energy hygiene and spiritual protection including around dreaming and sleeping. She shares many of her favorite crystals, plants, prayers and meditations... And that's just the tip of the iceberg that we explore together! As so many of my learnings are, this one was inspired by observing my kids. We all know the old adage that what we think on grows... and this just might explain WHY, lullabies - a quiet, gentle song to sing us to sleep - is a practice found across the world and across time.   We explore how protection is a web of love that we are embedded within, and the importance of having life-and-love-affirming beliefs about dreams... beliefs that affirm goodness, benevolence, beauty, soul, and interconnection. What we believe grows. What we think on as we are falling asleep influences our dreaming. We can bless ourselves and each other and this just might help shape our dreams.
