In this searing episode of  The Angry Alan Show, Alan trains his fury on America’s medical-industrial complex—hospitals, health systems, insurers, and regulators who, in his words, turn negligence into a business model and then blame the patient. His guest, Reasa Selph shares the harrowing story of her 11-year-old son, Nicholas, whose near-death experience exposes just how dangerous that system can be when accountability disappears.Reasa walks through the timeline: December 2023, Nicholas comes down with the flu and is taken to Methodist Southlake , a Texas medical center. He’s given fluids, sent home, and briefly improves. Days later he crashes—lethargic, confused, unable to walk or even provide a urine sample—so the family returns to the same hospital they trust. Despite abnormal labs and a concerning EKG, they’re told it’s “just a virus” and sent home again, with no antibiotics, no sepsis workup, and no sense of urgency. On Christmas morning, Nicholas is jaundiced, gray, and barely responsive. Their pediatrician directs them to Cook Children’s, where a roomful of doctors swarms him within minutes and delivers the diagnosis Methodist missed: septic shock. Nicholas is intubated, vomits a pint of blood, undergoes repeated surgeries, and tells his mother he’s seen Jesus and is ready to die.As Nicholas fights for his life and endures long-term complications, Reasa begins fighting the system. She discovers that Methodist’s own labs showed he was not okay on that second visit—and that federal regulators later cited the hospital for failures in care. Yet the doctor still practices, the hospital still bills, and regulators and boards deflect, delay, and hide behind confidentiality. Reasa describes the deep sense of betrayal, the crushing mom guilt of trusting the wrong people, and the realization that her case is not an outlier: Methodist, on a per-bed basis, is one of the most sued hospital systems in Texas, and many families are quietly paid to keep their stories out of sight.Alan and Reasa dig into the bigger picture: malpractice as a “cost of doing business,” regulators who look the other way, and a culture that values image and billing over human life. Reasa outlines her push for "Nicholas’s Law”—requiring adult-focused ERs to clearly disclose when they’re not pediatric-capable—and a proposed sepsis protocol bill with real fines when hospitals fail to follow life-saving standards. They also discuss the need for political pressure, PACs, and a coordinated movement so families aren’t left to fight billion-dollar systems alone. This episode is raw, emotional, and unapologetically angry. It’s not just about one boy or one family—it’s a warning to anyone who ever has to take a child to the ER and a call to action for transparency, accountability, and systemic change.

Here we go...This week on The Angry Alan Show, Alan dives into a story that’s shaking faith communities across North Texas — a church in North Richland Hills that’s got people talking. Joined by co-host Texas Tim and guest Detective Eric Love, a licensed private investigator, Alan unpacks what’s really going on behind the scenes and why accountability matters everywhere — even in the church.Of course, Alan can’t resist a few detours — from calling out airlines for “lying to their customers” (“If I had wings, I’d fly myself!”) to sharing a surprising encounter with a great lady before the real story unfolds.🔥 Raw. Honest. Unfiltered. Welcome to The Angry Alan Show.
In this episode, Angry Alan launches into a fiery critique of former President Donald Trump, describing his track record as proof of what he calls a “dangerous lunatic.” In Alan’s view, Trump is a sick individual propped up by equally sick and opportunistic politicians who applaud him for their own gain.Alan references the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk before turning to the broader desire of Americans for peace and happiness. He argues that Trump’s war against the “wokeness” of the left has crossed into criminalizing those who disagree with him, further deepening division.Despite his frustrations, Alan acknowledges he doesn’t have all the answers. Still, he is clear in his belief that Trump acts like a dictator—“a king of kings”—and a bully. At the same time, Alan insists America remains a great nation, one worth fighting to preserve through honest dialogue and fresh solutions. He emphasizes that this episode is not meant as a political commentary but rather as a call to action for Americans to step back, dial down the rhetoric, and engage in real conversations about solving the problems facing the country and the world.Closing out the episode, Alan invites his audience to share their ideas, stressing that prosperity and hope should be created for everyone—not just a select few.
In this episode of Angry Alan, Alan welcomes D.L. from North Texas, a self-described “regular guy” who is determined to uncover the truth in a world clouded by propaganda and lies. Together, they dive into the meaning of anger, distinguishing between destructive rage and what D.L. calls righteous indignation—a force that can drive unity, kindness, and justice.Drawing on his law school training and the IRAC method (Issue → Rule → Analysis → Conclusion), D.L. explains how critical thinking can help expose systemic flaws and lead to real solutions. The conversation touches on modern pressure systems, financial crises, COVID-era policies, and the way money often masks deeper issues. D.L. emphasizes that to fight injustice—whether it’s economic inequality, the business of religion, or child trafficking—we must first identify the problem, shine a light on it, analyze it, and then act to fix it.Alan and D.L. also challenge the motives of powerful institutions, asking tough questions about redistribution, wealth, and global control. The recurring theme: always follow the money. D.L. suggests that hidden networks and long-standing groups may be influencing world problems behind the scenes, making critical thinking and vigilance more important than ever. This episode is a candid, thought-provoking conversation about anger, truth-seeking, and the fight against systemic evil—reminding listeners that uncovering truth requires both courage and method.
