Description
Dear mothers, I am a mother to a 4 year old boy, nick named Prayu. I used to think, teaching my kid about our world is a one sided journey and I couldn't be more wrong. We as mother also explore a new side of life along our kids. We both learn something new every day. With this story series, I'm sharing what Prayu and his Mamma has learned together. Please listen to these stories with your kids at bed time and encourage them to ask questions. I hope you have a wonderful time listening like I had while curating them.

Screens have confined kids inside. But they are part of our kid's life. We cannot allow them completely. What we can do, is make the outside more fun for them, which it actually is. Outsides offer them chance to explore, learn and have new experiences.
Sleeping is extremely boring for kids but is equally important for their growth and brain-body development. I tried to teach my kid that if will sleep properly, he will have a strong body and brain like a super hero. Interesting, isn't it? And true as well to an extent.
Respecting food, is equivalent to respecting nature, respecting the hard work of lots of people, and respecting the energy we get when we consume food. For kids food is one more sense they explore as they grow.
Time is the most important asset we have as human being. How to teach kids it's important? Here is how Prayu learned about respecting time and respecting your words. I would love to hear your approach.
Kids are generally jealous cause they feel threatened, when they see their parents loving some other kid. This is basic human nature. Simply asking them to not behave the way they were isn't enough. We need to kindle a trust in their hearts that their parents love them the most.
Before teaching them that the world is not black or white, we need to teach them that, what other thinks about them does not define them, and that they can be what they want to be until their intentions are good.
We teach kids that they should help others, but it is equally important to teach that they should not forget their own responsibilities while helping :)
A small narration how Prayu learned to treat others the same way, how he wished to be treated. One of the most important lesson of all of our lives :)
We keep telling our kids that sharing is caring, but it is equally important to tell them why. This was my version, how I told my son. Do let me know what was your version. :)
Many times, we till our kids not to cry or don't be sad, when things don't happen the way they wished, is it okay? Isn't crying or being sad important emotions, which they should learn to address. I hope this small stort/conversation helps you and your tiny tot to understand this a little better.
